Humphries and Brate have been fantastic in their roles for the Bucs. Brate, in particular, seems to possess the tangibles and intangibles to be a future superstar at the TE position.

I saw the Alex Erickson 72 yard kickoff return live on Sunday and he was heading for the house but the diving punter just nicked him and then Erickson sort of got his leg tangled and fell. He sort of tripped himself but I think if his teammates had alerted him the punter was diving at him he could have avoided the stumble. Damn it. That said he is second in the league in total kickoff return yards and near the top in yards per return. His punt return stats are less spectacular but solid enough. Not bad for a non drafted WR out of Wisconsin. At the time coming off a great college career we all said he was an NFL caliber player and guess what he belongs in the league. It is Celtic who is the Green Bay/Wisconsin fan right? Anyway the Pack (and through history too) are the best cold weather team in the NFL. Makes sense hell Green Bay North Pole what's the difference? Just joking but that's why it is important for the Pack to get home field. Nothing like a nice January day in Green Bay for a playoff game.
I don't know if the Pack will win their last two games (finale in Detroit) but man it would redeem some of this blasé season if they were to make it and flourish in the playoffs. And Jordy is starting to get his legs back and what a joy to behold that is to say the least!!!
Not a big fan of the Bengals coach. Bad game manager and he puts up with those jerks on defense. Someone mentioned the Chargers head coach. I personally would not fire him. They have been competitive all year and with a few changes here or there they could rise up just like the dreaded Raiders. Overall the week was a letdown and I worry about teams like the Giants, Seahawks, Titans, Steelers and Raiders ( can't stand them) but the shining light Pats are looking solid and the Pack have a chance. Two oddities regarding the Seahawks. TE Luke Wilson has speed and since they relegated him to the bench I don't know his contract situation but man this guy deserves a chance with some team. The other is Tanner McEvoy another Wisconsin star who played every conceivable position in college outside the line and kicking. Like Luke he sees spot duty as a WR but they throw him a bone once in a while. I agree with Don, Sam Bradford is a limited QB. And without LB Sean Lee the Cowboys are an average team.

I mentioned the chargers coach - he has Philip rivers at his disposal yet still manages to put a mediocre team on the field. He never gave Whalen a shot at WR, brought in scrub no name rbs rather than sign Gerhart or Wegher, has done a terrible job managing the sumo laden oline. The chargers were one of the white friendliest teams not so long ago and I won't blame it all on McCoy but his poor record and the darkening of the chargers roster do run parallel to each other.

Rivers is an enigma I will give you that and he and the O have gotten really sloppy at the end of games. But on average McCoy hasn't been a caste hound. Woodhead was injured ( and he used him a lot last season) and they have been drafting defensive edge guys like Bosa and Emanuel. Losing Weddle was a bad idea though a huge loss. And Hunter Henry might become a solid fixture at TE. I say lets find the next Lance Alworth one of the fastest and greatest pro football WR's of all time. The guy was so spectacular but today of course white kids are told and taught and scolded not to ever run and well the plan worked--they killed off the Lance Alworths of the world. In his place you have a bunch of ******* black wide receivers--Beckham,Cooks and on and on and on ad infinitum.

Not sure what you mean by that. I consider Philip Rivers to be one of the greatest quarterbacks of all time. His production is incredible considering what he's had to work with at receiver and with mostly terrible sumo-dominated o-lines. The Chargers also seem to consistently get hit by injuries to their WRs and RBs. The one constant is Philip Rivers, who has a top-shelf mind for his position much like Peyton Manning did. He's always going to push the ball down the field, so he'll throw some picks, especially given the substandard talent around him, but he often makes brilliant throws look routine. He's deserved a lot better in his career than what he's had to deal with.

Collinsworth and michaels put on a caste brodcast for the ages last night. The play you mentioned with Humphries was a very poorly thrown ball that should of been intercepted however Humphries eye hand coordination saved the day with a spectacular catch. All crissy could do was dry hump al michaels leg as he talked about what a great throw it was (which it wasn't, he threw back to the middle of the field and under threw the ball). Than when Heath made the INT that pretty much sealed the game neither crissy or al made any mention of Heath and talked about anything and everything other than Heath for the following 5 minutes of the game. Last night the agenda was so obvious - it really pissed me off more so than usual.

I caught the end of that game after the Denver/NE game ended. Charger Sumo LT Dunlap was getting beat badly on almost every play. Rivers had very little opportunity to check through his progressions and get a good throw off. Simply awful. It's astonishing professional football coaches put up with that level of OL play or can't recognize that it's the weak link. At the very minimum, put a RB in there to help pick up some of those blocks. Woodhead excelled at that. The GM should go heavy on OL in the 2017 draft and in free agency and get rid of those sumos. Rivers deserves better.

I hope he declines as I've come to appreciate his work on MNF, especially compared to the Crissie-Weird Uncle Al double duty on Sunday and Thursday nights. Several times a game Gruden will say "I have no idea what ____ was doing on that play." It's almost always a clueless affirmative action afflete he's referring to.
