Hahah best of luck to him. By the way was he ever mentioned on this site?
No he was not mentioned. I believe I am a good evaluator of talent. He has it. He played both sides of the field. He was starting tailback his junior year. His senior year he played wide reciever and started strong safety. Great reaction to the ball, knows how to run with the ball and great football IQ.

I told him if he can get his forty into the 4.4s and weigh between 210 and 215 lbs his soph/junior year he will garner some attention with some picks. He sort of plays like Harrision Smith, although a bit smaller in stature at this point.

His father is aware of the castesystem but has not beaten it into him yet. I guess he(nephew) will see it for the 1st time at the D 1 level.

Congratulations to that young man. Tell him to stay on the straight & narrow, hit the books and work hard (on & off the field).

I wonder how many white players that eventually start/make an impact are actually ones who never were offered a scholarship....

For example, Clemson only signed Ben Boulware, yet they granted WR/CB Seth Ryan (Rex's son) guarenteed walk-on and have TE Zach Riggs a greyshirt...

Correction, Clemson has two more preferred walk-ons in addition to Ryan and Riggs, TE Sean MacLain and CB Adrien Dunn. Starting to wonder how many schools are getting away with signing superior talents as walk-ons.

It amazes me that the tub of goo could have a son who can play D1 as a defensive back/ receiver. I wonder if favours were pulled for Rex's son as Clemson is pretty caste and has been that way for 30 years plus.
