I'll start this thread with this : Where are the white American players?! Apparently 8 racist NBA teams don't even have a white American on their roster. Surprisingly sports center provides the article. Comments below on FB are discouraging. A lot of pussy whites saying whites aren't good enough and blacks gloating dey da supreme affletes...

Best players play blah blah blah. Wake up white people! You are being replaced in western society so it's a no Brainer this includes all aspects of life including sports world!

I don't watch the NBA at all. I think it's becoming such a niche sport that is honestly being propped up mostly be it's television deals with BSPN and TNT. With the ratings in the NFL falling as well it wouldn't be a terrible thing to see professional football follow suit. Eventually the networks won't be able to prop up two professional sports leagues.

I won't be watching much NBA this year. Basketball is one of my favorite sports and hands down probably the one I enjoy to play the most. All you need is a ball and a hoop. But I'm sick of the ghetto street ball and there aren't very many white American Stars outside of KLove. I'll be watching NCAA basketball and NHL instead.

Besides all year long all you'll hear NBA wise is LeBron and the Cavs and Curry , Durant and the Warriors.

A team to keep an eye on this year should be "my" hometown team, the Nuggets

They'll be starting 3 Europeans this year who should see significant minutes

1. Danilo Gallinari (Italy). Hoping he can finally stay healthy for a season after years of showing flashes of brilliance only to be hampered by injuries
2. Jusuf Nurkic (Bosnia)
3. Nikola Jokic (Serbia). All NBA First Team last year

They also drafted a Spaniard, Juancho Hernangomez who should see some decent playing time coming off the bench

My 2 local squads appear to be amoung the best to follow. I'll talk about the Knicks another time but I watched some of the Nets tonight and was pleasantly surprised.

Bojan Bogdanovic starts and was the leading scorer for the Nets with 21 points. Off the bench, journeyman Justin Hamilton scored 19 points and added 10 boards. The 7 footer worked on him game overseas and looks legit with 3 point shooting range. A personal fave, former Cavalier (UVA and Cleveland) Joe Harris, seems to have found a good landing spot in BK. Joe scored 16 while adding 4 rebounds, 3 assists, 2 steals and 2 blocks. Great game. Luis Scola also comes off the bench. Jeremy Lin, Brook Lopez and Greveis Vasquez could also be considered caste busters.

Caught a few minutes of the 76ers game last night and point Guard Sergio Rodriguez stood out to me with efficient shooting and passing while taking care of the ball. He finished with 12points and 9 assists. Good game for the Spainard, Euros have been dominating so far. I saw Jonas Valancunias dropped32pts and 11rebounds for the Raptors!

Yes it is true the number of white players in the NBA has DRAMATICALLY dwindled down. Even ESPN has brought the subject up. Even though it makes no difference to me where the white players are from it is worth pointing out white American players have virtually disappeared off the radar. Overall white players compose of less than 20% of the league or maybe even less than 10% I'm not sure on the number. Factor in that many of these white players are benchwarmers or scrubs and the low number is even more astounding. As the season just started one thing is blindingly apparent. There are no budding white superstars on the near horizon. There are a few young international players who could blossom over time but I do wonder where this trend is heading? It is not surprising that white American players are scarce. Just look up the top 40 high school basketball prospects from different classes in the past several years and if you are lucky there might be one white player listed in the top 30 range. The class of 2017 has no white players listed in the top 60!!!!!( This barren trend is happening in football too when it comes to wide receivers). Most all of the white players today are backseat passengers. Only currently injured Gordon Hayward of the Jazz represents a player who might be the most important of a team.
Last night media hero Russell Westbrook poured in 51 points in an overtime affair. He also took 44 shots---trivia question when was the last time a white NBA player hoisted up over 40 shots in a game? So far for me the NFL has been more depressing than usual and the NBA looks to be following suit. This season could truly turn into a white massacre where all of the excitement and buzz and daily highlights come from only black players as the white scrubs begin to represent nothing much more than glorified towel boys. And if that happens will it turn off enough white fans for the league or the media to notice?
The season just got started so I do not want to start the burial just yet but I do have grave concerns about the NBA today and where it is heading as we go forward for the next several years.

Ok, just did a quick count, and came up with 33 white starters, and that includes the Lopez bros as white. That number is pretty close to the last few years. Overall white players in the game came in at 105, counting Adams, Lopez bros, Asik (who looks real European), Caspi as white. Didn't count Fournier as white . That number of 105 is pretty close to recent years, but up from the real low of 90 reached about 5 years ago.

