Brian Kelly leads the Fighting Irish into 2016. Kelly has definitely changed the culture in South Bend to fit modern progressive standards, continuously sneaking his upside laden athletes through admission requirements. As a result, the blue-collar image Notre Dame carried for so many years is no more. Kelly also bought lots of “diversity” to campus, which helps to keep the campus police employed. The latest arrests resulted in starting safety Max Redfield being kicked off the team.

At any rate, Kelly has really brought in those with room brightening smiles, so much so that white depth is becoming an issue on this team. The QB position won’t be seeing a white player around it for a few years. Durham Smythe will get a chance to shine after Alize Jones was injured. With Redfield off the team, Drue Tranquill gets his chance at safety as well. The only backups are: the entire OL, and TE Nic Weishar. Screw Brian Kelly for selling out. Since 2005, Notre Dame has had 10, 11, 11, 11, 10, 10, 11, 11, 9, 8 and 6 white starters, it’s back up to 8 this year, but it will probably be around 4-5 within a 3 seasons.

Offense

TE – Durham Smythe

LT – Mike McGlinchey

LG – Quenton Nelson

RG – Colin McGovern

RT – Alex Bars

Defense

DE – Andrew Trumbetti

LB – Greer Martini

S – Drue Tranquill

Kelly just another coach who carved out
a successful career using white players only to ignore them once he landed a big time job.

Notre Dame redshirt junior T Mike McGlinchey indicated that he will return for the 2017 season.

Nobody would blame McGlinchey for jumping to the draft after this debacle of a 4-8 season Notre Dame has offered forth to the world, but the 6-foot-7, 310-pounder explained in October that he still feels there is much room for improvement in his game before he is ready for the NFL stage. Said McGlinchey, "I have 19 games left here, and that's what I fully intend to take on. I have a lot left to learn. I'm not ready to go anywhere."

Isn't it hilarious that Notre Dame was forced to forfeit all their wins from a couple of years ago due to cheating? Apparently they had someone taking tests for their AA football players. Remember when famous Notre Dame alumni complained that the strict grade requirements at the school prevented them from getting the best (black) players? I guess Kelly agreed and instead of recruiting white players that can also pass tests decided to try and cheat his ignorant recruits through the program. He should be fired.

QB Zaire to transfer. Kizer will probably go pro but, don't "worry", Kelly has yet another black quarterback ready to take their place...

Man I hate Kelly! Crazy to think I used to cheer for this team. Miss the days of Quinn, Zbikowski, Samardija..

Those were some amazing teams to watch. I loved Notre Dame during that time.

Crazy to think it's almost been a decade, those ND teams had usually 10-12 white starters..

2017 LB commit, Pete Werner, has reneged on his commitment to ND and will most likely end up at Ohio State, where he attended the OSU/Michigan game this past weekend on the behalf of OSU.
