Week two kicks off Thursday Night with the Patriots hosting the Jets. I get the feeling the media will be heavily on the side of the black quarterback and will be cheering for Geno to pull the upset. I don't see that happening even if the Pats will be without Amendola, who will most likely sit this one out. Last weeks game was too close for Brady and company, to me this has the looking of a blowout. Hopefully Sudfield gets some targets this week and Edelman builds upon his impressive start!

While I figured Amendola would miss a few games this season given his past history, I did not think it would occur on Week 2. This is flat out ridiculous! And it's being reported that the 10 days of rest following this game may not be enough for him to heal. He's essentially the total opposite of Welker when it comes to durability.

Hopefully this means an even bigger role for Edelman in the offense.

Unfortunately, he has his own history of breaking down rather easily.

Yeah Amendola is a certified talent but a delicate one. He is like a high end european sports car of the late 60s and early 70s. Great performance when tuned but always breaking down. Edelman has the same affliction. Hopefully for both 2013 will be different. I always wonder how some players make plays during the second half of a game after being injured, but the following week are semi crippled and can not play. Must be pre caution not to let them play.

Amendola spoke the entire offseason about shedding his “fragile” label, but he’s already missed time in training camp and pre-season (ankle injury), and left the first game with a groin injury. He returned to that game and played fantastic, so why wouldn’t he play against the Jets and then rest for 10 days to play against Tampa Bay on 9/22 (the alleged return of Gronkowski)? At least Edelman, the starting outside receiver, isn’t injured… as his position is more vulnerable and could be taken by Boyce or Dobson (who is also injured). Amendola hasn’t been officially ruled out, so perhaps he’ll surprise us and “gut it out” to the best of his abilities? Welker would have.

Speaking of Jets/Patriots, the venerable Caste Stooge, Rex Ryan, admitted in a recent press conference that he can’t seem to tell one white receiver from another. I suppose they “all look the same” to a pallid African such as him…

“That’s something that obviously looks like New England is going to run the ball more than they’ve done in the past,” Ryan said. “I saw where two receivers, [regarding] your comments that it was a bad game [for receivers], I saw two receivers had over 100 yards. So, [laughing] Oh my goodness. But again, you’ve got a couple of Wes Welker clones over there in Edelman and Amendola. It’s difficult, no question.”

With Sudfeld possibly out with a hamstring injury, Gronkowski out for one more game, and Amendola out with a groin, the task of torching Rex's Green Plantation could be left to Julian Edelman.

It looks like some drama exists between the Bucs and Josh Freeman - hopefully he will lose his job earlier in the season than I anticipated.

Something I wanted to share, the Seattle fans are being urged to break some sort of noise record this weekend in their home opener against the 49'ers. These pathetic creatures have officially surpassed the Jets, Steelers, and any other group of fans as the worst DWFs in the NFL:

Anyway, as to the rest of Week 2, I really hope some of these black quarterbacks fall flat on their faces, starting with Geno Smiff tonight.

Brady vs Smiff. It seems like Sanchez is out for the year. It almost seems as if Rex set him up to get hurt in that preseason game surrounded by backups because of the pressure he was getting from the gm to start Smiff. Sanchez is white enough for me. I'm still pulling for him as he got screwed by the caste system.

I hope Amendola gets healthy soon as well as Gronkowski, its just not the same with just Edelman on offense, I feel like he is misused too often with the routes they have him run.

I thought Smiff was picked off but it was a fumble by the unlimited upside Stephen Hill. Pats in the redzone, Edelman double teamed every play it seems.

I love that big buffoon Rex "White Hater" Ryan is paying respect to Julian Edelman by double teaming him. It shows some respect for his ability to catch and run with the ball. Edelman is by far the best receiver on the Patriots with Amendola out. Let's hope that we can also see the tightends become a bigger part of the offense tonight. I want to see them kill the Jets. Go Patriots.

I always enjoyed when the cameras panned to the Patriot bench to find Brady.......Wes Welker was usually sitting beside him and they would be talking and laughing. Tonight, when they pan to Brady he is sitting by himself with his head hanging down......some chemistry you just don't mess with....

