After 4 straight bowl losses the Badgers are looking to get over that bump in the road and get that ever elusive bowl win to cap off the season. All 4 bowl (3rose bowls) were hard fought but a loss is a loss. The badgers lose Borland and Abbrederis to the the NFL but there is plenty of talent returning to Mad Town this year!
Offense
QB *position battle between Joel Stave 6'5 230 and Tanner McEvoy 6'6 225
FB Derek Watt 6'2 230 he will be used as an HBack at times
WR Jordan Frederick 6'4 210
TE Sam Arneson 6'4
40
LT Tyler Marz 6"7 300
LG Dallas Lewallen 6'4 300
C Dan Voltz 6'3 300
RG Kyle Costigan 6"5 310
RT Rob Havenstein 6'8 330
Defense
DE Konrad Zagzebski 6'3 275
OLB Joe Schobert 6'2 230
OLB Vince Biegel 6'4 230
ILB Derek Landisch 6'0 230
SS Michael Caputo 6'1 206
FS * position battle Leo Musso 5'10 195
The Badgers look to start 16 white guys if Musso wins his position battle. If he does the Badgers will have 3former very athletic high school stud RBs(Schobertand Caputo) I'd prefer to see McEvoy the dual threat from NJ start instead of Stave b/c im not so sure on Staves shoulder after 2 consecutive shoulder injuries. At RB they have the best in the country with Melvin Gordon so the 1st game against LSU will be an awesome atmosphere where the badgers have a chance to make noise early. The OLine will be great as always and on defense even though a lot was lost Zag,Schobert,Landisch, Biegel, and Caputo are studs. The combo of Trotter and Landisch inside will be able to match Borland's production together.
Key backups: LT Hayden Biegel,NT Art Goldberg FB Derek Straus, C Mike Deiter, Rg Jacob Schmidt, DE Jake Keefer:, S Austin Hudson, RB Austin Ramesh, and Wr Alex Erickson.
