Gonzaga is routinely amongst the more White-friendly teams in the country. and while this year's roster isn't as "overachieving" and "hard hat"-filled as in year's past, the Zags still are a team that boasts some talented blue collar, lunch pail carrying gym rats.

returning at the stretch four spot is sophomore Frenchman Killian Tillie. an NBA prospect with plus athleticism, Tillie has a nice face up game to go with his bounce around the rim. he is being expected to make a big jump from his role as a bench contributor last year to being a go-to guy on both ends of the floor this year.

also in the starting lineup is true freshman Corey Kispert. a 6-foot-6 guard/forward, Kispert has a silky smooth, long range jumper and compliments it by having the body and poise of an upperclassman. and he will DUNK ON YOUR HEAD. his handles are still a bit shaky, but he has an otherwise impressive all-around game as demonstrated by his stat line after devouring two early-season cupcakes: 64% from the floor, 5 of 9 from 3-point range, 9 rebounds (including 6 offensive), 5 assists, and just 1 turnover in 47 minutes. he has the potential to be a GREAT one. i'm not saying that lightly, either. it's obvious head coach Mark Few feels the same way, because i can't recall another freshman to start from day one since he's been there ... not even scoring machine Adam Morrison or stalwart guards Gary Bell (black) and Kevin Pangos.

two other freshman also have a bright future, but may take a while to get up to speed. redshirt Jacob (pronounced Yah cub) Larson is a 6-foot-11 center from Denmark who is coming off a major knee injury that cost him all of last year. a sweet-passing big man who gobbles up rebounds, i expect Larson to emerge as the 3rd big in Gonzaga's rotation (coming off the bench behind starters Tillie and Williams) before the season is out. combo guard Jesse Wade is coming off a two-year Mormon mission, but he is a lights-out shooter with DEEP range. he was Utah's Mr. Basketball in high school, and it wouldn't surprise me for him to be playing starter's minutes by the end of the season.

Gonzaga faces their first real challenge of the season this evening against Utah State.

additionally, Gonzaga has a White power forward committed in next year's recruiting class and a trio of gym rat commitments for 2019.

Forgive me, but Monday, I somehow didn't post about the highly anticipated debut of Virginia's redshirt freshman Jay Huff. He went 7/8 from the field and finished with 16 points, 5 blocks, 4 rebounds, and 2 assists in 24 minutes!! Not bad for the 7'1 forward! He's got all of the tools to be a great player.

On Friday Virginia beat black favorite VCU 74-67. They were led by Kyle Guy who scored a career high 29 points, including two clutch 3-pointers in the final three minutes!

Kyle Guy stuff that is good news. Just a few comments about some players from yesterday. Maryland's Kevin Huerter now a sophomore scored 16 in a tight win. Terrific all around skills to go with his ranginess. Gonzaga sophomore see above posts Kim Tillie had his best game yet. 20 pts and 9 boards. Very athletic rangy player. If he can get his skills in order the NBA would be very interested. Speaking of athletic Oregon State big man Drew Eubanks was ferocious last night in a tight battle. He scored 26 points and had 11 rebounds and a couple of blocks for good measure. Some of his points came on some of the nastiest volcanic dunks you will ever see. This guy has raw ability. Think Mason Plumlee with a higher ceiling. Oregon State is glad to have Tinkle back too who poured in 20 in the win.

Butler's Paul Jorgensen and Sean McDermott both had good games in the Bulldogs' win against Furman. Jorgensen (coming off the bench now) had 16 points on 7/10 from the field to go with 3 assists and 2 boards. McDermott had an efficient outing as well, with 17 points on 6/8 from the field to with 4 assists. Jorgensen's replacement in the starting lineup, black freshman Aaron Thompson? 0 points on 0/1 shooting to go with 4 assists and 4 TOs in 27(!) minutes! No exactly very good numbers. In fact, I read that Jorgensen was the one who was keeping Butler in the game early with his shooting. Yet, message board DWFs for Butler now say Thompson had a (good) outing and Jorgensen is best suited as that "spark" coming off the bench. A couple of things: 1. Imagine if the races were reversed and a white freshman (with no jumpshot like Thompson) played like that in 27, when the black upperclassmen who had just been benched plays as great as Jorgensen did yesterday. The black players on the team would revolt if said black upperclassmen was not put back in the starting lineup. The DWFs would revolt if that stat line stayed in the starting lineup. But, as things stand, Thompson will never leave the starting lineup, according to this DWFs.

