The other night San Diego State was LUCKY to put their game into OT with BYU....Even the announcers saw the Aztec player get away with taking 3 steps backward to attempt the 3 pointer that put it into OT

It's been a great few days of college basketball, and I'm going to try and recap some of the games from the last couple of days.

Thursday

Wisconsin held off Georgetown in the semis of the Battle 4 Atlantis Tourney 68-65. The shooting of reserves Duje Dukan and Bronson Koenig was key for the Badgers as they came back to overtake the Hoyas in the 2nd half. Sam Dekker led the way for the Badgers with 17 points and 6 rebounds. As I mentioned Koenig was huge, scoring 14 crucial points off the bench. On a day when Frank Kaminsky struggled, it was nice to see other guys step up for the Badgers against a quality opponent.


Matt Stainbrook had a nice game for Xavier Thursday against San Diego, with 14 points, 9 rebounds, and 8 assists. Freshman sharpshooter JP Macura had 11 points in only 12 minutes for the Musketeers.

The Toreros were led by Johnny Dee, who had 20.


Marquette outlasted Georgia Tech 72-70. The Golden Eagles were led by senior transfer Matt Carlino, who had 38 points!!!

For my last Thursday score, it involves Washington State. You see, Washington State used to use a TON of white guys and were ranked in the Top 10 about 4-5 years ago. Now, they have one white player on the roster, and in the words of Jimmy Chitwood, suck something fierce. The Cougars have gotten worse every single year, and have yet to bottom out, apparently. They got absolutely destroyed by UC Santa Barbara 71-43, scoring a paltry 12 points in the first half. Maybe they could go back to that formula of underrated white guys that made them so good instead of getting the 2nd or 3rd rate black players that get passed over by everybody else.


Friday

First, a couple of games from the Battle 4 Atlantis tournament:

Butler ended their week on a high note after besting Georgetown in the 3rd place game, 64-58. Alex Barlow again played some excellent defense, holding the Hoya's best scorer to just 12 points on 4-12 shooting. Again, it was a great team win for the Bulldogs. Kellen Dunham led the way with 16 points, with Barlow 2nd on the team with 11.


Frank Kaminsky and Wisconsin beat Oklahoma in the tournament championship game, 69-56. Kaminsky led the way for the Badgers, with 17 points and 8 boards. Duje Dukan had a good game off of the bench as well, with 13 points on 4-7 shooting from the field.


Johnny Dee had 29 points on 9-13 shooting as San Diego held off Princeton.


Gonzaga beat a feisty St. John's team 73-66 for the early NIT crown. Domantas Sabonis led the way with 14 points, 9 boards, and 2 assists, while Kevin Pangos had a great day as well with 11 points, 9 assists, 4 boards, and 2 steals.


Matt Carlino had another good game for Marquette as the Golden Eagles fell to Michigan State. Carlino had 14 points, 7 rebounds, 4 assists, and 3 steals in the loss.

I'd like to make a mention of a player that's caught my eye. I mentioned him in the prospects thread, but he definitely deserves a mention here now. That would be 17 year old Ukrainian sensation Sviatoslav Mykhauliuk. The bouncy 2 guard already STARTS for the Jayhawks! You know this kid has to be good when Dick Vitale was raving about him yesterday. He played 32 minutes against Michigan State, scoring 11 points and 4 rebounds. This kid has only scratched the surface of his potential, and I look forward to seeing how his game develops.

I thought I'd preview some of the next week's action of college hoops with basketball kicking into full swing now, and to give our members a guide on who to watch.



Tuesday

Michigan-Syracuse: ESPN 7:30 Eastern. Michigan should have 2 white starters with Derrick Walton out with an injury in Spike Albrecht and Mark Donnal. Michigan will also bring Ricky Doyle and Max Bielfeldt in off the bench at times. Syracuse will have Trevor Cooney, who's lost some of his shooting touch as of late; hopefully he can get back on track.



Wednesday

Michigan State/Notre Dame: ESPN 2 at 7:15 Eastern. The Spartans will have one white starter in Matt Costello, with forward Colby Wollenman also coming off the bench. Notre Dame will feature 2 white starters in Pat Connaughton and Steve Vasturia, with a couple more white guys in Austin Burgett and Martinas Geben coming off the bench.

