With Collie taking that last open roster spot, that means the Patriots have 25 whites, 24 blacks and 3 polys. Wow. Just wow.

That is very good news. There's just no question about it, the Patriots are more white-friendly than any other team by a longshot. It has to be on purpose, and it has to come from the top. Weird, considering the ownership. I know they cut Tebow, but he was a horrible match for their offense, so I think it was cool that they gave him a shot. If they sign Gerhart next year, they will get kicked out of the NFL. :heh:

Yes, more truly stupendous news out of New England! I guess this signing indicates the knee injury that Collie suffered against the Steelers (when he was “rolled up on†during a routine tackle) was very minor.
Aaron Dobson has a foot injury he suffered against Denver, Thompkins has a hip injury he suffered against Houston, and rookie Josh Boyce has barely played this season due to injuries and being a “healthy scratch.†Last week, Boyce returned kickoffs and actually played receiver against the Texans, but he wasn’t effective (he had one target).
Given the injuries to Thompkins/Dobson and Collie’s familiarity with the offensive scheme, New England’s top three receivers this week against Cleveland could be Edelman, Amendola, and Collie. I never thought I’d see something like that in the Caste NFL. However, unless Collie does more to impress, his 2[SUP]nd[/SUP] stint with the Patriots could be short-lived.

He caught three passes over four appearances, showing none of the burst that made him a valuable contributor to Peyton Manning-era Indianapolis Colts.
I'm just shocked that nfl.com acknowledged that a white player had burst at some point. Granted, it was in the context of saying that he no longer has it, but the clear implication is that he once did. Their filters aren't perfect after all.

Great news guys. Time to throw on the Pats jersey come playoff time. Let' go Collie. Show the nfl that you can still play!
This season NE has tempered my anger at the NFL. I really hope Collie has a notable game this weekend. And regains his form from 2 years ago. Again, BB surely knows how to tinker with the defense and get them to hold offenses for 20 points, not the usually 30 or so, with Brady and offense furiously rallying for a win or maintaining their lead. This will spell disaster in the playoffs and SB if not corrected.
The NFL is measurably less awful to watch than it was for a long stretch there. The Patriots organization has led the way, but there are more White stars now at wide receiver, tight end, and defense than there has been in about 30 years, maybe even since the mid to late 1970s, even though the overall percentage of black players is far higher than it was back then. And perhaps most enjoyably, great White quarterbacks continue to beat back the furious 20-year effort to make QB a black-dominated position.
It hasn't happened because of the NFL but in spite of its Caste System. An ongoing steep decline in the black talent pool combined with a very tough and admirable group of White football players having the ability and determination to beat the odds and rise to the top, is responsible. I think with the internet and more awareness Whites are getting more exposure, even though many are still getting screwed over, I think its harder to deny their presence, and more are slipping through and getting chances, even if it is a small few compared to our population.
Its easier for White high school players to independently promote themselves by putting out youtube videos etc. I mean even though Sam McGuffie got screwed over in the long run, I don't think he would have been recruited to Michigan and various other schools.

Just think about when Brian Urlacher came out, people were amazed, he was a hybrid s/lb in college, and in the Tampa 2, he basically was the same thing, a mlb that lined up a little deeper than usual to cover as well as play the run, he was a force to be reckoned with in the passing game as well as the run and offenses had to rethink of how to exploit it,

Look at the gameplan for Seahawks defense, those corners are like 6'3 with like 4.6+ speed that are physical at the line of scrimmage that disrupt the timing which pretty much every offense relies on. We have tons of guys like that, some playing safety in the league right now like Chris Conte.

Actually I think NE needs some bigger, outside guys who can catch vs. their current butter finger guys.
Brandon Kaufmann, Blair White, Kerry Meier, Kevin Hogan come to mind .... but I'm happy they picked up Collie.

I'm certainly not missing this game, as it could be a truly historic victory for our cause! Unfortunately, Cleveland has the 5th best passing defense in the league.
Also, Collie seems thrilled to have been re-signed by this fantastic organization...

It was doom and gloom around here when Welker was traded. However my suspicion was then that the Pats would remain a relatively white friendly team. After all, they have the best coach in football.

