Since 2005, Iowa State has started 14, 12, 8, 9, 6, 11, 10, 11 and 10 whites. They are projected to start 9 in 2014.

White backups include: QB Sam Richardson, TE Ben Boesen, WR Brett Medders, OT Jacob Dunning, C Jamison Lalk, OT Jake Campos, NG Brandon Jensen, DE Gabe Luna, LB Kane Seely, and WLB Luke Knott.

After watching the ISU-NDSU game, Iowa State actually starts a few more white guys than we thought:

Jamison Lalk started at LG, giving the Cyclones an all-white line. Also, at LB, MLB Alton Meeks and WLB Jevohn Miller are actually white guys!! So they have a snow patrol at LB and 6 white starters on the defense!

I don't know if it's a good thing or a bad thing that we now have to check to see if guys named "Jevohn" and "Alton" are White.

I think there was a white college basketball player named Rotnei a few years ago. Pitt had a white player named Shadrick or something like that.

Maybe if more whites were named L'atrell, Shamar or Vontay we would get more chances ...
