They just signed Frank Gore as well. The "experts" are already saying this free agency class is tapped out in terms of depth. Plenty of blue collar hard workers out there still but They're signed last resort..

I am holding out a sliver of hope that Kelly somehow drafts Varga or Zenner in the mid rounds. Both of those guys are more athletic than Chris Polk. Frank Gore is a straight forward power runner whose best days are behind him.

Mark Sanchez resigns with the eagles. I reckon thats a good sign for Foles as Sanchez will be his back up can't see them signing him and possibly chasing Mariota aswell in the draft.

Suh's deal is reported to be for $114 million, with $60 million guaranteed. J.J. Watt was signed for $100 million last year. What the players are paid goes up every year, but that's just obscene.

Suh's production at DT isn't even as good as that of Kyle Williams, but somehow I don't think Kyle will be making $16 million per at any point in his career (just as I don't expect more Whites to be recruited out of high school to play tackle). In fact, Suh's best year was his rookie year back in 2010; hopefully he'll be a major waste of money for the Dolphins.

Rumor is chip is trading his entire draft for Mariotta and wants sanchez as his backup or bridge qb. Foles is rumored to be trade bait to possibly buffalo. Philly dwfs whining about the losses of maclin and mccoy. Good chance for the team to get whiter. Maybe Amendola, welker or hartline to join cooper and afleet jordan mathews.

I hope Kelly realizes that Foles is a very good starting QB and that it is hard to find a QB with his talent at the NFL level especially after seeing Sanchez show his true colors as a turn over machine last year.

I agree with the sentiment. Thanks to his relative young age and extensive gametime experience (via Rex Ryan's obscure cuckold foot fetish, a combo I'd never before thought possible to exist in the human psyche), Sanchez will have a sweet $3mill+/year clipboard gig for the next five years or so, where he can teach up-and-coming 'hispanic' quarterbacks how to parlay race into contract negotiations (just kidding, there's a hooknosed litigator for that).

NYC sports radio, which I occasionally delve into with the same curiosity with which i regard the neocon AM-frequency pulpits, suggests that Philly might send Foles and a pick to the NY Jets if Mariota is still there at #6. It seems like insanity to us all here at Caste Football, trading a wildly successful then-rookie and currently established prolific leader with upside (the "fake" white upside) for a crapshoot on the world's first Poly quarterback who runs fast in a straight line and throws, throws, throws those dinks into his spread.

I really hope this doesn't happen, since Chip Kelly and his super-White roster will lose all their steam here with this fanbase. Honestly, I'd have a hard time rooting for a roster of 50+ whites lead an asterisk quarterback to a Sunday Night Success story.

There are rumblings going on that the 49ers are entertaining offers for Craepernick and one of the teams that might be interested are the Eagles :mmph: along with the Bears

Apparently Balke the SF GM has said they are not interested in a trade and denounced the runours as bogsus. God i hope they are right could not think of anything worse than Craepernick at the Eagles. Bears are a bit of a joke and don't have a great deal to shout about from a caste perspective so more fool them if they replace the I have to say under achieving Cutler with an even worse Craepernick.

I would hope that Chip Kelly who seems a fair and clever guy realises what he has with Foles which is a great quarterback with brilliant intangibles. Not worth taking the risk with another quarterback even Mariota who i think could be ok in the NFL when you have the proven long term answer staring you in the face on your own roster.

Oh dear o dear Hudson to the Raiders for 5 years for 44.5 million. Are they having a laugh they replace one the best young centres in the league in Stefan Wisnieswki with Hudson who even on caste sites like walter football say is the wrong move. Some franchises never learn i wonder why some are always poor when they make these appalling player decisions!!

This is great news for Chris Borland if it happens. As fantastic as he was last season as a rookie, Borland was still slated to be a benchwarmer if both Willis and Bowman are healthy this year.

Cobb's signing is frustrating but Abbrederis and Janis will both make the team. Jared A. is an incredible athlete as we all know. I don't know if anyone saw this last year but during the Michigan State - Wisconsin game when some obscure white wr from MS caught a hail mary pass guess who was playing centerfield for the defensive backs? Of course it was J. Abbrederis. I remember seeing a photo of him leaping up in the air to break up the pass and the kid easily has a 40 inch vertical. If he stays healthy both Abbrederis and Janis will have productive seasons this year.

I can understand the disappointment at the Cobb signing, but I feel like it's balanced out by Maclin leaving the Eagles. Now Riley Cooper needs to really step up and have a big year. The Eagles are definitely the most interesting team this offseason with their flurry of moves. I really don't know what direction they will go at quarterback and in the draft. They could either be CF's NFC darling or an annoying quotabacked squad. Time will tell.

As for free agency, it's the same disturbing trend that we see year after year. Big money thrown at over-hyped black players. Many who will be cut or have these contracts renegotiated in a year or 2 for being underwhelming. It's very predictable yet the trend never changes. White player are seen as 2nd tier (as a poster astutely noted) and even with the rate of black busts they are still virtually invisible on the early days of FA signings. The bad teams like Oakland, Jacksonville, Tampa, etc have money but have to overpay for mediocre blacks. Rodney Hudson getting the most money for a center being an example. The silver lining is that these coal franchises stay in the cellar.