Iowa vs. North Carolina: ESPN at 7:30 Eastern. Talk about a caste matchup. Iowa's 4 white starters against UNC's 0. Iowa features the high-flying Aaron White as well as forward Jarrod Uthoff as key guys to watch. UNC features 0.

Virginia vs. Maryland, ESPN2 at 9:15 Eastern. Virginia seems to have gone full caste this year, with no white starters. Mike Tobey comes off the bench for some reason this year, and Evan Nolte plays around 10-15 minutes per game. Maryland will have one starter for sure in Jake Layman, with two more white guys featuring prominently off the bench in Michel Chekovsky and Evan Smotrycz.

Duke vs. Wisconsin, ESPN 9:30 Eastern. In the past, this would've been a fun game for us to watch on both sides. Now it's a very lopsided caste matchup, with Wisconsin at 3 white starters (all three of the Badgers' main bench guys are white) against Duke (who have 0 white starters and give a few scraps here and there to Marshall Plumlee and Greyson Allen.)

Keep in mind these are only the prominent games on television. We have plenty of other teams not playing in marquee games.

Anyway, here's what happened last night:

Gonzaga broke away in the 2nd half from SE Louisiana last night, and won 76-57. Kyle Wiltjer had 20 points and 5 boards, Domantas Sabonis had 14 points and 5 boards, and Kevin Pangos had 12 points and 3 rebounds.


Tyler Haws and Kyle Collinsworth had some great games as BYU outpaced Utah State 91-81. Haws led the way with 35 points on 10-19 shooting, adding 6 rebounds as well. Kyle Collinsworth had 20 points, 10 rebounds, 4 assists, and 2 steals. He looks to be well on his way back from that ACL tear last year.


Isaac Haas had another productive night off the bench for Purdue. In just 16 minutes, he had 13 points and 7 rebounds.

Jack Lambert, I am not the hugest basketball fan but do occasionally watch a game and I appreciate the updates you make and use them as references if I see a game on tv that may grab my interest.

In a funny upset, I noticed that perennially black Memphis lost AT HOME by 12 POINTS to small conference Stephen F. Austin. Ironically, Memphis' best (or 2nd best?) player is their only Whitey, Austin Nichols. He had 16 points, 5 boards and 3 blocks in this loss. For SFA, they started 3 honkey crackers and played a 4th off of the bench. How could these unathletic, unknowns beat a team of highly recruited negros? I think we need Jimmy C to declare this one "weird".

I'll be watching tonight and heavily rooting for Wisconsin over Coach K's 4 & 5 star negros.

Here, here Jack! I haven't be able to read all the CB posts, but I do read them. You do a lot for this thread, (Freethinker, NBA), as I have tried to post on the NBA thread, but lately I've been really busy with work and family, but I always read as many threads as I can on CF.

Stephen F. Austin is indeed a very white-friendly squad. ESPN tabbed swingman Jacob Parker as the #97 player in the country in one of their meaningless preseason lists, but fellow junior Thomas Walkup is right behind him in terms of team MVP. They are combining for almost 29 points and 12 boards per game so far in the non-conference schedule, and this squad will be a a clear rooting interest and strong favorite in the pedestrian Southland Conference's tournament. Hopefully they can repeat last year's successful 18-0 regular season and first round tourney upset of always-overrated, racist, black supremacist VCU. Second-year head coach Brad Underwood is a great story, starting out at Dodge City Community College in 1988 and clawing his way up the professional ranks. He's already turned down Marshall and Southern Miss head coaching jobs and will hopefully retain his racial objectivity when a bigger school inevitably lures him away.

I guess I was just getting a bit down with how slow posting has been of late, but as the season goes on, I'm sure it will pick up again as peoples' time frees up, and interest picks up as well. Yea, let's not make excuses, Wisconsin played very poorly. Only Jackson (black) really played well for them. On the other hand Duke looks very good. It's a dangerous combo when you have some legitimately talented youffs and combine them with a legendary head coach.

