Here are you white starters for coach Mike London and the Virginia Cavaliers. The Wahoos have gotten much better under Mike London, but they could take a step back this year. Since '05, Virginia has started 4, 8, 8, 8, 9, 8, and 10 whites starting. It looks like Virginia has back down to a more comfortable 9 white starters for them. Wouldn't want to be branded as racists or anything. Virginia's nine white starters rank as one of the higher numbers in the coal black ACC. Virginia's defense carried the team last year, this year, the offense will have to step up if Virginia hopes to improve this year.

Well, some good news for Virginia. QB Michael Rocco has held off an unexpected challenge from Alabama QB Philip Sims, and Rocco played great in his first game.

Also, Brent Urban now starts at DT for Virginia, giving the Cavaliers 10 white starters again this year .

Paul Freedman is now a co-starter with Colter Phillips at TE.

Luke Bowanko is the starting C now.
Sean Cascarano is the starting RG.
Conner Davis starts at LG.

Overall, Virginia will gain one white starter!

Coach London has decided to go with his homeboy Sims as the starter. I hope Virginia and their AA hire continue to stink.

Rocco requested his transfer today giving the black quarterback Sims the job next year. ACC is one of the blackest QB conferences

Guess what though? Sims couldn't hack it at a school with serious academic pretensions. Shame on Virginia for compromising its standards for the sake of political correctness and the dream of post-season action. But really, who could have guessed that this wasn't a future PhD in comparative lit? Not to mention someone who would actually attend some classes.

With Sims @ QB, and Mike London.. I think UVa was trying to caste-out.
I remember about 10-15 years ago, when their mascot was cast(e) away.

I always figured they dumped the Cavalier's face, because he was too asthetically European. It wasn't inclusive enough for the modern PC standard of inclusiveness (?) Now they use the generic, impersonal 'V' with crossed sabres. who knows..
