Notre Dame's Steve Vasturia and Matt Farrell are fun to watch!
It looks like it!! I'm going to have to catch one of the Fighting Irish's games soon! Notre Dame looks like one of the teams this year that will have a majority white rotation, as they start Vasturia, Farrell, and foward Martinas Geben. Off the bench, they feature athletic guard Rex Pflueger and 3 point sniper Matt Ryan.
Davidson is another team to watch this year. I apologize for being late to breaking down some good teams to watch, but this week, I should have time to write-up a few. I got to watch Davidson for a few games this last weekend, and boy, do they look good. They have four white starters. The best one is Peyton Aldridge, whom I've posted about in this thread. He's a do-everything player for Davidson, and with Jack Gibbs (the lone black starter) is the best player on the team. Will Magarity, a forward transfer from Boston College is another of the Wildcat's white starters. He's a very versatile big, who'll only get better over time. Junior guard Rusty Reigel starts as well; he's one of the team's "glue guys" those guys that can do a bit of everything. He can hit the three as well if he gets an open look, but he doesn't shoot much. Freshman Icelandic guard Jon Axel Gudmundsson is the last of the starters. He's a bit raw yet, but he's getting better. He can knock down the three as well. Davidson plays a very uptempo game, and every single player on the court for them can shoot the basketball. When they're on, they are fun to watch.
In regards to Carolina Speed's post about Kennard, he was simply unstoppable against Rhode Island on Sunday. He was so good, that even the ESPN announcers will be saying he'll be hard to keep off the court when the team's three "NBA players" come back. That's about the highest compliment ESPN can give a white guy. I'm glad ESPN is so sure of those three, even though they haven't played one second of college basketball yet. Allen has been dealing with injuries, which have robbed him of a bit of his explosiveness for the time being. I'm hoping he'll be back to full health soon.
BYU looked great again last night. The Cougars feature four white starters, three of which are vital to the team's success. Those are: PG Nick Emery, SG TJ Haws, and forward Eric Mika. Kyle Davis is the fourth white starter, and for BYU to be good, he's going to have to pick up, which is exactly what he did yesterday against St. Louis. Davis had 22 points on 10/13 shooting, and Mika had 20 and 10 as the Cougars destroyed the Billikens 92-62. If you haven't watched BYU yet, I strongly suggest that you do. The Cougars are undefeated, and playing some excellent basketball.
Similarly, if you haven't watched Arizona, I strongly suggest that you do. Lauri Markkanen is an absolute stud. He lead the Wildcats in scoring again last night with 17 points and 10 rebounds. They also have another white starter in Dusan Ristic, which makes them a team to root for.
