Here are Minnesota's projected white starters for 2012 season under 2nd year coach Jerry Kill. Since 2005, Minnesota has started 11, 9, 10, 8, 10, and 8 white starters. If whites win their position battles, Minnesota could have as many as 11 white starters this year, but more than likely, it will be 10 or 9. QB Max Shortell should get some meaningful reps again this year; Marqueis Gray can't seem to hit any of his recievers, even if they are running wide open.
Reserve white Golden Gophers to look out for are TE John Rabe, LT Mark Lenkiewicz, LG Kyle McAvoy, C Caleb Bak, RG Josh Campion, DE Matt Garin, MLB Ryan Grant, and SS Grayson Levin. Kill seems like he's recruiting a few more white players to Minneapolis than Tim Brewster did, but time will tell to see if Minnesota will whiten up a little more.
Offense
QB- Max Shortell
FB- John Rabe
WR(Z)- Isaac Fruechte
TE(Y)- Drew Goodger
LT- Ed Olson
LG- Tommy Olson
C- Zac Epping
RG- Caleb Bak
RT- Josh Campion
Defense
DT Cameron Botticelli
MLB- Mike Rallis