Stop the press I will be damned there is an ESPN highlight of a white NBA player and a young one to boot. Oh wait a minute it isn't a highlight after all. It was of those blooper things yes I guess this was worthy of their attention as Sam Dekker ( at least he is playing a little) tripped and stumbled and had the ball bounce off his nose--hah hah hah oh it is sooooooo funny. Well it might have been if white players were part of the NBA fabric but it is more symbolic than anything that a white player gets repeat highlights for all the wrong reasons. I know there are white players in the league and guys like Dragic are performing reasonably well and it is too early to say it is a complete white out but that said I am not kidding about that ESPN highlights (and NBA network too) being exclusively black with all the wows and drooling and lovemaking of the running commentary. Do you think a white NBA player will ever grace the cover of SI ever again? I suppose anything is possible but right now in the current bubble it might never happen ever again. Nothing like dying a slow painful death. Sports --I am beginning to truly hate sports.

ESPN Fantasy Projection actually states the truth about the Suns' and Alex Len:

ESPN Fantasy Projection: Tyson Chadler and P.J. Tucker aren't exactly elite NBA players, yet the Suns elected to play them more than 55 minutes per game last season as opposed to extending Len and that's a concern. On a per minute basis, Len wasn't bad and even showed some positive signs (13.7 points and 11.2 rebounds in March), but by drafting Dragan Bender, Phoenix isn't exactly sending signals that they are sold long-term on Len.

Yeah. Good to see Love averaging over 20 again. (22.0/game). He hasn't averaged 20 since he went to Cleveland. As you said, hopefully others will follow.

Actually, it was just 2 short years ago that I posted here that if you take away the QB stats in the NFL, there were more white NBA players in the top 20 major NBA statisistics than in the top 20 NFL stats. An amazing accomplishment for white players considering the NBA is 85% black!
Now, however, in just 2 short years it has changed significantly. Mostly because of injuries, there's only one white player in the top 20 in scoring, Love (22.0 ppg) and only 5 white players, none of them american born, in the top 20 in rebounding. The numbers have fallen fast, but as I said mostly because of injuries and some to age.
Gordon Hayward and Chandler Parsons are injured and would be in the top 20 scoring and should be by year's end. Age and injury seems to be catching up with David Lee, although he's not that old. Nowitzki also, is starting to fade with injury and age. With that said, I had a little time and looked up last nights stats. It was a little better than I thought it would be:

Yes it will be nice to see both Parsons and Hayward back on the court. Hayward will take a while but I like the way he has developed into a really good all around player. Smooth athlete too. Parsons is a good athlete too but has been hampered my nagging injuries along the way. I will root for Parsons but he made what I call unacceptable comments when he simply said recently" white players are not as athletic as black players". Listen ******* that kind of talk DOES NOT CUT IT ANYMORE!! There are so many things bad that happen when that philosophy becomes acceptable that it cuts off potential white athletes from performing at a high level. Perfect example are schools with mixed races. Most of the time the whites will be delegated away from the speed/skill positions and the racial landscape becomes fixed as we move through college and the pros. And we know the end result of that--for example the white cornerback went the way of Atlantis! I do see burgeoning signs of young white athletes who are proud of their athletic ability and speed. This is a welcome new trend. This optimistic philosophy is what is so badly needed as players move up the ranks. Instead of hiding in the shadows or accepting their racial placements early on white athletes need to push their way forward and say to a coach look I do not want to be a kicker or a back up towel boy to the black (get all the glory) guys on the team. I want to GO DEEP coach so give me a friggen chance. Grow up and be a man Parsons instead of acting like a child. Now go out there and kick some ass.

I couldn't agree more. However, in order to compete, white parents and white kids have to get off their A$$'$ and do something about it! I have said this on CF until some are tired of me, but I raised two all-state athlete sons. One in wrestling and one in football,(RB) no less. It took a lot of practice and work to get there. Also, you have to ultimately go out and perform yourself. My youngest son was pretty big and fast and quick and he proved it! Unfortunately 2 ACL tears sidetracked his career!

Had a little time, so I put the shooting stats in there to show how well these players shoot with very little attempts. Every player that scored in double digits shot 50% or better with the exception of Gallinari. I haven't studied it extensively, but I would think that their counterparts are getting at a minimum of 20 shots per game! No one on this list got more than 16 attempts.

In a match up earlier today, New York against Utah, Gordon Hayward opens the season with 28 points/5 rebounds and he didn't shoot all that well from the floor, 6/17. A little rusty, however he hit 14/14 from the line, The Knicks Porzingis another great performance, scoring 28 points, 10/18 and grabbing 8 boards! At only 21 years old, Porzingis looks poised to be a superstar!