After the huge highs of Iowa and Notre Dame's Caste Wins, I sorta expected the Badgers to lose. Oh well, it's a long season and Wisconsin will rebound from this. Speaking of the Notre Dame game, I see Michigan State benched Costello. F them. Costello is a junior and is way too talented to get 13 mins off the bench. They deserved to lose.

In the Iowa game, I thought Adam Woodbury played well. I've been critical of him in the past but Iowa does not involve him in the offense enough. He got all his points hustling and cleaning up the scraps.

Some other notes:

Butler is ranked now at #23. Good for them. They won an easy one last night.

True freshman Christian Terrell scored 22 for Florida Gulf Coast. He's famous for his huge dunk in HS. Youtube his name if you haven't seen it.

Wichita St had their 35 regular season win streak snapped. Ron Baker still had 15 points, 6 boards. Utah has a big freshman from Austria who seems talented, Jakob Poeltl. On the season he's averaging 12 ppg, 9.6 rpg and 3 bpg.

Phil Forte III, who's one of the most dynamic scorers in the country, had 32 points. I had this game on for a few minutes and this kid is fun to watch. He's not only a shooter but can get to the basket at 5'-11". He got to the free throw line 13 times last night!

Yeah he did. I know during the game last night, they were showing the previous times the two had met in the Big 10 challenge.. Duke had 3-4 white players on the floor in those highlights. My how far they've fallen. But they are really good this year. Nobody can deny that.

I was gonna see that Mike Gesell really stepped up last night for Iowa, with a team-high 16 points, including a huge 3 point play with 30 seconds left to give the Hawkeyes the lead for good.

Congratulations to the other Devils team, the University of the Sciences in Philadelphia Devils, who defeated their neighbor Drexel tonight, 54-52. Division 2 superstar Garret Kerr put up 27 points and 10 rebounds, including the game-ending fallaway three in the closing seconds. The 6'4 senior forward currently ranks 10th and 2nd, respectively, across the division. It's a shame he couldn't hone his skill set while studying at a more prominent, less-serious university such as UNC. These Devils start five whites and bring two nerdy brothers off the bench, one who even wears the Steve Urkel goggles.

The Drexel Dragons, meanwhile, start five blacks and could only find room for one token 'minority,' a swarthy Iranian giant who towered over the underdogs but could not make the difference. They become the first D1 program to lose to a non-D1 team in 226 games this year. Although Drexel is a Colonial conference punching bag, this loss is still a pock mark on the players and staff, who obviously didn't bother to plan past the eye-test.

Drexel could have won convincingly, and be a force if only the coaches knew what to do to properly utilize the superior talent that they have on the court.

Speaking of upsets, Michigan managed to lose to New Jersey Institute of Technology (the only unaffiliated D-1 team in college hoops) 72-70 just now...

Entertaining game on right now between Marquette and Wisconsin. Marquette's only white player is Matt Carlino (they'll have Luke Fischer soon), but Carlino makes the Golden Eagles run. He's been really good today so far!

Some other games on today of interesting to CF: #23 Butler plays on FOX this afternoon against Northwestern.

#3 Arizona and #9 Gonzaga are on ESPN(?) I believe tonight around 4-5. Should be an entertaining game...

As we prepare to by disappointed by the fist college football playoff, We had some great days yesterday by white hoopsters across the country yesterday. I'll try to get to all of the performances that I noticed from both watching and flipping through the box scores.

First, Arizona triumphed over Gonzaga in an excellent game yesterday. Kyle Wiltjer,who had a game high 15 points to go with 7 rebounds, missed a potential game winner at the end of regulation. Meanwhile, Arizona guard TJ McConnell went off during overtime, scoring the first 4 points for Arizona as they ended up winning when an afflete for the Zags was fouled shooting a 3 and proceeded to miss all of them (last one was an intentional miss). McConnell finished with 12 points, 2 assists, 3 rebounds, and 3 steals, yet the announcers constantly reminded us all during the game that McConnell doesn't actually have much athletic ability.:icon_rolleyes: Too bad McConnell isn't black, he'd be a sure fire NBA Hall of Famer! Down low, the two centers of Polish descent, Kaleb Tarczewski of Arizona and Pzemek Karnowski of Gonzaga battled like titans, with Tarc finishing with 11 points and 7 rebounds, while Karnowski had double double with 10 points and a game-high 11 rebounds. Kevin Pangos struggled somewhat, finishing with only 8 points on 3-10 shooting. Overall, a great game with white guys making plays all over the place.

