The Eagles mostly went with five Whites on defense in the second quarter against the Colts (their second stringers), including an all-White d-line at times. And it was all Whites on the o-line, along with Cooper, Maehl and a couple of White tight ends seeing the field as well.
The Eagles are slotted to have 10 white starters and a league-high
25 whites on the 53-man roster. Here is the breakdown...
OFFENSE (7/8 White Players):
QB – Bradford
TE- Celek/Ertz
WR – Cooper
OL - Barbre, Kelce, Gardner, Johnson
Their offensive reserves will likely consist of Barkley/Tebow, Maehl, and an all -white OL (Tobin, Molk, Moffitt, and Kelly).
CAPTION: Budding Superstar TE, Zach Ertz
DEFESNE (2 White Players):
OLB – Barwin
MLB - Alonso
As Don alluded to, their future on defense is surely brighter than any other NFL squad. Their reserve defense contains 6 white players (Hart, Bair, Allen, Braman, Maragos, and Prosinksi), all of whom are likely to make the team this year. It would’ve been 7, had Travis Long not landed on IR.
CAPTION: Connor Barwin Poised for Big Season
SPECIAL TEAMS (3 White Players):
P – Jones
PK – Parkey
LS – Dorenbos
The white Eagles players that are in danger of missing the 53-man roster are: QB’s Tebow and Barkley, WR’s Maehl and Kinne, TE’s Gleichert and Tukes, and several OL (Vandervelde, Andrews, and Graf).
Needless to say, we should all be rooting for this squad to go deep into the playoffs in 2015-2016.