Lastly, Maclin is rumored to be getting close to 11 mil per season from KC. That is a joke that he is getting more than Jordy Nelson or even Antonio Brown or Randall Cobb. He'll likely be a disappointment for the Chiefs.

Here's a prime example:

5812.jpg

Jaguars agreed to terms with OT Jermey Parnell on a five-year, $32 million contract.

Parnell entered the league as a Saints UDFA in 2009 with no position. He bounced around practice squads before finding a home in Dallas as a tackle and made his first NFL start in 2012. Parnell has started just six more games since then, splitting time with Doug Free at Dallas' right tackle spot last season. It's a risky signing by the cap-rich Jags and likely a case of them overpaying to land their man. Parnell, entering his age-29 season, was our No. 8 free agent tackle available. The Cowboys re-signed Free for three years and $15 million.

:der::crazy:

Notice how the superior White player gets less years and money.

Pernell McPhee 40 million over five years what a joke, seriously how can you give this man 40 million over five years. Chigago Bears what are you thinking!

92 tackles and 17 sacks over his first four years.

Kroy Biermann (who is also a free agent this year) over his first four years

143 tackles and 12.5 sacks

Signed a contract for 3 years 9 million in 2012. No comparision if looking at stats why McPhee should be being paid that kind of money. Obviously McPhee's "upside" is huge lol!

I agree with Free Thinker about Cobb staying with GB being balanced by Maclin leaving Philadelphia.

Barring the draft, trades, or free agents, Riley Cooper will join Jordy Nelson (Eric Decker is now the #2 for the Jets) as the only other white WR to be a clear-cut #1 outside on their squad. Jordan Matthews showed some real ability for the Eagles in 2014, which could take some pressure off of Cooper (who is somewhat inconsistent and has had some bad drops) for 2015. If Cooper doesn’t achieve his 1[SUP]st[/SUP] 1,000-yard season in 2015, he may never do it. We all know he has the ability, especially for making leaping catches and burning CB deep on go routes...

The Eagles may sign Andre Johnson, who is to be released today by the Texans. Or they'll sign another receiver or take one with an early pick.

I'm not nearly as optimistic that Maclin leaving balances out the Cobb signing. I'm hoping that Cooper retains his starting position, but he didn't do himself any favors with his play last year. If he's still Philly's number two wideout I'll be happy, and of course he does have the talent to be a star, as he showed for a handful of games in 2013.

In more minor news:

Carolina resigns WR Brenton Bersin.

Houston resigns Ryan Mallet after signing Brian Hoyer. They will have Mallet, Hoyer and Savage competing for the starting job. Hopefully someone will really excel and emerge as an above average starter.

Disgusting sumos like Parnell,Hudson, and Franklin all received multy year deal in 30plus mil range. Over paying for these bums by about 70percent!

Thanks for the updates. I cannot believe the contracts that have been signed by some of these black players today, its insane. Who the hell are Parnell and McPhee. Didnt the bears overpay for a pass rusher last year who tore his acl celebrating a sack?

In consecutive years the raiders let their best oline man leave. Wisniewski is a solid player and should garner a good deal.

Hoyer and Mallet back with the Texans is a good thing. I am intrigued by savage as the next Obrien developmental project as Hoyer once was. I also have a feeling he is eyeing Hackenberg next year.

Precisely what a waste of money, some franchises will never learn, its the same ones that do it like the Raiders, Bears, Jaguars, Dolphins etc. WHo would you rather have Free and Biermann or Parnell and McPhee. What a joke, absolutely ridiculous money being paid out. When our alleged second tier guys go int eh days ahead we will see who gets the better value for money!

Looks like Justin smith is retiring. One of the most
underrated defensive linemen of this era.

The most hated free agent signing in Patriot history, Danny Amendola, was the only reason that New England defeated the Ravens in the Divisional Round of the playoffs and a good case could be made that they wouldn’t have won the Superbowl without his contributions. Nevertheless, the rumors of Amendola’s impending release (which have been swirling since last off-season) don’t make any sense. If he costs too much, why not just restructure his deal to better suit his role as the #3 WR? Various articles suggesting he’ll be released…

Naturally, I hope he stays with the Patriots, especially given his increased use down the stretch and into the playoffs. Former second round pick, Aaron Dobson, flashed some talent as a rookie, but really fell out of favor last season. Former fourth round bust, Josh Boyce, was re-signed late last season, but never played.

In other Patriot news, there are several other white players that are free agents, such as FB James Develin, OL Dan Connolly, and reserve LB, Chris White. I haven't heard any news about Develin or White. Connolly has been a great player, but is plagued with head injury problems. He could be replaced by younger guys in the form of Jordan Devey or Josh Kline.
