Since 2005, KU has started 10,9,9,12,11,10,7,9,5 and 4 Looks like there will be only 4 again this year. The 6-22 Charlie Weis era ended midway through last year. 1st year coach David Beaty from Texas Tech takes the reigns.

Not much, if anything, to watch on this team.

Offense
Jordan Shelley-Smith - LT
Jacob Bragg - LG
Joe Gibson - C
Ben Johnson - TE

In a related note, 2014 starting Linebacker Jake Love retired from football over the summer citing safety concerns:

Pretty astounding slide since the Mangino era.

Since this team is full of blacks wouldn't dwf logic be that they should be the best team in the big 12? Black qb, black rb, black wrs and a coal black defense - how could they be so bad with so many affletes on the team?

This is another team that could benefit from recruiting so many of the overlooked white players who get shafted annually by the caste system.

Mangino was very White-friendly, usually starting at least 11...and they excelled. I remember when one of his Whitest teams thumped a coal-strewn and heavily-favored Virginia Tech team in the Orange Bowl, although I wasn't surprised in the least. A very-efficiently run and effective Offense with a tough-nosed Defense.

Then, when he was fired for "mistreating players", they brought in Gill and he darkened it up like midnight...and they've sucked ever since. Same with the new coach who's passed on a few 3-star White home-grown defensive players the last few years, ones that Mangino would always snag. It's insanity...doing the same thing over and over but expecting a different result.

Insanity is right. Virtually all of the 5A and 6A powerhouse HS teams in Kansas are white-dominated, so say nothing of the smaller schools that are ALL white. But Kansas coaches and scouts just cherry-pick black players who aren't even close to being the best players on their HS teams. I would normally blame the scouting services, but you would have to be deaf dumb and blind to miss what happens every Friday night in Kansas and western Missouri. White players dominate and are outstanding.

I wonder if any of the Kansas fans remember their 2007/2008 team that went 11-1 and won the Orange Bowl. Todd Reesing, Jake Sharp, Kerry Meier...I don't remember their defense, but I imagine there were a few more pale faces from the Midwest.

How many White starters does South Dakota State have? And aren't they Div 1?

I believe they have upwards of 14 or so. They have a white qb rb and wr. They're D1 FCS .

They have a bit more than 14... I just looked, and they have 20 out of 22 white starters!!! The only black starters are the TE or Slot WR on offense and their RCB. LCB Jimmie Forsythe has been starting for a couple years now, and he's been a beast!!

SDSU is by no means a bad team. I believe they are Top 15 in the FCS, and are a perennial playoff team. With North Dakota State doing so good, SDSU can often be overlooked, but the Jacks have given NDSU a run for their money in the two times they met last year. I actually think that South Dakota State were betting favorites over Kansas last weekend.

Awesome so 20/22 white starters beat Kansas who start a measley 4? Point being Kansas ignores regional talent and sucks as a result of this. Go Jackrabbits!

Well color me shocked! A putrid 0-12 campaign for the Rock Chalk Blackhawks who featured a few token white O-Linemen and a TE
The other FBS school to go winless was UCF who also featured only 4 whites

Yup, including a loss to the almost all-White South Dakota State at home.

So, you would think that perhaps they might modify their recruiting strategy? Nope. Just look at their 2016 class. Of the twelve they current have in that class, only two are White...both OL. They're in for long years ahead.

Of course, they could do the unthinkable and just get some of the players from the Kansas High School championship teams. Or the Missouri High School championship teams. ALL of the teams that won in BOTH states were almost 100% white. Here are just a couple of pictures of the celebrating teams that won in Kansas. These are the 6A and 5A winners, the big schools that the scouts "say" that they look to for talent.

5A winner Mill Valley. A sea of overachieving lunch pail-carrying players.

6A winner Derby. Where is all of the upsided talent??