Edelman is half Jewish by birth — through his father, but was raised as a Christian.
http://www.jewornotjew.com/profile.jsp?ID=706

He has Jewish ancestry on his father's side, and was raised a Christian.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Julian_Edelman#Early_years

Edelman's father IS Jewish but mother IS NOT.
http://www.jewishjournal.com/thegodblog/item/the_patriots_jewish_all-purpose_player_20111121

Edelman is not genetically Semitic, if he is it is a small amount, probably ancestry from European jews who converted over, but nice of you to insert your agenda whenever possible

besides a few media journalists, most people consider him White, and im guessing they to do deep down since they aren't jumping all over him like that guy Gabe Carimi I believe it was, and they are desperate for jewish nfl players.bu

but nice site, jew or not jew, who will claim anybody that has any connection to judaism as long as they have positive traits, and wikipedia is so accurate you know, and then another jewish site. I will wait for Edelman to say he is jewish.

Edelman’s father IS Jewish but mother IS NOT. Edelman considers himself Jewish, which is good enough for TGR.

Like me, Edelman was raised Christian. Still, Jew or Not a Jew gives him the label: “Barely a Jew.”

good enough for them? by claiming that its probably why he has had a secure roster spot with all of the injuries.

There are guys who don't even have jewish in them that get labeld barely a jew. Like guys who claim to be into the religion.

Edelman's response on if he was jewish
“Well,” he said, “I’m not completely Jewish, if you know what I mean. I know people want me to be. My father is Jewish. My mother isn’t. I’ve been asked this before. I guess you could say I’m kind of Jewish but not really.”

Another Belichick WR bust in Dobson. Dropped two consecutive Brady passes, one of which was a potential touchdown.

Does NE have 3 whites on Defense? Or 2, What's the deal with Joe Vellano?

I figured even the great Tom Brady would struggle in this game with his receiving corps devastated except for Edelman. Even Zach Sudfield is inactive for this one because of injury. They scored on the one play because of busted defensive coverage but other than that it's been a real struggle for the Patriots offense so far.

Steve Gregory having a great game so far. Announcer just referred to him as being "more of a corner than a safety."

remember when trolls used to elicit good debates with lots of positive information on the caste system, now we just have one jew boy who pretends to have an iq of 70 with annoying one liners every now and then. Eventually goes berserk making no sense and comes back with another name

I actually fell asleep during this game.

thats good to know , and he lines up like a corner quite a bit, more of a nickel guy but its never aknowledged, actually most White dbs who don't start but get into the rotation could be considered nickel corners but they aren't. Gregory plays switches roles depending on the package, should be playing corner full time on the outside.

maybe the positive commentary has to do with it being on thursday, if it were on prime time like sunday or monday night I doubt they would be as positive

Geno Smith looks terrible. No vision, can't scramble much and throws awkward. His passes have a high arc to them. Dont understand how a QB like that could win a starting spot. There's a ton of backup QBs that could play better. :-/

yes it is pathetic. We are told Tebow is so horrible he can't even get a backup job but we have to watch guys like Smith and Freeman.

Its also pathetic that they don't use Edelman on deeper routes, hes not a yac guy, he has 7 catches for averaging 6 ypc, or maybe that is just because of his "jewish" side of him limiting abilities. In all seriousness, hes a guy that can get behind defenses and catch passes wherever you throw them on the field, for some reason he has never been able to get much yac, always averaging under 10 ypc. Doesn't make sense because is able to return kicks and punts for the distance.

Someone has to run the shorter routes and be the safety blanket, and that someone needs to get the routes right and have good hands.

Gronk is out, Amendola is out, not even a RB who can catch out of the backfield like Woodhead anymore.

Edelman is the only one available to do it.

Yes but thats how they used him for most of his entire career, and they can mix it up, you can set up the long bomb by a bunch of short passes, but they have rarely used him properly in his career, he just doesn't get yac like an Amendola or a Welker, they used him on a variety last week and last year and averaged 11+, during his rookie year he also failed to average 10 ypc. It would be one thing if he couldn't do it, and yes they need a safety valve, but all of those short passes, he could run a few deep and be wide open becasue the d wouldn't expect it at this point, he has a long of what, 9?

and even when they use him on a variety, they never really send him deep, its mostly intermediate, like in the 20 yard range, he has like 2 receptions over 35 yards yet we know he has speed because he has a 60, 70 and 90 yard return

I mean you don't need a safety valve on every play but its wise on a deep one, so just use one of the fullbacks, or make Ridley do it, he has a 50/50 shot of catching it.
