Here are your white Spartans starting this year in East Lansing. Michigan State has two great NFL prospects on their team in QB Connor Cook, who could go Top 5 next year, and TE Josiah Price, one of the best returning TE's in the Big 10. On defense, Riley Bullough will be a stud just like his brother. These guys will make Michigan State a watchable team this year. Since 2005, the Spartans have had 7, 5, 7, 10, 10, 10, 12, 8, 9, and 8 white starters. Look for 8 again this year. White backups to look for: QB Tyler O'Connor, FB David Fennell, WR(F) Matt Macksood, LG Benny McGowan, DT David Beedle, MLB Jon Reschke, SAM Chris Frey, and SS Matt Morrissey. It looks like a dark team on the horizon within a couple of years. It appears that success has made Dantonio somewhat of a caste stooge, as he has a couple QBs of limitless upside waiting to take over. With Harbaugh at Michigan, if they don't change it around pretty soon, you'll see Michigan start taking over again.

Offense
QB - Connor Cook
FB - Trevon Pendleton
TE - Josiah Price
LT - Jack Conklin
LG - Brian Allen
C - Jack Allen
RT - Kodi Kieler

Defense
MLB - Riley Bullough
SLB - Chris Frey

Thanks for the write up JL. Screw dantonio for selling out and all of the sudden recruiting black quarterbacks when all of his success was based upon white qbs. Just another caste stooge like you said.

Jack Conklin is a big time left Tackle who is in the first round of mock drafts i have seen around. Hopefully he can have a good season, need to stop the advance of sumo tackles being drafted high

Nice list. They are all beasts! Of course come draft season they are all going to be labeled as right tackles or guards

I look forward to them all dominating. The Big Ten is probably the most bearable of the major conferences to watch and they do churn out white o-linemen pretty consistently.

Looks like another white linebacker may become starter due to an injury to black LB Davis, who is out for the year. Frey and Reschke are possible replacements.

You're right! It looks like Frey will start, with Reschke coming in to play a lot.

Conklin suffered a knee injury but it does not appear to be season ending which is good news. He projects to be a 1st round pick and is one of the best olinemen in the country.

Due to injuries and strong play, true Freshman, Grayson Miller, is now a starter at Safety:

"I was impressed with how Grayson Miller and Khari Willis played as true freshmen in that environment," Spartans coach Mark Dantonio said on Tuesday. "So they are only going to continue to get more accustomed and feel better about -- not as much anxiety, and they are very level-headed."He gained a little more than that, as Dantonio remembered this week.

...

"After he long jumped 10-6 and verticaled 37 inches and ran two 4.4s, and then went outside and caught the ball and did the drills, and he was 6-2 and a half, 205, we thought, maybe we just ought to offer him a scholarship," Dantonio said.

Miller accepted the scholarship soon after. But he wasn't able to showcase himself as a Michigan State commit in his senior year.

Awesome news. With his size and measurables he's more athletic and bigger than half of NFLs starting safeties!

Congrats to Michigan St on their Big Ten championship..

I've been on the Sparty bandwagon for a couple seasons now. Dantonio seems to run a fair-minded program, and his teams are solid in big games.
Classic comeback against Michigan this season, a win over (then #1) Ohio State.. beating a resurgent Iowa program (who I believe are better than #1 seeded Clemson, but..).

They have two hurdles left; looking forward to watching 'em. In a contemporary sports paradigm where I have a lot of fan' grievances, following Michigan St has basically been a rare pleasure. :clap2:
