I updated the Senior Bowl roster but I put the thread under the college football thread. Is there a way to merge it and put my thread in the 2014 Draft thread.

From what I have read so far from weigh-ins and first day practices Jimmy Garappolo has carried the momentum from his East-West Shrine game performance to into the senior bowl. Both him and Carr have looked the best so far at the QB position. People are knocking Borland due to his height but he has stood out in practice. Trent Murphy has looked great so far. No DBs being invited is total B.S. but not unexpected. Still not sure why Bullough was not invited - he performed very well at the east-west shrine game.

Thanks for the head's up Jimmy C on Trevor Morning! Can't wait to see where Trent Murphy lands!

WR Jeff Janis(Saginaw Valley St) has moved up to a projected 4th Round pick...

A conservative guess says 14 QB's get selected in 14'....a 6:1 ration of white/black?

*Johnny Manziel- Texas A&M...electric playmaker puts up video-game numbers worth the price of admission
*Blake Bortels- UCF...compared to Ben Roethlisberger
*Teddy Bridgewater-Louisville...shrank from 6'-3" 218 to 6'-1 1/2 196; some NFL Teams do not consider 1st Rounder
*Derek Carr- Fresno State...should land by late 1st Round?
*Zach Mettenberger- LSU...injury may drop him a round or two; great arm; no mobility
*David Fales- San Jose St...Scouts are taking a serious look..2nd round pick?
*Aaron Murray- Georgia...injured... poor man's Drew Brees?
*Jimmy Garoppolo- Eastern Illinois...Created the most buzz in All-Star game
*A.J. McCarron- Alabama...looks like a solid back-up
*Tahj Boyd-Clemson...inconsistent; had some good WR's in college..5th round pick?
*Brett Smith-Wyoming...early entry should stick
*Connor Shaw-So.Carolina..compared to Tyrod Taylor...4.6 speed..will be on roster
*Jeff Matthews-Cornell....sneaking into late rounds?
*Jordan Lynch-Northern Illinois..should get opportunity at QB first despite poor showing at All Star game

*Other potential picks or should in a camp....
Keith Wenning...Ball State
Garrett Gilbert...SMU
Dustin Vaughan...West Texas A&M...6'-5" 232
Keith Price-Washington...
Stephen Morris-Miami
Brock Jensen...North Dakota St
Casey Pachall...TCU
Tom Savage..Pitt
Brandon Kay...Cincinnati
Tommy Rees-Notre Dame

>Rumor has it Logan Thomas(Va.Tech) one time hype machine will end up at TE

20-5?? 4:1 in training camp

The Senior Bowl practices have pretty much wrapped up. The consensus I am hearing is that Logan Thomas, Tajh ***** and Stephen Morris all pretty much stink. Thomas has verified he cannot reliably run an offense and although he has a strong arm he can't hit the broad side of a barn. Boyd has been so bad that some are saying he should not be drafted at all and Stephen Morris has not really done anything to distance himself from the other two black quarterbacks.

On the other side Derek Carr performed very well solidifying his status as a first rounder, Jimmy Garroppolo has played well putting his accuracy and lightning quick release on display.

Abrederris sounds like he was the best WR in Mobile this week, Borland was dominant and easily one of the best defensive players. Trent Murphy and Brent Urban also played well although Urban sprained his ankle and is out for the game. C.J. Fiedorowicz and Jacob Pedersen were the best TEs in mobile as well, Fiedorowicz reminds me of a poor man's Gronkowski.

In Logan Thomas' defense, he played tight end in that Army All-American Game.. and was moved to QB when he arrived at V-Tech. He had QB in his background.. but Stinespring & Beamer wanted him to transition to a full time college QB.
I've never had confidence in Thomas as a high level QB; and I'm not sure why a big-time program like Tech isn't pursuing & signing top tier pocket passers ? Beamer seems all-in with mobile (mo'bull) second tier quarterbacks. I know they sent a marginal Tyrod Taylor to the pros recently, but who cares..
It seems like VT, a perennial top 20, would be signing & delivering guys like McCarron & Luck from their program to the NFL. Not sure if this is falling on Beamer, or more on the philosophy of his subordinates.. but it seems a big time QB has been V-Tech's missing link for over a decade, their defense is typically dominating.
Personally I feel McCarron should have stronger buzz going into the pros.. he's a proven winner w/a pro-ready game.

Just read an article saying that DT Beau Allen from UW has not been invited to combine yet, despite a sack in senior bowl. NFL and their selection committee is back at it again..

Here is a scouting report from Walterfootball on Abbrederis. It's not bad, gives him credit for his deep speed but mentions that he belongs in the slot. Uggh!! http://walterfootball.com/scoutingreport2014jabbrederis.php

apparently a concussion is a negative now and they do knock his speed

Weaknesses: Lacks elite size
Lacks elite speed
Had a concussion during his junior season
Can he separate from press man by big NFL corners?
Can he make contested catches from big NFL corners?

I often wondered why they made a bigger deal out of White players getting concussions, they are supposedly worried about lawsuits, and its mostly black players that are filing them. But I realized, if parents see a White guy on tv (someone that resembles their own kid) hear about these concussion issues, maybe it will deter them from letting their kid play football, then rivals will have less players to screw over.

Nobody seems to be worried about Kelvin Benjamin's concussion, didn't come up for Chris Owusu who missed the rest of a college season after a concussion. No one was begging Laurent Robinson to retire after a series of concussions, most dwfs didn't even know about them.

as far as size, there are multiple outside receivers in the NFL under 200, a guy who had a terrific career, over 1100 catches, played the outside at 6 ft 175 pounds, Marvin Harrison, size wasn't a question for him.