2. The comments about Jorgensen coming on as a "spark" off the bench got me thinking. Why is it ALWAYS white guys who are that "spark" off the bench. It was Tyler Lewis for Butler last year, despite the black starting PG's subpar play. This year, Donte DiVincenzo (who broke out last year) is now relegated to coming off the bench for Villanova, for a guy that missed all of last year at that. Before he got hurt, DWFs wanted Iowa's Nicholas Baer to be that "spark" guy. Before his competition got hurt, Northwestern DWFs wanted senior forward Gavin Skelly to be that "spark" guy, again, for a guy that missed all of last season to injury. Now, as long as guys like Jorgensen are playing the 20+ minutes they deserve, it works out for the most part, and I do realize that there needs to be a player who can get a team going from the bench (it's obviously NOT the offensively challenged Thompson in Butler's case), but why does that guy relegated to 6th man "spark" ALWAYS seem to be white?

Anyways, back to some stats:

Northwestern's Bryant McIntosh is a stud. He led the Wildcats to a win over all-black LaSalle with 21 points, 7 assists, with only 2 turnovers. He'll be fun to watch this year.

Belmont's Dylan Windler continues his run of awesome play: he had 23 points, 14 boards, and 5 assists in the Bruins' win over Houston Baptist. Austin Luke also dished out 8 assists.

Purdue's Dakota Mathias had 23 points, 4 assists, and 4 rebounds as Purdue blew out a cupcake.

Corey Kispert, the Gonzaga freshman who Jimmy mentioned, played great last night, with 12 points and 9 boards! Can't wait to watch the Zags.

And from Friday night, Svi Mykhailiuk had a game high 27 points in Kansas's win over South Dakota State. Mike Daum had 21 and 11 in the loss.

A few results from today. Ben Lammers nearly had a triple double, and was the sole reason that the Yellow Jackets held off an upset bid from a cupcake. Lammers had 19 points (on 8/12 from the field and 3/4 from the charity stripe), 13 boards 8(!) blocks, 4 steals, and 2 assists!! He was a one-man wrecking crew today!

Kyle Guy had 13 points today in an easy Virginia win.

Belmont's Austin Luke finally got things going: 26 points, 4 assists, and 3 rebounds in another Bruins' win.

There'll be some big games starting this week! There are a lot of Thanksgiving tournaments on, so here are a couple of games to keep your eye on... all times Eastern.

Iowa is playing Louisiana Lafayette on the Big Ten Network at noon.

Marquette and their three white starters will take on all-black VCU at 2:30 on ESPN2

UCLA and Creighton will be playing at 7 PM on ESPNU

Maryland plays Jackson St. at 8:30 on BTN

Notre Dame will play Chaminade at 9 on ESPNU

Wisconsin will play Baylor on ESPN2 at 9:30

Michigan will play LSU at 11 on ESPNU.

Watched the 1st half of the Marquette game and man I was impressed by PG Andrew Rowsey the transfer from UNC -Asheville! He dropped 15 and was 7of7 from free throw line. He finished with 20 as did Forward Sam Hauser and The Golden Eagles dropped 94 in a win vs VCU.

Great to see Marquette dispose of one of the primary caste programs! I got to watch a lot of the 2nd half, and Hauser and Rowsey played great!

Wichita State (which was playing 2-3 white players for nearly all of the 2nd half) came back from 18 down today against nearly all black Cal!! Conner Frankamp really struggled, but I was impressed with the defense and poise of the Shockers' two white bench players in guard Austin Reaves and forward Rauno Nurger, who were both instrumental in the comeback. Nurger finished with 11 points and 6 rebounds, and Reaves stuffed the stat sheet with 6 rebounds, 5 points, 4 assists, and 1 steal! Marquette and Wichita State play tomorrow.

Notre Dame and Michigan are both going to be playing games in the same tournament tonight... here's to hoping for a sweep for our teams!!

Creighton and UCLA are each playing a couple of our guys right now on ESPNU.

Richmond's Grant Golden played amazing today!! He had a game-high 26 points, 7 boards, 3 blocks, 2 assists, and a steal!

Wisconsin made a valiant attempt at a comeback, clawing back to within four late against Baylor on the back of some great defense. However, one of Wisconsin's endless upside affletes, Khalil Iverson, fouled on a three point attempt (which the Baylor player made all three of his shots) and then Iverson proceeded to use his amazing athleticism to miss a dunk on the other end off of a nice pass by Davison. Happ had another great game, with 23 points, 13 boards, and 4 assists against a good Baylor front court. Davison is going to be a stud; he had 13 points, 3 boards, and 2 assists off the bench.

