I was reading the comments about Zach Zenner and this just reiterates my opinion about how stupid DWF are. They are attacking not only Zenners skills, but also his academic qualifications. The truth is it is harder to get a science degree at an average school than it is to get a liberal arts degree at an Ivy League school.
http://www.mlive.com/lions/index.ssf/2015/05/detroit_lions_rb_zach_zenner_h.html

What a bunch of morons. Maybe if Zenner were black he would of been given a fair shot at a big name program and done just as well academically. Screw them for putting Zenner down, the kid is obviously very bright, has a good head on his shoulders and has bigger goals in life. However in this society that is so preoccupied with brand names only the pathetic DWFs decide to demean him for the school he went to.

The Lions RB depth is pathetic - Abdullah is a lesser version of Zenner who will probably be a mediocre starter given chance after chance, excuse after excuse. Zenner will probably outperform him in the preseason. Zenner really did himself a favor when he picked the Lions to sign with. Really wishing him a healthy training camp and preseason.

Just realized this was posted in the 2016 draft...try keeping all this stuff in the 2015 thread.

Just a quick list of draft-eligible prospects that should be available for next year's draft. I think this list is 81 players. I won't pretend to be some optimist but it would be nice if 80 white players got drafted in 2016 after last year's debacle. As I watch the preseason I am constantly reminded of how many good white players are in the NFL scratching and fighting to keep or earn a roster spot as the overrepresented and overdraft black players mire in obscurity yet get years to try and fulfill their "upside".

There are quite a few draft eligible white QBs that should be drafted pretty high next year. Perhaps an answer to the NFLs supposed QB crisis? I wasn't able to find any big name draft eligible RBs and WRs are at a minimum as usual. Tight End is an interesting spot - guys like Maxx Williams and Kroft would of probably been drafted a round earlier next year. O-line is full of really good white players - I hope to see most of them get drafted.

On Defense their are quite a few draft eligible guys I hope to see make it. The obvious defensive playmakers are Bosa and Scooby but their are quite a few more impact players as I scoured the list.

Enjoy following these guys this year and hopefully see a majority of them survive the next caste chopping block - the NFL draft and go on to help replenish depth charts with very good white players.

Good list . It'd be awesome to see 80white guys drafted but you're right history tells us that the draft class will be about 25% or less. Pretty consistent unfortunately. Thing is saying these guys are viable prospects isn't that far fetched. They are LEGIT prospects. If only some of our guys were allowed to have unlimited upside.

Jinxed him..

Hill going down for the season again really sucks. It does illustrate the fact that the dual threat qb and that style of play does not lend itself to longevity. If he is healthy by the whole draft charade I think he may be a candidate for a position switch.

As far as other draft eligible qbs week 1 was a mixed bag. Kessler and Goff looked to be in mid season form, Cook struggled with accuracy but limited his mistakes and Hackenberg was destroyed due to bad oline play, play calling, refusal to adjust the game plan and offense to be tailored to his strengths (lack of competent coaching).

Coker also really impressed in his first start. he looks much more dynamic than sims did. He has a great arm, showed good mobility and throwing on the run vs. a good Wisconsin defense. Saban better let him start the whole season as the unquestioned starter just like he did to Blake sims last year.

Good breakdown. also WR Cooper Kupp is a legit NFL prospect!!!

Some random draft thoughts:

I wouldn't be surprised if the Cowboys draft the Arkansas QB Brandon Allen. He has taken a big step in his game and become a quality passer. I was watching some of the Arkansas - A&M game and Jerry Jones was on hand since it was in Cowboys stadium - it just makes too much sense not to happen. The Razorbacks bad start is not due to him.

Cody Kessler looks like a young Drew Brees. I really enjoyed watching him play last night, he makes great decisions, has good feet using them to his advantage in the passing game to let receivers get open, a better than advertised arm and uncanny accuracy.

Jared Goff looks more and more like the top QB if he decides to declare. Connor Cook has been solid - he has a Matt Ryan feel to him.

Casey Martin is a slot WR for Southern Miss - Jimmy Chitwood initially pointed him out and that is how I began following him. He really looks like Welker out there.

