The Cardinals two current starters are black. Maybe that's why the Cardinals won't give Potter a chance. Potter is white.
The Cardinals have had terrible ownership -- the Bidwell family -- dating back to their days in St. Louis. For about a decade now, they've also had a black GM who doesn't seem to have much need for whites. Matter of fact, several years ago (during the Dennis Green era) they not only had an entire draft class that was black (at least 6 or 7 picks), their undrafted rookies were also all black -- that was at least 12 to 15 players.
My guess is their GM will not allow much more than 3 to 5 white starters at once. And the few whites he allows all have to come at whitey friendly slots -- QB, OC/C, TE, Blocking fullback. Which is not bad, considering they only had 1 or 2 white starters at times in the last decade. Think about it, when is the last time the Cardinals had a "entrenched starter" at WR? When is the last time they had a "entrenched starter" on defense at any position? Might have to go back at least a decade, to a young Kyle Vanden Bosch and the safety from ASU that was murdered by friendly fire while defending Israel, in our current Neo-con war.
I know Arizona has a significant Mexican population, but the number of blacks in the state has be fairly small -- perhaps less than 5% of the population? Even with that, I think their black supremacist GM knows that as long as he has a white quarterback, enough retarded crackers will come up and support the team in a nice, new stadium. Even in a state that's supposed be a bastion of conservatism and is even deemed "racist" by CNBC types because their female governor wants to rid the illegals, who are in the state "illegally".
Overall, the Cards have been terrible during this GM's tenure. But because they played in the Super Bowl in January of 2009 , I pretty much think he's "untouchable" -- absolutely can't be fired.
