Rice's white starter history is as follows, 2005 14, 2006 8, 2007 10,
2008 11, 2009 10, 2010 12. Those are real solid numbers for a team in the border south area. Rice has potential to start 14 white athletes! This team needs to produce. RB Turner Petersen should see some solid playing time.

As insane as it sounds, my source has Sam McGuffie possibly playing slot WR this season and a black RB as the starter. I hope that is wrong.

The senior’s versatility will be on full display this fall, as he makes the move from running back to wide receiver. He’ll be looking to rebound from an injury-riddled junior year, lining up in the slot, spreading out wide and taking the occasional handoff.

Rice's depth chart during the spring (according to Rivals depth chart) does indeed have Sam McGuffie at WR, but it also has white RB Turner Peterson starting at RB too.

The source I was talking about was Phil Steele, and he has Charles Ross listed as the starting RB, followed by Turner Peterson.

I figured it would be Phil Steele, as I also use him as one of my main sources of information. :) I just noticed the difference on Rice's rival's depth chart, so that's why I posted it.

When I get conflicting information like that from two different sources, I will always have that white player listed as in a fight for his position.