I've seen a few draft projections with the Patriots taking Texas Tech TE Jace Amaro in the first round. I watched Amaro several times and was very impressed - he reminds me of Mark Bavaro the way he won't go down with the first hit.

I would like to see the Patriots draft the Iowa TE CJ Fiedorowicz. That kid is similar to Gronk. Maybe just a notch below but would be almost as dominating.

Is Amaro white? I'm not so sure.

Did some google research and I guess Amaro might have some Mexican heritage, given the name and coming from San Antonio. His mom looks kind if Mexican as well. No articles mention any Mexican ancestry. He's definitely whiter than Aaron Hernandez. I guess I'll reserve judgment until I get more info.

judging by his mugshot he looks like he has some type of indian blood in him, probably part mexican? but I view him in the same way I view Greg Salas. Guys that im happy for if they succeed if dwfs perceive that they are White but I am not like "GO JACE GO!" and to a lesser extent Rob Housler, but mainly because I held onto Rob for a long time in fantasy and he was supposed to have a breakout year and didnt

someone like Andrew Sendejo is where I draw the line, I think he looks Whiter because of rounder eyes, but I have different standards than most on this site, I don't even root for Bradford.

thats just not somebody I can identify with, Im sure hes a great guy though. Id rather him get a shot than some afflete, it just seems that they embrace anything that is not White, even if its just a tiny bit.

edit: didn't see your post when I posted. Yeah, but alot of hispanics are Whiter than Hernandez.

If he has significant Mexican heritage they will promote that, they have been trying to tap into the hispanic market, even want to play a game down there, dunno why, I don't see big financial gains from playing there. but yeah, guys with slight non white hispanic background are talked about, what sticks out in my mind is Victor Cruz with the Salsa dance, he made a td and they told him hey its such and such heritage month go do an ethnic dance, and thats what he came up with. The commercial was over the top though, to make sure people knew he was hispanic, the mother and the grandmother in the costume falling out both obviously non white hispanics, in their case Puerto Rican

thats if their good, people jumped off the Mark Sanchez bandwagon quick, as well as Taylor Martinez (not sure why they clung on to it, his dad said in an interview he was adopted and was Irish, French and German) but Mexicans claimed there was a part of Mexico where they look kind of Irish, which I don't doubt, he just isn't.

Now Taylor Martinez is a prospect I wonder about. So much potential WHEN healthy. He was an unstoppable runner when 100 percent, he just seemed to rarely be 100 percent and minor nicks that come with the game slowed him down, but he seemed like he had an attitude that he didn't care too much about football, at least not in the sense a qb should, which is why they should have moved him to another position. Rex Burkhead could run the option pretty damn well and wasn't that much worse at passing than Martinez. Maybe he can move to safety like his dad.

Party time at ESPN HQs and elsewhere in the NYC media control room as some defensive player from Missouri has come out as homosexual. I did some quick research and apparently he's rated as a mid-round prospect. Let the circus begin.

I don't even really care about college football, but even I knew this. You can find discussions where people say hes flagrantly gay back in 2012.

I kind of always expected the first openly gay NFL player (or prospect) would be a white dude. Not that it matters. I'm glad to see that he doesn't appear to be flamboyant.

I wonder how much money ESPN paid Michael Sam to come out. It seems that they are the vehicle that is pushing this thing to the top of the agenda. Not to mention he used ESPN as his mouthpiece to make this announcement that no one really cares about. ESPN once again creating news and pushing an agenda.

I think its going to pay off in the NFL, talks about if he falls far in the draft then its because he is gay and if he doesn't make a team it will because he is gay, so some team will feel pressured to take him earlier, when before this he had dropped to do an not so good senior bowl and they knocked him on measurements.

and the whole talk of teams not wanting Tebow as the circus the media brought is bs, because there are going to be at least a few teams that won't care about the media circus.

He wore a rainbow wrist band the entire 2013 season.

Just did a quick look thru of draftsite.com and they have a full seven round plus compensatory selection mock draft. They project 59 white players being drafted, not counting specialists, so pretty much par for the course. They project Abbedaris and Janis getting drafted.

ESPN has finally given us a reason to just turn them totally off. This Michael Sam "story" is the biggest farce I've ever seen. This has become all they talk about, every day.

What tptb don't seem to realize is that their brainwashing hasn't worked on everyone, most notably blacks. They don't understand political correctness the way whites do, and continue to balk at accepting gay relationships. They are learning to apologize for their comments, but they aren't as good at is as whites.

I really think this nonsense might blow up in the NFL's face. Society isn't nearly as accepting of gays as tptb assumes. They could really lose some fans.

After this homo understanding moment that the PTB and NFL want to lay down on us. I wonder 5 years from now will they understand a player coming out and professing his love for a farm goat and the eternal spring days on the meadows where he taxed that goat into oblivion. F'ning MSM media and this focus on this sh*t. !

The NFL has become a social engineering mechanism 100%. There is no more gray area. There use to be gray area, but tptb have blacked it out.

I wont watch it next season. I will just read you mens posts to get my football news. IF Manziel gets drafted high, and has at least as much success as Newton, Griffen, Wilson, Kapernick, THEN I might be inclined to tune back in. However I would almost lay my balls on the chopping block that tptb will orchestrate his failure.

Manziel will be GREAT, mark my words, no one person or organisation will stop him he has all the ability you can't keep him down just like you can't keep Andrew Luck down.

Hopefully Manziel will lead the way for other white dual threats, we can only hope!!