Matt Farrell had a career-high 27 points for Notre Dame tonight in the Irish's easy win over Chaminade.

Kevin Huerter had 14 points 3 rebounds, and 3 assists in an easy Maryland win.

Another player who really impressed me tonight was Creighton guard Mitchell Ballock. Ballock is an absolute baller with some athleticism to boot. He was on fire tonight, finishing with 23 points, 3 assists, and 3 boards. He's a VERY confident shooter, and can also drive the lane very well. He's a pretty effective passer as well. Look for him to do BIG things for Creighton this year. Even the announcers loved him!

Thomas Welsh played well in the UCLA loss to Creighton, with 16 points, 13 rebounds, 3 assists, and 2 blocks.

Notre Dame demolished all-black LSU last night! LSU, with new head cuck Will Wade (formerly of VCU, which should tell you all you need to know) is a particularly odious squad, and I'm glad the Irish destroyed them to the tune of 92-53. Matt Farrell had 17 points and 7 assists, Geben had 10 and 4, Rex Pflueger did a bit of everything with 6 points, 3 assists, and 4 boards, while John Mooney had 9 and 6.

Svi Mykhailiuk again led Kansas in scoring against HBCU Texas Southern with 21 points. Reserve forward Mitch Lightfoot had 10 points, 4 blocks, and 3 boards.

Wisconsin again lost a close game to UCLA, but it wasn't due to Ethan Happ or freshman phenom Brad Davison. Happ had 19 and 9 while Davison had 14. Thomas Welsh again had a nice game with 10 points and 8 boards, and from what I heard, GG Goloman kept the Bruins in the game early with a season-high 11 points.

Baylor ended up winning over Creighton last night in a close game, and I think Baylor may have the most odious team in the country. Not only are they nearly almost all-black, but "coach" Scott Drew has been bringing in blacks and "refugees" from all over the world, including from Belgium, a Kenyan "refugee" from Minnesota, and a Sudanese "refugee" from Australia. That's not even counting the various ghettos around the USA where Drew gets players.

Purdue unfortunately lost to Tennessee today as well. Purdue's two "stars" Carsen and Vince Edwards, jacked up bad shot after bad shot. Although Carsen Edwards finished with 21 points, but did so at a 5/17 clip from the field. The other Edwards was even worse, scoring just 11 on 3/13 from the field! Absolutely awful, only made worse by former Purdue player Robbie Hummel's fawning all over them through the game. Dakota Mathias (who's the actual best overall player on the team) and Isaac Haas don't get near the credit they deserve. In fact, it was 7 straight points in OT by Mathias (who finished with 15 points, 8 rebounds, 3 assists, and 3 steals) that got Purdue in position to win, but the Boilermakers ultimately came up short. Part of it is the fact that the two Edwards don't concern themselves with things like rebounding or boxing out, and Haas not being tough enough sometimes. Of course, the refs "let" Tennessee get away with a bunch of grabs and what have you. During the game, Hummel even said: "And he knocks down Haarms (white Purdue player) here, it shows his toughness!" Of course, any guy with eyes could see it was a blatant foul. Hopefully Purdue bounces back from this loss, which they should, as they have a likely game with Western Kentucky tomorrow.

Even though a couple of the games today didn't go our guys' way, we still had some great performances.

First, Belmont lost at Providence on a buzzer beater. However, our guys played well in this one, showing they're going to be a threat in the NCAA Tournament. I'm glad I got a chance to watch Belmont against a quality opponent. They looked right at home. The Bruins play a very unselfish game of basketball, and are very fun to watch. Two of the Bruins' three best players, point guard Austin Luke, and small forward Dylan Windler, looked great. Those two, along with black forward Egekeze, will keep the Bruins in any game they play this year. Luke had only 6 points, but had 9 assists to just 3 TOs, along with 3 steals. Dylan Windler led Belmont with 17 points, 10 boards, 3 assists, and 2 blocks. Windler is a great athlete, much better than media hacks give him credit for. Outside of these two, Belmont has one other white starter in Mack Mercer, and 3 more bench players in their 10-man rotation. Belmont is definitely going to be a squad to watch this year!

Michigan got a better result against today. Tied late against all-black VCU, Wagner had a big 3 point play, and then sealed it on the next possession with a 3 pointer with 10 seconds left, giving Michigan a six point lead. Wagner finished with 12 points, 9 rebounds, and 2 steals. Duncan Robinson led Michigan with a game-high 18 points and 5 rebounds.

