The 2016 Chicago Bears had a little promise coming into the season but the annual purge diminished pretty much any optimism of them being a team to root for. They start Jay Cutler at QB who has one of the best arms in the game but his onfield demeanor can at times be offputting. The defense still misses Urlacher even though he retired after the 2012 season. John Fox has a long track record as a head coach and has never once been mistaken as a white friendly coach. The dearth of talen on this team is evident as they sputtered through the preseason.

Here are the 12 white players (not including specialists) for the Bears opening day roster:

Quarterbacks
Jay Cutler
Brian Hoyer

TE
Zach Miller
Logan Paulsen

OL
Kyle Long
Josh Sitton
Cody Whitehair
Ted Larsen
Eric Kush

DL
Mitch Unrein

LB
Nick Kwiatkoski

DB
Chris Prosinksi

Practice Squad
QB Matt Barkley
TE Ben Braunecker
WR Daniel Braverman

Braverman should be in the 53, all of their WRs suck aside from Jeffery - Eddie Royal should not be an NFL starting WR.

Bears should start Cutler, Sitton, Larsen, Long, and Unrein. Kwiatkowski and Prosinski are on the defensive two-deep so should get some meaningful playing time.

Cutler may be out for a few weeks. The Bears have looked very bad this season. A very poor, very black team. Hopefully Barkley gets called up from the PS and gets some action while Cutler is out.

John Fox's NFL head coaching career has been a lot like Tom Coughlin's. Coughlin guided the Jacksonville Jaguars to unprecedented success for an expansion team with one of the Whitest rosters in the league. The Jags then started to become blacker and blacker as they became worse and worse. By the time Coughlin signed with the Giants, he wanted no White players other than his QB and a few o-linemen.

Fox took over Carolina, the other 1995 expansion team, in 2002 and the next year they went to the Super Bowl and to the NFL championship game the next year before slowly becoming a bottom feeder. His good teams had players like Jake Delhomme, Ricky Proehl, Brad Hoover, MLB Dan Morgan, and plenty of White linemen. Doing the team write-ups in the mid-2000s, I remember the Panthers ranking among the Whitest teams before inexorably blackening, with Fox keeping that trend going in Denver and now Chicago. After screwing over both Marc Mariani and Daniel Braverman this year I'll root for the Bears to have a miserable season.

Nice mention of the great Dan Morgan, Don, I remember him well. John Fox's Carolina's 2003 Superbowl team also had two white DT's (Shane Burton and Kemp Rasmussen), who were rotational players...

Even after cutting Mariani and putting Braverman on the PS, the Bears still have a decent contingent of white players compared to several ultra-black NFL teams (Raiders, Seahawks, Bills, Giants)...how pathetic is that? At least they have a white QB, a white TE (Zach Miller), a 3/5-whil OL, and play 2 whites on defense.

Barkley has been signed off the practice squad. I would rather see him play than Hoyer.

Here is the opportunity for Barkley to make his move on becoming a NFL QB. Cutler has been hot and cold, and mostly cold the last 2 years. Barkley has to make his move with performance this Sunday
