I think last year Harper was voted the most overrated player in MLB. Yes he's only 22 and right now he's playing like the best player in MLB.

.....and maybe Trout is finally out of a month long drought, he just hit a Grand Slam. His 37th HR of the season and his 3rd in the last week I believe.
By advanced metrics, Harper is the best player in baseball this season and it's not even particularly close. Harper's WAR (wins above replacement level), which factors in hitting, defense and base running, sits at 9.7. The next closest players are Trout (8.2), Donaldson (8.2) and Goldschmidt (7.7). Even with the Nats missing the playoffs this year, I'd imagine they would have to give the MVP award to Bryce. How could they not?

In a positive development, the Dodgers have gone from one of the darkest teams to one of the Whitest. Just last year, I remember times when they would start all negroes and hispanics with the lone whitey being catcher A.J. Ellis. Fast forward to tonight and the lineup is all White with the exception of sort-of White Mexican Adrian Gonzalez. The major reasons for this have been the acquisition of Chase Utley. The promotion of future star SS Corey Seager. The emergence of Justin Turner and some fortuitous injuries to non-Whites.

Houston's Dallas Keuchel beat the LA Angels last night and in doing so won his 18th game of the season and has went 14-0 at home and has a 1.47 ERA at home.

Keuchel should be in the conversation for the AL's Cy Young Award, however, most are pushing for David Price to win.

Keuchel leads the league in wins, (18), innings pitched, 219, and shut outs, 2. He is second in ERA., 2.51, and 5th in K's, 203.

Arrieta became the 1st 20 game winner in the Majors. He has been simply amazing this season. I like Kershaw, Bum and Grienke, but I hope Arrieta wins the Cy Young.

Yes, that 20th win for Arrieta should have cemented his well deserved Cy Young! I think there's only one other possibility at this point,(Greinke), but I don't think he's as deserving as Jake.

Greinke's ERA is lower, but it's close, 1.65 to Arrieta's 1.85, but Arrieta has more K's, inning's pitched, complete games, and shutouts, and the no-hitter!

Hopefully, it's a clean sweep for all four top awards:

NL Cy Young: Arrieta
AL Cy Young: Dallas Kuechel

NL MVP: Bryce Harper
AL MVP: Josh Donaldson/Mike Trout

Also, the Cubs third baseman, Kris Bryant set a Cubs rookie record for homeruns. The record was previously held by Billy Williams at 25. Bryant hit his 26th homerun the same night Arrieta won his 20th game breaking the Cubs rookie record!

Yep! This team's core is young. The call-ups of their young prospects such as Bryant and Schwarber has really paid off!

Great match-up tonight for ya'll on the west coast as LA's Clayton Kershaw 15-7,2.25 ERA, and 281 SO goes up against SF's Madison Bumgarner, 18-8, 2.88 ERA, and 228 SO. I believe Bumgarner has bested Kershaw twice this season head to head and has also hit a HR on Kershaw, however, Kershaw has been on his game lately and Bumgarner seems to be always pretty steady.

I hate that one of these guys has to win and one has to lose, because I think one or both can become a 300 game winner someday and every win is important in getting to 300!

Anyway, I will probably catch the first few innings, but I doubt I'll be up for the finish approximately at 1 A.M. eastern time.

Kershaw and the Dodgers beat the Giants 8-0 as Kershaw throws a 1 hitter and strikes out 13!

Kershaw is now 16-7 as Bumgarner falls to 18-9.

Kershaw gets career victory number 114 at age 27, while Bumgarner stays at victory number 85 at age 25.

Mike Trout not giving up easy on repeating as AL MVP! He is on a tear. He's 3/3 tonight and hit his 41st HR tying Josh Donaldson. Donaldson went 2/4 and RBI and run scored. It'll be a shame for the one who doesn't win it. Both have had great seasons. The only thing going against Trout is his dismal August. If he would have just hit 3 or 4 HR's in August instead of just 1 it would be over.

Arguments can be made for both candidates. Trout plays in a non-hitters ball park, but Donaldson has been there all year and his numbers are a little better. Also, Toronto is a legit contender and has clinched their division. The Angels are struggling to get into the post-season.

The best thing about this argument is that they are both great white ball players and one them will be the AL MVP!

The NL MVP is a foregone conclusion, it's Bryce Harper!

As with the PGA, the MLB season has been a joy to follow.

.....and Chris Davis launches 2 HR's tonight and now leads MLB with 45!

Tim Hudson, the current MLB leader in wins, has retired after making his final start the other day. He had a stalwart career, going 222-133 for an excellent win percentage of .625.

Yep! Hudson was a good one. That leaves Mark Buehrle as the active white wins leader at 213. At age 36 he may have a few more years left in him to get to 250. After that John Lackey and Barry Zito at 165 at ages 36 and 37 who may not get to 200.

The only 2 that may get to 250 or maybe 300 are Kershaw and Bumgarner.

Haven't paid much attention to baseball this year but it seems like it was a great year for our players. I still see blacks over hyped in the promos including the always present Ortiz in the Red Sox promos.

Washington Nationals Max Scherzer becomes the first pitcher since Nolan Ryan in 1973 to throw 2 no-hitters in the same season.

It looks like Donaldson and Trout will battle it out for AL MVP, while Harper will be the hands down winner for the NL.

Cubs vs Pirates Wednesday Night. Arrieta vs Cole. Should be another dominating performance by Arrieta. He has had the Pirates number all season.
Hopefully the Cubs can go home with a win vs that despicable Pirates team.

Yep, I'll be watching and pulling hard for the Cubs with Arrieta, Rizzo, Bryant and Co. I believe the Cubs are one of the more whiter teams along with St. Louis. Also, it's too bad if the Cubs win, they have to play St. Louis. so, one will definitely not make it.

On a side note, Arrieta had the lowest second half ERA in MLB history, .75! Kris Bryant has the best selling MLB jersey!

In the AL I believe it's the Kansas City Royals who are the whitest, but I may be wrong. Hard to pull against Donaldson's Blue Jays.

Also, too bad that the two best players, (Trout and Harper), in MLB won't participating in the post-season. CRAP!

Dallas Keuchel and the Houston Astros defeat the Yankees, 3-0 in the AL wild card game to advance to play the Kansas City Royals.

Colby Rasmus homered for Houston.

Chicago and Pittsburgh tonight. Arrieta 22-6, vs. Cole 19-8.

Is this the year the Cubs break the curse?! They've looked good tonight. Schwarber had a 2run blast out of PNC Park and Arietta has 11ks and a shutout going into the 9th. From caste perspective Chicago head and shoulders above Pittsburgh.

I didn't even know Lloyd McClendon was managing again until I read he was fired by Seattle after two seasons. I figured his stint as the manager of the Pirates was enough to dissuade any other organizations from hiring him.

With McClendon's firing, MLB doesn't have a single black manager. I wonder how long it's been since that was the case. And I wonder how long it'll be before the usual suspects start raising a stink about it.