Marquette defeated all-black LSU tonight behind a HUGE first half from Sam Hauser (finished with 20 points, 3 boards and 3 assists) and a HUGE 2nd half from Andrew Rowsey (finished with 30 points, 5 assists and 3 rebounds). The Golden Eagles looked really good. I was VERY impressed with Rowsey in this tournament. This kid is absolutely electric, and can score in ANY number of ways. He's as quick as a cat, and has tremendous ball handling skills. Sam Hauser is also impressive, to the point where Wojo called him "the most indispensable player on the team." Center Matt Heldt, not to be forgotten, had 12 points, 4 boards, 3 blocks, and 2 assists. Marquette gets big man Harry Froling eligible in December, and will definitely be one of our best teams to follow this year.

South Dakota State's Mike Daum 34 points, 6 boards, and 2 blocks against an all-black Buffalo team.

In another impressive performance, Iowa stopped a 2 game skid, thanks to Jordan Bohannon's 30 points. Luka Garza also had 14 points, 7 boards, and 3 blocks.

NC State freshman Braxton Beverly was impressive tonight in the Wolfpack's win over No.2 Arizona. Deemed ineligible initially by the clueless NCAA, Beverly was given a waiver to play after multiple appeals by him and his head coach. He rewarded his coach tonight with 20 points, 2 assists, and 2 steals.

Donte DiVincenzo had a nice game as well with 14 points and 3 assists today.

Notre Dame rallies from a 16 point 2nd half deficit and comes back to shock the Shockers in the Maui Invitational Championship Game!! Senior big man Martinas Geben hit two crucial free throws with 2 seconds left to put the Irish up 67-66, their first lead since the opening moments of the game. Matt Farrell and Bonzie Colson (black) were HUGE in the come back win. Colson finished with 25, while Farrell finished with 15 points, 4 boards, 4 assists, and 3 steals, including a HUGE one with under 10 seconds left in the game. Geben finished with a productive 12 points, 5 boards, 3 assists, and 2 blocks. Farrell is one of my favorite players this year, and I think Notre Dame is my favorite team to watch this year. They are so much fun to watch, and I think can legitimately make a deep run into the NCAA Tournament. As an aside, Maui was a great tournament for a lot of our guys and teams. Michigan went 2-1 and finished 5th, Marquette went 2-1 and finished 3rd, and Notre Dame won it!! Heck, even Chaminade, the D2 host school, started four whites and demolished all-black Cal yesterday to finish 7th!

A few more good results the last couple of days.

Northern Iowa (2 white starters and all white bench players) has upset both all-black SMU, and NC State enroute to the Battle 4 Atlantis Tournament Championship game today! Reserve guard Spencer Haldeman was key in the SMU game, scoring a team-high 15 points. Senior forward Bennett Koch was 2nd on the team with 12 points and 8 boards. Yesterday, Koch had 16 and 15 in the win over NC State.

The team they are meeting, Villanova, came back and beat Tennessee yesterday. Despite coming off the bench, Donte DiVincenzo has been playing 28+ minutes per game, basically a 6th starter. DiVincenzo is one of my favorite players this year, and he stuffed the stat sheet again yesterday, with 13 points, 6 boards, 2 steals, a block and an assist.

Virginia knocked off nearly all-black Vanderbilt yesterday. Kyle Guy led the Cavs with 18 points, 4 boards, and 13 assists, while PG Ty Jerome wasn't far behind with 14 points and 5 assists. Virginia will play all-black Rhode Island today for the Preseason NIT championship.

St. Mary's slugged all-black Harvard to the tune of 89-71, and it wasn't really that close. Jock Landale dominated the Crimson with 26 points and 7 boards, while Emmett Naar was a rebound and assist short of a triple double; he had 11 points, 9 boards, and 9 assists. The Gaels get Washington State today; they shouldn't have much trouble with one of the worst Power-6 teams in college basketball.

Arizona State's Kodi Justice scored 28 points on 9/10 from the field and 6/8 from the FT line.

Egor Koulechov of Florida continues his red-hot start to the year. He scored 26 points in a win over Stanford in just 23 minutes!

Finally, junior guard Matt McQuaid, starting for Michigan State last night because their lottery pick was injured, made the most of his minutes. McQuaid had a game-high 20 points as the Spartans dismantled DePaul.