Look at this caste double speak from Bucky Brooks regarding Kessler

Cody Kessler, QB, USC: It's easy to dismiss Kessler's gaudy numbers as a starter, but there's no disputing his effectiveness running the Trojans' pro-style offense. Kessler quickly gets the ball out of his hands and into the mitts of a talented cast of playmakers that are capable of doing damage on the perimeter. Given his decisiveness and effectiveness working through his reads, it is apparent Kessler understands all of the reads within the offense and willingly takes the options available based on coverage. Kessler's stat line (19 of 33 for 375 yards and five touchdowns) against Arizona State might not impress at first glance, but the fact that he distributed the ball to seven different receivers is a testament to his willingness to spray the ball all over the field. With Kessler exhibiting sound judgment and solid passing skills in a conference game with huge implications, the scouting community is certainly impressed with his solid skills as a franchise quarterback.

How is throwing 5 tds for almost 400 yards not impressive? Why is it easy to dismiss his numbers as a starter? So much double speak and caste ingrained philosophy in that paragraph.

Blatantly hating on Kessler. Some of these guys might as well include in their analysis "but he is a white guy." Instead they use lines like '"blue collar, hard worker, quicker than fast, not the biggest most athletic, tight hips,no upside."

My favorite was the comment claiming Scooby Wright had a "Beach Build." Big arms and small legs after his 160 tackle 15sack SO. Year! No respect!

The narrative of this past year's draft was the lack of quality players at the QB position. Next year it looks like a total flood of very good white college passers breaking into the NFL.

Jared Goff Cal
Connor Cook Mich St
Christian Hackenberg PSU
Carson Wentz North Dakota St
Cody Kessler USC
Kevin Hogan Stanford
Brandon Doughty WKU
Matt Johnson Bowling Green
Nate Sudfeld Indiana
Mike Bercovicci Arizona St
Jake Coker Alabama
Brandon Allen Arkansas

Schobert leap frogged Nassib and has 9 to Nassib's 8. Both of these guys should be huge risers during the draft process.

Another under the radar pass rusher is Kyle Kragen from Cal - he currently has a 5 sacks.

Nate Meier is another disruptive pass rusher - playing opposite of the underrated Drew Ott.

The first QB taken in this years draft will probably be Paxton Lynch out of Memphis. This kid looks like the real deal. Lynch, Goff, and Cook all look like first rounders. So much for the Cardale Jones hype train. Another black quarterback who will probably be overdrafted (but not in the first unless some team pulls an EJ Manuel type scenario) is Jacoby Drissett out of NC State. However, at least as of right now, for the first time in a while, there really is no black quarterback hype amongst draftnicks.

Northwestern DE Dean Lowry should be invited, but probably won't be...not enough "upside", even though completely dominant at his position.

Agreed at least Lowry and Dan Vitale have accepted invitations to East/West Shrine game!

Brisset sucks - plays in a simplified system and throws a ton of underneath and short stuff. Trayvon Boykin is also not being looked at as a viable NFL prospect. It's refreshing to see all of these white QBs occupy the top spots. Same goes for the tight end position.

Now that Nelson Spruce is the all-time Pac-12 reception leader, I wonder if he'll get a combine invite and drafted, or will he instead get the Conner Vernon treatment?

Nelson Spruce also has the all-time record for receiving touchdowns at the University of Colorado, which has produced its share of NFL wideouts. the scuttlebutt is that Spruce isn't "sudden enough" to get open at the next level ... whatever that means.

after he inevitably posts one of the fastest shuttle times (which measures short area quickness) in the upcoming Draft class, i "wonder" how that will affect how scouts "view" him. of course, we know how that usually works. just ask T.J. Moe, Conner Vernon, Sam McGuffie, etc.

Nelson Spruce reminds me of Mike Hass - the prolific Oregon State WR who won the Biletnikoff trophy a decade ago. I hope his career turns out better than Mike's did because he was royally screwed.

Looks as if there will be more white players drafted in 2016 than were in 2015.