Wisconsin took care of a pesky Marquette team yesterday 49-38. No doubt Marquette's players are still adjusting to running an actual offense at teams with Wojo at the helm over Buzz Williams. Frank Kaminsky was a beast as usual, with 15 points, 10 boards, 4 steals, 3 blocks, and an assist. Josh Gasser also had four triples for the Badgers, finishing with 12 points. Opposite, dynamic grad transfer Matt Carlino had a good game, leading all scorers with 18 points.

It appeared Wichita St was all about their white players yesterday!! In a game that would have made CF proud, the only 3 Shockers players in double digits happened to be their 3 white guys! Ron Baker led the trio with 18 points. Fellow starter Evan Wessel had 15 points, while Estonian freshman center Rauno Nurger had 15 off the bench. Not surprisingly, they blew away the Billikens 81-52.


Butler took care of Northwestern yesterday as well, winning 65-56. It would've been more if one of Butler's affletes hadn't insisted on wasting several positions by driving to the rim and throwing up garbage about 3 or so straight times down the court. Kellen Dunham led all scorers with 19 points on 6-9 shooting to go with a perfect 6-6 from the charity stripe. Alex Barlow played his usual great defense, and had 8 points, 6 rebounds, and 4 steals as well.

For Northwestern, they have an impressive looking freshman in guard Bryant McIntosh, who came off the bench to lead the Wildcats with 12 points. He seems to have that "it" quality about him having watched him yesterday. Chris Collins compared him to Jon Scheyer, so this kids gonna be good!! Good to see Duke's former assistants still recruiting and playing white talent; maybe those guys (Collins, Dawkins, and Wojo, to name a few) are the guys who had a say in some of that great white talent Duke used to accumulate...

For Michigan State, Matt Costello came off the bench to tie the team lead in scoring with 15 points and also pulled down 5 rebounds, outperforming the magical athlete that Coach Izzo put in the lineup ahead of him.

CF favorite BYU had a great game in blowing out Hawaii, 90-70. All three of BYU's starting guards had HUGE games. First, Kyle Collinsworth had 19 points, 12 rebounds, and 10 assists for a triple double!! Collinsworth is BYU's most important player; without him, it's a lot tougher for the Cougars to win. Tyler Haws had his usual great game with 30 points, to go with 7 rebounds. Chase Fischer also had 20 points with 5 rebounds, 5 assists, and 3 steals. These three may be the most underrated backcourt in the country, that's for sure.

Davidson continues it's great start to the year by blowing out Stetson 90-59. Tyler Kalinoski had a game-high 25 points in the blowout. I'm hoping the Wildcats are able to exceed expectations their first year in the A-10.

Iowa devoured a cupcake yesterday, and Aaron White led Iowa's white contingent with 14 points and 5 boards.

Finally, the best performance by a white player yesterday may have to go to Eastern Washington's Venky Jois (who may be of partial Indian descent). Regardless, he had 38 points and 7 boards yesterday in the Eagles' win over Seattle.

There was one more game I wanted to mention from today, the in-state rivalry between Nebraska and Creighton. This game has become one of my favorite annual caste matches. After Doug McDermott and co. spanked all-black Nebraska out of Omaha last year, Husker fans were no doubt left wondering how their super athletes managed to lose to a bunch of gym rats. With McDermott and 3 more starters leaving this year and the game in Lincoln, along with Nebraska returning nearly their entire NCAA tourney team, many Husker fans thought that this would be the year they would kill Creighton, who are breaking in four new starters. Turns out the new Blue Jays studied up and practiced really had, as Creighton again wins 65-55. Creighton out scored Nebraska 38-27 in the 2nd half, again leaving Husker DWFs confused on how their all-black team managed to lose to a whiter team yet again.