HC Tom Izzo lead the Spartans to 20-15 record in the 2016-17 Big-Ten season. Michigan States main drawback is that they don't exactly have any white "stars" on their roster this season. The bright side is states roster is loaded with pale faces on their depth chart!
The closest thing State has to a star white player is Jr. Matt McQuaid, who is the starting SG! McQuaid is their lone white starter, but they do return 2 Sr. big-men who will be crucial off the bench in Gavin Schilling and Ben Carter. Either Schilling or Carter will be named 6th man, one of them will have to prove superior. Another member of their rotation will be Jr. swing-man Kyle Ahrens, he looks to hopefully back-up McQuaid! The last member of this Spartan rotation includes a former walk-on in So. Conner George, a combo-guard he's mainly just a hustle player that occassionly drains a 3!

Jr. SG Matt McQuaid 6'5 205: Averaged 5.6 ppg 2 rpg and 1.2 apg in 21 mins per game in 16-17. Already almost doubled that total so far this year, with averages of 9.0 ppg 1.8 rpg and a .389% clip from 3 in 24.3 mins! Scored a career high the other night @ DePaul, going for 20 points and a rebound in 28 mins!

Duke is currently AP's No. 1. Hopefully Grayson puts it all together this year and is a major part of Duke winning it all.

Lauri Markkanen, who many figured was the most NBA ready has been playing well averaging 14 points a game and rebounding well but the Bulls are awful. Players like TJ Leaf and Kennard are getting basically scrub minutes with some flashes and Tyler Lydon is nowhere to be seen with Denver. Was it worth it guys? Imagine right now Leaf would be the talk of the town at UCLA, Lydon would be the pillar at Syracuse and Kennard would make Duke unbeatable. And one more year at Arizona would have been terrific for Markkanen playing on a big winner rather than a loser. And they are non factors for the media so for the sake of fighting caste a net loss. If they were in college we get nightly highlights.

If those players were drafted in the first round receiving large salaries, then yes it was worth it for them. They are now financially set for life. They never have to worry about health care costs, car repair bills, housing costs, or living in a dangerous neighborhood.

Speaking of Huerter see above post as he ended up with 23 points jacking up threes from beyond deep in a loss. It was crazy. In that game I got my first look at a freshman from Syracuse I forgot about. 6'9" F Marek Dolezaj is a rangy leaper who sticks his nose into everything and has already become a fan favorite with his hustle. He has a way to go in terms of offensive refinement although he did score 10 points. Where he has been making his mark early on is rebounding. A fun player to watch and even though he comes off the bench it helps take the sting away from not having Tyler Lydon around anymore. Lydon is currently an invisible man on the Nuggets.

Huerter, another good athlete, is one of three sophomores that come to mind that have expanded their games this season.

Kyle Guy was driving to the basket and penetrating on his way to 17 points as Virginia took care of Wisconsin. It is nice to see his development in only one year. Last year he was primarily a stand still shooter. Nice athlete and who knows perhaps NBA potential when it is all said and done. He is very good .

A third sophomore that jumps out at me is Killian Tillie a 6'10" PF. Very bouncy and active he has an array of skills that if developed properly he is a definite NBA type of player. Just think if C Zach Collins had stayed at Gonzaga for his sophomore year? What a team. Instead Collins is rotting on Portland's bench.

I know I say it too often but for anti caste purposes it is better that the white players are front and center and visible on TV and highlight shows throughout the season. Four out of the five College Players who jumped last season are nowhere to be seen in the NBA. To me I would rather see them star in front of crazed college crowds and TV screens across the country. What good does it do us if they are sitting on an NBA bench?

Great posts, celtic and shadowlight! I've been busy lately, so thanks for posting some scores and performances by our guys. I have to say again, I agree completely with Shadowlight. Those guys who got drafted would've gotten drafted anyways in a later year. All of them are good enough talents. They would've gotten their money in due time. It would awesome... No. 1 Duke with Allen and Kennard starting again?? Syracuse with Lydon and Dolezaj making big impacts? UCLA with high-flyer TJ Leaf around one more year, this time as the MAN? Markkanen is the only one currently producing. The other three would've been best served coming back as all-America candidates. Instead of just Happ and Allen on a lot of All-America teams, it would've been those two, plus Leaf, Kennard, AND Markkanen, with Lydon just on the outside? It would've been the best year for college basketball in a LONG time if those guys would've came back.

Henry Ellenson is the one that pisses me off the most. He's done nothing in two years in the NBA, yet he'd be the face of Marquette basketball right now as a junior, and would've lead a very white Marquette team on a big NCAA run last year. You can't tell me he's helping anything going between the Piston's bench and their D-League team.

Cuz im kinda worried at this point. Only 37pts last night and they're continuing to struggle to find scoring besides Happ! More worrisome is lapses on defense, turnovers, free throw percentage. Traditionally all things the Badgers have excelled at last 16yrs when they've made the Tourney!
