"explosive" Colts wideout Darius Heyward-Bey is doing his best to blow up the Indy offense. he's been thrown to 6 times and managed to knock all of them down.

it looks like his upside is tremendous! hahaha!!!

Do the Colts have one white starting on their defense? Russell Wilson has been running wild all over them.

How about the game by Nick Foles today. He threw two touchdowns and around 200 yards passing in a little over a half after Vick left the game with another injury. The Eagles clearly play better with Nick in charge. The kid has a great arm and he very accurate. He 25 yards play action pass to Celek for a touchdown was the play of the day in the NFL if you ask me. A thing of beauty. Wake up Chip Kelly. Vick is old and washed up. The guy gets hurt every single year and he is overrated as a qb. The future is now. Replace him with Nick Foles and watch the wins add up!

Sad to see Miami and New England lost. Hoping Indy holds on.

Miami's sumo O-line costs the Dolphins yet another victory. Of course, the Miami DWF's are blaming Tannehill. Nevermind the fact that hands of stone Mike Wallace and Charles Clay dropped 2 very catchable balls in that last drive. Thanks Jeff Ireland for purging this team of its white offensive linemen and tight ends.

during the highlights they show Vick get hurt by no one touching him, then all of a sudden they have 22 points on the board, and show one td throw by Foles for 5 yards to Jackson and then on the game highs for each team it shows Vick's stats at like 100 yards (left game) with no mention of Foles.

what the hell happened to Riley Cooper? at least with Vick he was getting a couple of catches, 0 catches for the game.

btw, the "stat padder" Brees, only threw a few short passes entire 4th quarter trying to run out the clock. He only needed 12 yards to keep his 300 yard consecutive game streak up and didn't go for it. Had the backs run effectively he would not have needed to throw it at all. The highest ypc on the team? Jed Collins the White fullback, and all of his carries were short yardage, 3 carries for 11 yards 3.7. Pierre Thomas 19 carries for 36 yards 1.9. Sproles 3 for 10 3.3 and Khiry Robinson 3.0 ypc

Jed Collins also had 4 catches, targeted 5 times.

Tuel didn't play all that well in place of Manuel but that brings up another new facet of the current black quarterback revolution. In the old days the team would keep a serviceable veteran White QB on the bench for just this type of situation. However what kept happening is that whenever ol' Whitey would go in the team would *surprise* play better. The league managers quickly realized that any black quarterback experiment is hugely undermined by having a good White QB in reserve so plan B was implemented.

Teams now stock very unproven White rookies or other black quarterbacks behind their precious negro starters so even when they slump, suck, or invariably get injured (because they are always running like they are still playing college ball) then the back-up is usually not effective enough to stop the black quarterback from returning.

Ask yourself this. Would Buffalo have had a better chance of winning if Ryan Fitzgerald or even Matt Leinhart was still on their roster? Either of those guys may have been the best QB in the stadium last night. Another example of the best players don't play, often they aren't even allowed to be on the roster.

This trend of not keeping a veteran quarterback is more due to money than race, IMO.

Very happy to see Andrew Luck get the win over the midget, as this was an important QB match-up that had to go our way. When it comes to White QBs going against black quarterbacks, gotta win as many of those as possible.

It's been a fairly quiet day otherwise, and not much else to look forward to other than the Denver game this afternoon and then hopefully a good game for Woodhead later tonight.

Also glad to see Luck win. But I disagree on the second part. Foles taking over for Vick and winning is huge blow to the caste system. Especially since the Eagles start 8-9 whites when Foles is the starter.

Great play by Romo in the pocket, his movement to get free and find Whitten was great on that drive! Could be an upset here!

Last year, I remember you suggesting Jed Collins could be a decent NFL running back and I laughed at you for that. He moves pretty well at 255 pounds. Would be very interesting to see him at 235 and get carries with a lead blocker.

Trent Richardson had a 18 carry 56 yard performance. I heard the color commentator talking about his big play ability. When will one announcer say the emperor has no clothes on?