The scoring for Blue Jays was spread out, with Austin Chatman (black) leading the team with 19 points. Isiah Zierden led the white players with 13 points and 5 boards off the bench. Ricky Kreklow had 9, Will Artino had 8, and Zach Hanson had 6. Meanwhile, no white guy was worthy enough to see the floor for Nebraska.

Nevermind, I guess there is one more result that I could mention:

USC 89, Utah St. 84

Believe it or not, this is actually a victory for us, as previously white-friendly USU has only one white guy who sees time, David Collette. Of course, he's the Aggies best player. He went for a game-high 32 points and 14 rebounds against the Trojans tonight!! Not wanting to be out done, Serbian forward Nikola Jovanovic went off for a team high 23 points for USC while adding 6 boards. Strahnja Gavrilovic came off the bench for 13 points, and UNLV transfer Katin Reinhardt had 11 points, 6 assists, and 3 rebounds.

Isaiah Zierden shows that a gym rat who brings his lunch pail everyday can beat "more athletic" competition.

Monday

Butler will be on Fox Sports 1 playing cupcake Kennesaw State @ 7 Eastern.

Tuesday

Wichita St, who has 2 white starters and 1 off the bench, will play Seton Hall, who has Jaren Sina as starting PG, will be playing on ESPN2 at 7 Eastern.

Iowa gets a cupcake as well in HBCU Alcorn St coming to town. That will be on ESPNNews @ 9...

Michigan, who uses 3 white guys in a 7 man rotation, will play EMU on ESPNU @ 9 as well.

Creighton will be playing South Dakota on Fox Sports 1 @ 9:15.

Thanks JL for the updates. I had a busy weekend so you've really filled me in. I did happen to catch a few minutes of Butler v Northwestern. Dunham was better than I even thought. McIntosh caught my eye as well. I like his confidence. He should be very good in the near future.

Following up their loss to Creighton, the all-black Cornhuskers managed to lose to Incarnate Word Wednesday night, 74-73. The only white player for Incarnate Word hit the game winning jumper with 2 seconds left.


Well, with the first full weekend of College Hoops, there should be some interesting caste matchups on.

Friday

Iowa State vs. Iowa, 8 Eastern, Big Ten Network - big caste matchup, with Iowa's four white starters against Iowa State's 0.


Saturday

No. 11 Wichita State (two white starters) @ Detroit, ESPN U 12 Eastern - a great chance to watch AA candidate Ron Baker.

St. Mary's @ Creighton, Fox Sports 1, 2 Eastern - Next year, St. Mary's will have 4 white guys starting again, but now it's time to cheer for Creighton.

Nicholls State @ No. 5 Wisconsin, 3 Eastern, Big Ten Network - when there a chance to watch a team with 3 white starters and the two main bench players being white, take it.

Michigan (1 white starter, 2 white bench guys) @ Arizona (2 white starters, 2 off the bench), ESPN 5 Eastern - Jon Beilen's team has NO post presence this year, and is coming off two tough losses. After Wisconsin, Arizona would be our bet for a relatively white friendly team doing something.

UNI (2 white starters, 3 main bench players are white) against VCU (are whites even allowed to play for these guys?) - NBC Sports Network, 7 Eastern. Again, UNI will be starting 3-4 white guys again next year.

Florida State (1 white bench player) @ Notre Dame (2 white starters, 2 white bench players) ESPN 2, 8 PM Eastern - Although not quite as white friendly as a couple of years ago, the Fighting Irish remain a team to cheer for. Like with a couple teams I've mentioned, they'll have more white guys next year.
Sunday

No. 15 Butler @ Tennessee, ESPNU 1 Eastern - Butler starts 3 white guys and plays 2 more off the bench, whereas Tennessee doesn't play white people anymore.

Eastern Washington @ Washington, PAC-12 Network 8 Eastern - From what I've seen, Eastern Washington (who upset the Hoosiers) are good this year, and hopefully their 3 white starters will run the Huskies out of the building.
