I wouldn't give him too much credit. GOP image consultant Frank Luntz was brought in by the Panthers to coach them on what they should say

http://www.si.com/nfl/2016/09/16/cam-newton-colin-kaepernick-anthem-protests-race-panthers-49ers

Race has played a role in some, if not most, of the criticism Newton has received over the years. He said it in January and he said it again to the nation’s most recognizable black publication. But since then, something has changed, and Newton has been operating under the politics of respectability and colorblindness.

Part of the shift has to do with GOP pollster and PR advisor Frank Luntz. Luntz has worked with the Panthers before—Deadspin outlined some of his work with them and Cam Newton in a piece from 2014, which included, as the article says, “a campaign to enhance the image of several players and the organization.” He was called in (by whom is unclear) this off-season to help Newton frame discussions on race among other topics, according to sources close to Newton. (Newton’s camp denies this.) Luntz, who declined comment on this story through a spokeswoman, is often credited with prompting the phrase “climate change” rather than global warming and helping Newt Gingrich with his 1990s “Contract With America.”

The Colts offensive line isn't playing well.

Ryan Fitzpatrick has lobbed up 5 interceptions today. DWFs will be screaming for Geno Smiff.

Daniel Sorensen with a pick for the chiefs.
Although it was a nice sideline pick, a tough grab and had to get both feet in, it was actually a dumb interception since it came on 4th down. Hopefully Fat Bastard doesn't hold the 15 yards or so of field position against him.

that wouldn't be the worst thing. He'll stink it up for a couple games then maybe we could finally see Petty, or Hackenberg

The Rams and Bucs game is suspended because of lightning. 2:00 left. The Rams had this thing won. Now the defense gives away a late TD and one inept offensive series looks like they may hand it to the loathsome Winston and the Bucs, which would be be beyond horrible. Winston has basically done nothing today and this might be a fluke. I sure hope not.

The cameras sure are spending a lot of time focusing on the white San Diego TE who had the ball knocked out from behind

They won't. The Jets DWFs actually hate Geno and were disappointed he was not released. If it became clear that the team needed to bench Fitz, I think Gang Green faithful would support Petty.

I can't disagree! I think the Jets entered this season hitching their hopes to Fitzpatrick. It is doubtful that Smiff becomes the starter. Personally I would love to see Petty in their at some point (Hackenberg needs time to develop) if Fitzpatrick falters again.

Fitzpatrick had a terrible game today, but he played well in the first two games of the season. Hopefully the Jets' decision makers are not as impulsive as the DWFs and realize that Fitz shouldn't be benched unless he has multiple bad games, and if he does get benched he should be replaced with Petty, not Smiff.

The Jets' ridiculous decision to keep four quarterbacks on their 53-man roster shows AA in action. Fitz is there because he's the veteran, Petty is there because he showed a lot of promise in the preseason, Hackenberg is there because he hasn't yet had a chance to show what he's got, and Smiff is there because of the color of his skin.

Cool play of the day: Redskins punter Tress Way throwing a beautiful pass for a huge gain on a fake punt on 4th and 12.

WTF of the day: The Browns using Terrebelle Pryor as QB on some plays. That's not the way to build up Cody Kessler.

Not sure why Jordy didn't get a target in the 2nd half.

The Packers did the same thing in 2014; Jordy would hit 100, and they would shelf him for the rest of the game. I remember a game where Jordy had over 150 in the 1st quarter, and didn't catch another pass the rest of the game... Jordy could have easily gone for 2000 yards in 2014, if not for the Packers towing the line...

Mitch Unrein and Nick Kwiatkowski starting for Chicago tonight. Look for safety Chris Prosinski in the sub packages too.

Nice comeback win for the Colts but it's gonna be along year if the offensive line doesn't play better. Andrew Luck was getting killed back there the whole game. Feel bad for him.

A new euphemism I've started to notice for blacks is student of the game and/or teams history. I guess they are trying to convey a sense of pride and dedication to the NFL and team's history to mask the low Wonderlic's thuggery, BLM, and general lack of connection to "their" teams city. But I just cant picture someone brotha on the bears or giants caring about Bronco Nagurski or Jim Thorpe unless it analyzed the racial injustices of that era

Beasley and Witten doing really good for Dallas. Frederick on the OL also very key. Without them they are not dominating the Bears.

After Beasley's 29 yard catch...(can't remember exactly/one word may be missing?) Collinsworth says "reminds you of those Patriot receivers Amendola & Edelman where quickness over speed is paramount"??

Collinsworthless has already compared Dak to all time greats Tom Brady and Roger Staubach. This guy is a loony toon, such a goof. Hard to believe he was a great athlete.