It was somewhat “doom and gloom,” at least by Patriot standards, haha. I'm sure you meant to say "signed with Denver," as Welker wasn't traded.
In the off-season, their 2013 draft was an all-black affair (plus a white punter) and they failed to re-sign Wes Welker, Danny Woodhead, Trevor Scott, Jeremy Ebert, Niko Koutouvides, Spencer Larson, and Jeff Tarpinian. Edelman and Gronkowski were both injured and missed significant time during OTA’s and training camp. Dane Fletcher was returning from a season on IR. After the draft, rookie Josh Boyce was being groomed to replace Welker, likewise with Shane Vereen to replace Woodhead. With the likes of Hernandez, Boyce, Thompkins, Dobson, Vereen, and Ridley, one could certainly envision a far darker offensive unit.
After it was found that the Patriots had a serial murderer (Hernandez) in their midst in June 2013, everything seemed to fall into place and now this team has the first non-black majority roster in the past 25 years of NFL football.

But, the league has certain agendas in place, and one of those tomes is to keep a bunch of mid-level functioning illiterate Black morons employed and [temporarily] out of prison.
In football you see evidence all over the place that the best White specimen of a certain category of player is always competitive with the best of his Black contemporaries, and in many cases simply superior.
The Patriots are definitely going in the right direction, but I think they're already pushing it as far as holding off the PC police, and it's a pipe dream to think the Steelers would ever wake up and go, "Oh yeah, maybe we could do better if we followed our common sense and hired a bunch of competent White guys to replace a lot of these intransigent, prima donna Black imbeciles..."

This fool writes this despite the fact that Boyce has played poorly as a WR and is the same height (5-11) as Edelman and Amendola, and several inches shorter than Collie. Also, Edelman has played almost exclusively as an outside flanker this season and has been great.

New England sports writer, Hector Longo, has relentlessly dumped on Edelman for years. Some of it was warranted, of course. Way back on September 9[SUP]th[/SUP], Longo wrote this scathing comment about Julian's chances to “deliver against real teams” and remain healthy for the entire season…

Some re-occurring good news today, Austin Collie, who is being given the Ross Ventrone treatment, has been re-signed while supa Josh Boyce was put on IR. This is excellent news as it probably means that he will stay on the roster for the duration of the Pats playoff run. Maybe we can see the triple-saltine WR with a side of TE formation again.

With this recent roster move, New England has 24 whites, 26 blacks, and 3 Polynesians.
Boyce was placed on IR due to an ankle injury (suffered against the Dolphins) and flanker Aaron Dobson re-injured his foot against the Bills last week and hasn’t practiced. If Dobson can’t play next weekend, the only non-white Patriot receiver will be Thompkins, who has barely even been active in the second half of the season.
For whatever reason, I keep envisioning Collie having a big contribution for the Patriots in a time of great need. I hope I’m right, if only to humiliate “Rabbi” Bob Kravitz (Casteon “Indianapolis Star” journalist), who urged Collie to retire in his countless imbecilic articles. Collie’s last meaningful contributions were a 15 yard catch and a critical 4[SUP]th[/SUP] down catch to set up the winning TD against the Saints…

I agree with your sentiments.
Let me present an unlikely but remotely possible scenario. If next year, the Patriots were to resign Edelman and bring back Collie into camp, they would join Amendola, T.J. Moe (who was retained through a "medical redshirt" year) and Sam McGuffie (who was signed to the practice squad before seasons end). Couple these guys with Gronkowski and possibly Mulligan, Develin or any other White tight ends or fullbacks brought to camp and the Pats could have the Whitest array of skill players in the modern era.
Seeing how accommodating all these players would be impossible, this would be my "dream scenario". Edelman, now "established", takes big free agent money to become another team's unquestioned #1 or #2 receiver. Preferably this team would have a good White quarterback. Amendola would primarily play in the slot but would often shift to the outside so T.J. Moe, the new "slot man", could get plenty of reps too. Austin Collie, fully healthy, returns to form to play the other outside receiver roll (at least in a rotation with Dobson or Tompkins). Finally, Sam McGuffie would be returned to running back or 3rd down slot back. He could become Danny Woodhead 2.0 which would hopefully spell the end for the "talents" of Ridley or Bolden.

That is weird listing Austin Collie a player over 6 feet tall as a "smurf," it's almost like he doesn't know what he's talking about and is just regurgitating common invective that has been hurled at the Patriots receiving corps + rb/wr the last few years when they had Wes Welker and Danny Woodhead. But then again as a professional pundit he has to have some competence and understanding, right?
