As I mentioned, I won't be able to do as many as I have been doing, but I'll still do Nebraska, Northwestern, Purdue, Army, Washington, Maryland, Michigan State, Texas San Antonio, Central Michigan, and Illinois. If some time opens up for me, I'll definitely add some more.

I assigned JL and Vanilla_Sky the teams they wanted as well as took some teams for myself. I also assigned Michigan to Phall, Wisconsin to Celticdb15 and Stanford to Twenty-two. Those three posters have done a great job in the past with those three teams. Phall, Celtic, Twenty-two - let me know if you do not want to do these write-ups.

Twenty-two's write up of Stanford last year is a perfect example of the write-up format. Granted we won't have the time to get into all the detail for all the teams but the basic format is perfect. The most important things to capture are the historical data of white starter and the 1st team depth chart. Listing other players on the depth chart is good info as well.

Since 05' Stanford has started 11, 14, 14, 14, 15, 14,13, 9, 9 white players. This season they look to start 12.

Ranked #6 in the Pre Season Stanford will be led by QB Kevin Hogan who threw for 2,630 yds/20 TD's & rushed for 355 yds/2 TD's last season. WR Devin Cajuste 6'-4" 228 had 5 TD's last season. On defense Henry Anderson looks to be a NFL 1st Round Pick. ILB- AJ Tarpley is the leading returning tackler.

Non starters expected to contribute on offense WR Jordan Pratt; WR-Jeff Trojan... Surprised WR Conner Crane still has yet to make a move on the depth chart. FB-Daniel Marx; QB Evan Crower; QB Ryan Burns

Also all eyes will be on highly recruited Freshman Tailback Christian McCaffrey(6-0 197 4.4) who played in the 2014 US Army All Star Game(141 career TD's)..."he has great burst through the line and the top end speed to hit the home run from anywhere on the field. He combines great balance and vision and can make cuts while maintaining high end speed. He shows great hands out of the backfield as well" -Greg Biggins/Scout.com

Starter DT-David Parry looked to be mixed? Tough call...like Tyler Gaffney it's close or that number could change.

*OFFENSE*
QB-Kevin Hogan
FB-Lee Ward
WR-Devon Cajuste
TE-Austin Hooper
C-Graham Shuler
RG-Johnny Caspers
RT-Kyle Murphy

*DEFENSE*
DE-Henry Anderson
DE-Blake Leuters(in a battle for position)
OLB-Kevin Anderson
ILB-AJ Tarpley
ILB-Blake Martinez

2nd Team Defense..ex QB turned FS-Dallas Lloyd (jr. 6'-3" 212) in the mold of John Lynch? could become starter; SS-Zach Hoffpauir (jr.)OLB-Mike Tyler; ILB-Joe Hemshoot

Several publications differ on their depth charts

Thanks! I look forward to writing up a CF entry for Michigan football every year :)

I will gladly add Arizona (the former Michigan coach, Rodriguez' team), as well as Utah, UNLV, BYU, and Indiana for the time being. I'll try to add my best as far as pro-white insight to the coaching staffs and direction of roster compositions.

While I appreciate the football fervor... ;)
When should we post these threads? Freshmen won't arrive for at least a couple of months, let alone unseat anyone on the two-deep.

Phall, I'll go ahead and sign you up for the other teams you mentioned as well. As far as when to start posting the team info, that is totally up to you. We typically try to get the ball rolling in terms of organizing the write-ups around this time of year. The college football preview magazines are usually released in the next few weeks so I would say the write-ups begin appearing in mid-june.

The previews are definitely a time consuming undertaking and it is usually a core group of members doing most of the write ups for 120 or so FBS teams. Granted there will be changes between the writeups we do and what happens between fall camp and the beginning of the regular season in terms of roster depth charts, attrition, transfers and the caste system of course. Our members do a great job updating threads as the season goes along though. The previews just lay a solid foundation to give an idea of the landscape of college football in terms of racial makeup. Sorry for the long winded response!

I am looking forward to your Michigan write up and really appreciate you volunteering for additional teams. Just curious, are you a Michigan alum? Your perspective and knowledge of the program provides insight on UM that the casual fan would not typically have.

Thanks, and yes I am. If I didn't have that rooting interest, I probably would have given up following the sport by now. Thankfully, Michigan isn't too egregious in its team composition, even though there is always room for improvement.

The team itself is easy to follow thanks to the mgoblog website, which always keeps detailed breakdowns of the roster and projected playing time. Although the site is explicitly "non-political", most of the writers and commenters fall into typical stinky liberal tropes despite being smart nerds. I've been banned a couple of times from that community; now I prefer to share my Michigan takes here, where they are appreciated :)

Hey Leonardfan! I'll do some is there a time when the initial depth charts come out? Do you want me to do some SEC ones, don't mind doing the unpopular ones lol. I'll do Alabama, Texas A&M, LSU, AUburn and Florida.

Assigned Phall and Woody39 their requested teams. Pretty encouraging participation so far with members signing up for at least 5 teams each.

Purdue, Indiana and northwestern are spoken for but the other teams are all yours. I'm sure me and you will be knocking out some MAC teams together in August as the season approaches lol.

Taking notes

Got a little notebook for school here on the college previews.. Probably been mentioned but NC State WR Bo Hines transferred to Yale and can play this season. This is either a good thing or a bad thing time will tell.

I'll update the list with Jack Lamberts and Claimjumpers requested teams.

Again, the participation even though the thread is only a week old is encouraging.

JL, I'm going to let claimjumper take Wyoming if that's ok. You have a pretty full slate of teams already.

Went ahead and did some write ups on some of the less popular teams to get them done - Temple, UCONN, La Tech, Hawaii and Duke.

We are making pretty good early progress on getting some of the write ups done. After the initial work is complete its up to everyone who follows cfb on the forum to post updates during the season.

This thread has 15000+ views as well so it looks like their are quite a few lurkers interested in this info as well.

Leonardfan, thanks for your work on this on this thread, along with everyone else. I couldn't imagine this much help on the college write-ups when I started doing them pretty much by myself 10 years ago. It is strange to think that it has been that long since I started doing college write ups, but it has been. I was a young man then, and I'm a middle aged man now. I won't wax nostalgic anymore, but I am glad a younger/newer generation of CFers are doing this research and posting it for those who would hear and see to learn from it! :)

No problem Col! I'm not exactly a spring chicken myself anymore...lol. I've been a member of this site for 9 years now. Hard to believe! The write-ups are something I have considered an annual tradition. I think it is important for tracking purposes and give an idea on what teams to root for and who to root against.