Forgot about Foles, you're absolutely right. The big question now is whether he can become the permanent starter, regardless of Vick's injury status.

other remarkable performances by runningbacks today,

Reggie Bush 13 carries 44 yards 3.4 ypc, apparently he needs Calvin Johnson taking up double teams to run effectively according to the announcers.

Chris Johnson 10 carries for 17 yards, although he had a long reception for a td.

Trent Richardson 18 carries for 56 yards, 3.1 0 tds.

LeSean McCoy 22 carries for 46 yards 1 td. 2.3 ypc

Ray Rice 27 carries for 74 yards 2.7 ypc, but 2 tds.

Lamar Miller 7 carries for 15 yards, 2.1 ypc

Willis McGahee 26 carries for 72 yards 2.8

Fred Jackson 17 carries 53 yards 3.1 ypc, but scored 2 tds.

None of these teams could use a White back? Whites can't keep up with these kinds of performances?

white is right, i'm glad you mentioned Richardson. i don't understand the hype surrounding him. as of today, he's carried the ball 82 times on the year and has exactly ONE carry for over 12 yards ... his "most explosive" (sic) carry, which came today, is a mere 16 yards.

on the bright side, i guess his proponents would say he's just hitting his stride. *smirk*

but nary a White tailback in these United States is good enough to be featured.

Eric Decker is playing like a madman, already 3 for 74 and a TD (short one).

No team will call Eachus,Hillis,Hester,or any other white back unless they want to have them at FB.

Eachus played great in the 2012 preseason with two 100 yard games but was stuck at FB all year then dropped in the off-season,probably never to be heard from again.

Hillis looked good in pre-season but was cut and i haven't seen anything about him getting a workout anywhere.

Hester has never got any respect and his career is probably over. When they played Mike Tolbert at HB instead of Hester years ago i knew he was never going to get a chance in the league.Last year got my hopes up for him a little but i haven't seen any interest in him since Denver cut him.

The only positive i have seen is Woodhead and his expanding role on the Chargers.Even the dumbest or drunkest fan should be able to see how he affects the offense. The difference in speed between Woodhead and the other two backs is easy to see.At some point they will have to really feature him if they want to win and Matthews is going to get injured at some point anyway.

I had forgotten all about Nate Eachus. He was really electric in those preseason games. Hell I even remember Hester having some big games in the preseason. They clearly don't want white running backs. Hillis somehow slipped through the cracks and between injuries and the media/fan bashing, he probably done. Even an increble talent like Woodhead rarely gets to run the ball for the Pats and it's the same with the Chargers. Even if he gets a few more chances this year, they will never let him be the main guy? It makes no sense other than the caste system at work. How can you not have a guy who runs a 4.3 in the 40 not run the ball 15 - 20 times a game at the minimum. I'm scratching my head on that one. I don't think Danny Woodhead has even ran the ball even close to 15 touch's this year in a game. He needs to get the ball 20-25 times and he will break more than a few runs. I wish he was younger but he still has a few good years left. I would say around 3-4 since he has been underused his whole career. Somehow I think this trend will continue sadly.

just crossed the wire

Some physicists posit that there may be an infinite number of universes and infinite versions of ourselves living in them. Am I possibly stuck in some sort of seam where I wake up each day in a different, slightly more bizarre, universe? This is mind boggling. I need Morgan Freeman to explain it to me.

The Broncos offense with Manning at the helm is simply unbelievable, an unstoppable machine!

The have out scored Dallas 28-3 after falling behind 14-0.

I hope Woodhead gets another 3-4 good years but he did have an incredible amount of carries in college.

Woodhead was a little banged up at the start of last season but has been relatively injury free in the NFL unless i'm forgetting something.I'm willing to bet that his speed is still close to combine numbers just based on the eye test.He might not beat Chris Johnson in a race but he could beat 95+% of the HBs in the league. If he has 3-4 more years i hope that they are for a team that will feature him and the Chargers look like they are giving him more plays so maybe they can be a home until retirement.
