I was going by Highlander's numbers. ZZ Top may indeed have the magical four digit number in his stat-line now.
I was going by what BSPN had on his profile just before overtime started, when they had him for 170 yards for the day and 821 on the season. Then he got 6 yards in OT. Maybe that BSPN page has a certain delay to it. That'd be awesome if he officially got 1000.

Speaking of "ZZ", Zach Zenner ran for 295 yards today with 3 Touchdowns in South Dakota State's FCS playoff victory against Eastern Illinois today. That gives him back the lead over Maysonet of Stony Brook, who only had 160 yards today.

Erik Lora had 12 catches for 133 yards in a losing effort for EIU.

i mentioned this performance in Zach's thread. what makes the numbers even more impressive, as if that's needed, is that ZZ Tops barely played in the second half. it was a blowout win, and he had all 3 touchdowns and approximately 234 yards at halftime. it was an AWESOME performance.

anyone who is interested can see the replay on ESPN3.

Brent Leonard with 13 catches for 98 yards, including the TD grab that won the game in overtime for Louisiana-Monroe over Florida International.

Zwinak hit the 1000 yard mark exactly yesterday. Weisman finished with 815 yds - hopefully both these guys are going to be the unquestioned starting RBs for PSU and Iowa respectively going into next season

If Ferentz is fired, there is no way a new coach will allow Weisman to carry the ball.

Burkhead in the April draft

Oh my gosh....the announcers for the Iowa/Nebraska game are going to have to be sent off to reeducation camp. Referring to Rex Burkhead: "will have a spectacular NFL career", "very athlectic", after catching a pass and making a move "that's why I think he will have a wonderful NFL career, he can do so many things", "as good as Abdullah has been while Burkhead was hurt you can see how the Nebraska running game is just better with Burkhead in the lineup", "Burkhead would have been a serious Heisman candidate had he not been hurt"........unbelievable stuff.

I believe that given Rex's SR season and his injuries that he will be a 3rd or 4th round "sleeper" pick that the Patriots have used to build their team. I also can forsee Rex going to the combine and being a standout which may elevate his draft status, but given his skin pigment, he will still be a long-shot to get into the first 2 rounds.

I don't think the Patriots will draft Burkhead. They have drafted a few mediocre black RBs in the past couple years that take away carries from Woodhead. McWigger seems happy with his stable of negro RBs

Jordan Lynch finished the regular season with 1,611 rushing yards. That makes him #4 in the nation, currently. However, Nevada still has one game remaining (against Boise) and Stefphon Jefferson is only 57 yards behind Lynch. But NIU will also get to play the MAC championship game. I would consider Lynch's 13 games equivalent to Nevada's 12 games because NIU was so dominant that coach Doeren "called off the dogs" in close to half their games and Lynch's numbers froze (he could've rushed for 300 yards against UMass). Jefferson, on the other hand, was never yanked off the field. Not even in Nevada's blowout victory over Hawaii (31 carries).

Thank goodness for Notre Dame's victory, as I think that saved us from an all SEC championship game. Its too bad Ohio St was on probation as they would have been in the running for the NC game as well, and in spite of their black QB, they have a fairly white team.

Great win for the Irish. The goal line stand at the end of the game was epic. However any media attention on the team will be a) poly Manti T'eo and b) affelete Everett Golston.

I wouldn't be surprised to see them get way down early against whatever SEC team they play in the Championship Game and have to go to Tommy Rees late in the game. It would be nice to see Rees pull it out.
