I forget to mention that France's best chance was squandered by Samir Nasri. Giroud did well to get the ball to Nasri who only had to beat the keeper but instead shot it weakly and without much conviction into the keeper's body.

I have to admit a guilty pleasure of mine is rooting against the African National Team (Oh sorry, I meant to say French National Team), lol. The French do have some decent players I can respect (Ribery, Giroud, Nasri, Benzema, Valbuena, Lloris, etc), but the French side always has too many Negroes on their team. It's fun watching them lose and struggle when they bring out their Negro footballers lol. The most hilarious part is that France always seems to get owned by all-white teams like Spain, Ukraine, etc.

Hoping for another good result in the return leg in France!

Yeah, I don't get the inclusions of these two. If I remember right, Nasri was effectively suspended by the French team for some of the things that he had done. And Benzema has done absolutely nothing, as fredric has pointed out many a time. There's a reason he's finally gotten benched after 3 years of failure you know. He's also very arrogant; I believe it was him who said he's looking forward to playing in Brazil (before the 1st leg was even played). If you wanted to include an Arab for the sake of including one, at least pick someone like Adil Rami, who to my knowledge hasn't done anything stupid.

Also, Liverlips, Ukraine can actually lose to France by 1 goal as well and still make it to the WC now!

On the stream I'm watching the commentator said: "As Karim Benzema so eloquently put it, 'There's nothing like a World Cup in the land of football'".

First of all I doubt Benzema has ever been eloquent. Second of all, the sport was invented in England. And lastly, I'm so sick of pro-Brazil sycophancy in the football world. I've been hearing it all my life yet at no time in that life have Brazil ever looked heads and shoulders above all the other teams. I can recall some 'beautiful football' by Brazil in the 80s yet in that decade they never won anything. The team that won the 1994 World Cup won with a header from a cross in the semi-final and in penalties after an ugly 0-0 draw in the final. There was nothing beautiful or unique about their style of football. Ditto for the Brazilian teams since 1994.

I detest Brazil and all the fawning that that media does over them.

Why don't all these Brazilians play in the "Land of Football" and stay out of Europe? It's because they are stupid and can't create a decent country.

Now all the media is fawning over all the South American teams. A Chile team that went all out to beat England, who fielded a weakened team, now is considered a serious challenger for the WC by the media. Of course, the media hates England, bit now Chile gets credit for beating them.

Europe, I believe it's that CB from Jeventus, Angelo Ogbonna. Italy keeps getting worse, and they still have that half-Egyptian guy, El-Shaarawy. I will not cheer for Italy at all in this WC as long as they play that odious buffoon Balotelli. Playing another Nigerian only makes them worse.

In other news, Sami Khedira is in danger of missing the World Cup for Germany after getting hurt in the friendly against Italy. This should whittle down the non-white contigent in the German lineup to 1-2 (including the white-looking Ozil). If Hummels and Mertesacker start at CB, that would leave Ozil, making Germany a team to cheer for in the WC. Although Low seems to have trademarked a way of getting random useless non-whites in the German squad, like Sydney Sam, Boateng, Dennis Aogo, etc.

In Africa an Algerian player who, reportedly, should've been sent off scored the winning goal to put them through. So what happens if France plays Algeria in Brazil? Will Benzema do his best for France? (Not that his best is all that good)

In the first leg, he gifted Ukraine a penalty goal with a stupid challenge, then physically assaulted a Ukraine player -- for which he got sent off and suspended. How could Koscielny have done a better job than Sakho even if he had not been suspended? I see Sakho getting the starting nod ahead of Koscielny from now on. Koscielny would have only himself to blame.
