is the black talent pool really decreasing? or are we finally seeing it for what it is? 12 to 13 percent of the population trying to fare against Whites who have been playing football this entire time and have finally broken through a little bit more at caste positions
I think with the internet and more awareness Whites are getting more exposure, even though many are still getting screwed over, I think its harder to deny their presence, and more are slipping through and getting chances, even if it is a small few compared to our population.
Its easier for White high school players to independently promote themselves by putting out youtube videos etc. I mean even though Sam McGuffie got screwed over in the long run, I don't think he would have been recruited to Michigan and various other schools.
back when it was all black receivers going against all black secondaries, black rbs and tight ends going against mostly black linebackers, in what way could you measure the talent level? Just think about when Brian Urlacher came out, people were amazed, he was a hybrid s/lb in college, and in the Tampa 2, he basically was the same thing, a mlb that lined up a little deeper than usual to cover as well as play the run, he was a force to be reckoned with in the passing game as well as the run and offenses had to rethink of how to exploit it,
imo more White tight ends! and then later on slot receivers and then in turn finding more White players like Urlacher or just hybrid s/lb in general. Thats how it should of played out, we have many versatile guys that can be hybrid players and the game should have evolved to have more of these types on both sides of the ball. We have a few but it hasn't gone like it should have. Cooper Taylor is a big safety that could be a hybrid linebacker/safety sitting on the bench. We have pass rushers that can also drop back and cover runningbacks and tight ends that don't see the field.
I remember some dark years that took my interest away from watching football, at the time I couldn't put my finger on why I wasn't interested in watching it and just playing it, but it wasn't until the 2007 LSU Tigers with Hester and Steltz that I got back into it.
as far as the Patriots defense, whatever happened to Bellicheck being a defensive guru? is he really a coaching genius? (hes great but is he really at the level people think he is) or has he benefited from using, cheap, underrated White players (back when the defense was good they had more White players if I recall on defense, little on offense, and Brady was not putting anywhere near the stats he is now).
Perhaps Kraft is going along with this because it produces wins, he still gets to be cheap, not offering Welker what he deserved, I guess figuring there are a bunch of White slot receivers out there. The guys they have are close in talent level but Welker is on another level imo. Perhaps the mistake was paying Hernandez the big contract.
but the Patriots really changed the league, they were the first to run the spread, 4 receiver sets for a majority of the game. Black dbs struggle playing the nickel, corners are used to using the sideline as a boundary, and the rise of using tight ends more as receivers, although this started a little further back with the Giants back when Sean Payton was the coordinator with Jeremy Shockey. His targets and passing numbers went down after that, but there was Witten and a few others as well. Although with the rise of more pass heavy teams we have seen a decline in the White battering ram fullback. It would make sense to use more White powerbacks like a Zach Line for SMU, have teams spread out with 5 or 6 dbs and have a big guy like that coming at them. The Pats have tried this with Blount but he is non factor in the passing game, which is why they should have picked up Gerhart.
As far as the defense, the corners are going to have to at least cover their guys for at least 2 seconds to allow some pressure and fluster opposing qbs.
Look at the gameplan for Seahawks defense, those corners are like 6'3 with like 4.6+ speed that are physical at the line of scrimmage that disrupt the timing which pretty much every offense relies on. We have tons of guys like that, some playing safety in the league right now like Chris Conte.
