oh man that sucks Connor Dixon is with Pittsburgh, hes not a qb he is a wide receiver now. He originally played qb at Michigan St but injured his throwing shoulder, he ran a 4.4 at his pro day at 6'5 220 pounds. He had about 800+ yards on around 40 catches last season with a qb that liked to run and not too strong of an arm. He chose one of the worst teams to go to.

Former Iowa linebacker Tyler Nielsen goes undrafted due to injury history; agrees to terms with the Minnesota Vikings.

He should have been a mid round selection with his size, tape, and measurables..

Guard Lucas Nix from Pitt signed with Oakland, DT Chas Alecxih signed with Dolphins, LB Max Gruder with the Falcons.

Penn State SS Nick Sukay signs with Bills.

NFL Draft 2012: Giants sign former Rutgers fullback Joe Martinek

Saed Hindash/The Star-LedgerThe Giants signed Joe Martinek as an undrafted free agent.
The Giants signed 10 undrafted free agents immediately following the conclusion of the draft and one of them is Rutgers fullback Joe Martinek, who tweeted the news. Giants director of college scouting Marc Ross confirmed the signing. The 6-foot, 224-pounder ran a 4.5 40-yard-dash at Rutgers' pro day after catching 27 passes for 262 yards and a touchdown in addition to 24 rushes for 123 yards in 2011

"We had him at the local day," Ross said. "We’ve been to tons of Rutgers games. He’s just a gritty, hard-nosed football player. He’s played fullback, he’s played running back, done whatever they asked. He worked out really well. Can really catch the ball. A guy you can throw in at any position there in the backfield and he’ll not miss a beat."

Austin Davis signed with the Rams.

Since they didn't draft a quarterback and didn't sign any other FA QBs, that actually puts him in a pretty good position. Better than Cousins, probably.

I like the Austin Davis to the Rams. I believe he was a "combine arm" much like Yates last year. I am also happy the Redskins got Cousins though. He is a talented QB and has strong leadership qualities and IMO will give Griffin a run for his money at some point.

I still don't understand how Matt Reynolds and Mike Brewster weren't drafted. At least they have been picked up.
Anybody hear anything about JJ Di Luigi or Johnathan Hernandez? At one point around the combines they were the two highest rated White tailback prospects.

DiLuigi hasn't signed and he likely isn't even trying.
He's currently on his honeymoon.

UMass has been reporting on their signees. Five have signed, but Hernandez wasn't among them.

It also seems that Brock Jackolski will go unsigned (and he is trying to land a free agent contract).

4 players from the Cincinnati Bearcats' were drafted (2 on defense). It's inexplicable that all those NFL team scouts that were viewing footage of their defense "failed to spot" the talented J.K. Schaffer.

Here's a list of Cinci's draftable players, showing the 4 players that got drafted and those that did not: http://insider.espn.go.com/nfl/draf...m/nfl/draft/schools?id=2129&_slug_=cincinnati

http://www.cbssports.com/nfl/draft/players/1673587

Not sure how he is the "431st overall prospect" when this info is presented right on his page... (btw, linebackers are way too devalued)

12/31/2011 - PLAYERS TO WATCH: LB J.K. Schaffer is the emotional leader of Cincinnati's defense and its top playmaker. The Big East Conference's active leader in tackles, Shaffer has recorded 100 or more tackles in three consecutive seasons, only the fifth Cincinnati player to accomplish the feat. - The Sports Xchange

Packers sign NT Randy Colling and DE Drew Vanderlin who draftdaddy compared to a D2 JJ Watt type player.

JK Schaeffer,Joe Holland, Noah Keller,Brian Hendricks and Andrew Sweat were all huge snubs at LB..

Anybody hear about Joe Suhey? I would love for him to compete for a roster spot. If Hatie wasn't the Bears coach a training camp invite would be logical....

I'm shocked and saddened that Bo Levi Mitchell hasn't been able to sign a FA deal.

6'2", 210lbs.
National Championship Winning MVP QB
7,505 yds (61%) 70TD 28INT in 2 seasons
He broke EWU's record for single season passing yards with 4,009, which ranks 17th in FCS history and fifth in Big Sky Conference history. Mitchell went on to win the Walter Payton Award as the best offensive player in the FCS and was also named the 2011 Big Sky Conference Offensive Player of the Year. Mitchell was also named to seven All-America teams this past season, earning first team honors on six of them. He was the top quarterback on teams selected by The Sports Network, American Football Coaches Association, Walter Camp, Associated Press, Phil Steele Publications and Beyond Sports College Network.[SUP][5][/SUP]

Exactly how many championships did 4'2" Russell Wilson win?

I'll be rooting for Martinek as much as any of our FA underdogs. Brian Leonard was treated great by the NFL compared to Joe.

Thanks truthteller, I had been checking Wofford's site for any news on potential UFA's, but went to bed a little early. Bersin has good size and speed at 6'4. Also, amazing he's getting a look considering Wofford is a predominately run offense. Good for him! Bersin grew up in Charlotte.

Look for their; Wofford's RB/FB Eric Breitenstein to either be drafted or sign a UFA deal after next season. He has led The SoCon in rushing each of the last 2 years and is a D-1AA All-American!

Arizona WR David Douglas to NY Giants

Any word on DB Brian Peters from Northwestern??

DE Zach Nash Sacramento State to Cardinals

Hopefully Shoemaker does not get the Chas Guessner treatment in Tampa...tear it up in pre-season..then bounce around practice squad

I've been googling some of the names on the transactions lists when I get some time. Found one from Wofford last night. Today, found a 6' 6", 215 pound WR from Sacramento State, Chase Deadder, who signed with Tennessee. Considering no one on this site has even heard of him, I doubt he has much of a chance to make it...but here's the link. Hope he surprises all and becomes another Drew Bennett:

LB Austin Johnson; Tennessee. 6'2, 240lbs. To the Baltimore Ravens.

Led UT in tackles, 81 and had 4 INT's. The most INT's by a UT linebacker since 1970!

Eric Mangini just said on ESPN his favorite UDFA he's ever signed was Danny Woodhead! Very complementary of Danny noting that a couple years later he was playing in a Super Bowl.

As for Johnson I feel he's been very underrated this whole draft process. A while back I read an article comparing him to another white LB Nick Reveiz who was asked to switch to FB once he entered the NFL. So ridiculous he put those numbers up in the Nation's "best conference" so why can't he get some respect?
