2012 Texas Tech Red Raiders

Here are your starting White Raiders for Tommy Tuberville this year. I believe this is just a one year blip as Tuberville continues to darken Tech down from what Mike Leach had, especially as he eliminates the spread, and with it, Tech's white WRs. Don't expect to see all of these guys on the field at once, as when Torres and Zouzalik are in, Ontiveros and Amaro will most likely be out. FS Cody Davis is the defense's best player, having to make a ton of tackles last year to make up for a terrible front seven. Since 2006, Texas Tech has started 7, 9, 8, 10, 7, and 8 white starters. It looks like it will be 8 again this year, maybe higher if DE Jackson Richards and MLB Blake Dees can get back into the starting lineup.

Some White Raider reserves to look out for are QB Michael Brewer, RG Kyle Clark, RT Matt Wilson, DE Jackson Richards, and MLB Blake Dees. As long as Texas Tech spreads the field again this year, look for Seth Doege to put up some huge numbers this year.

Tech hires Texas A&M OC, Kliff Kingsbury:

He made some great calls as A&M's OC. With the loss of A&M's two (White) tackles to the NFL and Kingsbury to Texas Tech, it will be interesting to see how Manziel is affected by this.

I'm hoping Kliff will be fair to White players at Tech.

I hope the same regarding Kingsbury - he was a player a short time ago so he has to know the obvious racial bias that exists. Knowing his background - playing under Leach I think he will be one of those coaches that recruits white qbs.
