Hey everyone, I am probably going to start posting some previews of teams this week - the smaller conferences and teams to get the ball rolling.

Has anyone heard anything about Beau Bisharat???.....He still looks to be buried at CU.....
Really wished he would've stuck with Stanford.....Love with BB this year would've been awesome.......

 

[Jack Lambert]

From what I've seen, he's battling for the 2nd spot in the rotation behind a three year senior captain. Phil Steele has him 2nd on the depth chart as well. I think if he does good, he'll have every chance to win the feature back role next year.

LeonardFan, you can put me down for the remaining teams if no one wants them. I've had a blast doing the ones I've had so far.

I'm trying to rely solely upon official depth charts, most of which I've gotten on twitter from journalists who were provided them at media days, or from team's websites. So some of my teams might not be done until August as I've noticed a lot of Power 5 teams wait until the week before their opener to release updated, official depth charts. I am very much an accuracy and quality guy so I personally prefer having my previews be as accurate as possible and a bit late then relying upon secondary sources that only provide projection and conjecture.

That said, most of the teams I've previewed have actually had an increase compared to last year! And those that have decreased have usually only done so 1-2 starters.

Sure you can take whichever teams you want moving forward. I will continue to do writeups for teams not yet claimed as well so just give me a heads up to let me know what teams you are going to work on. I think most of our regular volunteers have signed up this year for the teams they want. I have been focusing my writeups right now on the non-power 5 teams and I totally agree with you on accuracy and quality when it is possible. I am waiting until August for the official depth charts for my power 5 teams.

The trends are not terrible right now but I am going to temper my expectations as we get into the Power 5 conferences.

I think a good idea would be to have a final post listing each team in descending orders of starters in each conference, while also adding how many starters they added or lost compared to last year. Then a total list of teams in order of starters could also be listed.

Feel free to take whichever SEC teams you want. Your write ups have been great so far and much appreciated. Ole Miss and Miss St. are up for grabs as Col. Reb has not been on the site since last November.

Jack Lambert, Vanilla_Sky and Phall have quite a few of those teams along with many others. They typically get their write ups done a little closer to the beginning of the season. I would just ask as a courtesy to let the volunteers do those teams for which they signed up for. If we get down to a week before the season starts and teams still do not have write ups than I say it is a free for all but let's wait until late August before taking teams spoken for by other users.

Vanilla_Sky has done a great job carrying the write-ups this year and has taken on a great majority of them. You can always coordinate with him to see if there are some he wouldn't mind parting with.

I have a handful of schools left and I am awaiting on updated official depth charts before I do them. Personally, I'm not too keen on projections from outside sources, prefer having them drawn straight from the program to maximize accuracy.

If no one else objects, I can take Ole Miss and Mississippi State. I wanted to them before but as I understood Col. Reb had a bit of tradition of taking on the Mississippi schools and did not want to violate that.

I'm sure the good Colonel wouldn't object, as he's been very busy with his job & tending to his growing family. FYI, he'd previously mentioned that he was pleased to see how the newer CF members had taken the 'ball' on the college football reviews (as he used to do).
