2012-2013 Minnesota Timberwolves

Minnesota is up by 28 points over Oklahoma at the end of the 3rd quarter. This is fun to watch. Kevin Durant and the rest of the Thunder Team are just speechless. LMAO. This team is only going to get better and better as they continue to build chemistry. Kevin Love is having another monster game. MVP Love has a nice ring to it.

Gonna watch the Suns vs Jazz Game later.

Yes, David Kahn built this team already into a very young, but already 8th best team in the west two years ago before all the injuries hit. He was a pretty good GM although he did make a few missteps like giving up on Corey Brewer too early- who is now back with the team. Flip Saunders has done a pretty good job as a GM bringing in Kevin Martin and Corey Brewer (who will probably get almost as much playing time as Budinger as Budinger's backup once Bud returns) and also Gorgui Deng and Turiaf as defensive depth players. Still, the majority of the success this team will have this year will be attributed to Kahn who took the fall for the injuries the last two seasons. I still think the T-wolves would have really helped themselves by bringing in Rotnei Clarke or Jordan Hulls as a good wing passing/ jump shooting specialist. This team has struggled with 3 point shooting and needs all the help they can get. Other than this one misstep Flip Saunders has done a good job though, but hopefully Kahn will be redeemed in the hearts of fans once they see the T-wolves get the 5th seed this season and maybe shock the world and get to the finals. Go T-Wolves!

Yes, I know that Rotnei Clarke can take the ball to the hoop too- as he is an athletic penetrator. Still, with the T-wolves his role would have been as a shooting specialist and wing passer this year as an 8th or 9th man.

I'm not sold on Brewer. He has not impressed me much in preseason or in the first couple of games. I do think Martin was a good pickup though. I would like to see Robbie Hummel get some more minutes. He can really shoot the ball and also has great passing skills. They are going to be a tough matchup for anyone to beat. Especially with Love demanding double teams alot of the time. Rubio is a special player too. His athletecism is above average and his ability to steal the ball in next to none. He has nice size for a pg at 6'3 too. By far my favorite team. The sky is the limit. Nice game by Pekovic tonight too.

I agree WL on brewer. I saw him play in denver the last couple of years and was far too streaky and erratic to be a starter

He usually just pulls a Kobe Bryant and hucks up a lot of shots so when he hits double digits it looks like he contributed

I am with you that Budinger is better than Brewer, but not by a huge margin. I think Bud getting 28 mins a game and Brewer about 20 would be perfect. That's what I would do if I were Rick Adelman. Budinger needs to keep his knees fresh when he comes back as it appears he is starting to have cartilage issues.

The Twolves are killing the Knicks. It's half time and they have a 16 point lead. Kevin Love is incredible. I cannot say that enough. All he has done in the first half is score 18 points, pull down 7 rebounds and dish out 3 assists along with playing solid defense. If there is a better player in all of basketball, I don't know who it is? Not Kobe. Too Old. Carmello is a ball hog and doesn't rebound very good. Lebron would be the only one that is at a high level but I would still take Kevin Love anyday.

As a team, the Twolves look sensational. If you guys haven't watched them yet, try to catch a game. They are destroying playoff teams and are still undefeated. Hope they can continue playing at a high level. Even Ricky Rubio is averaging almost 14 points a game and 10.5 assists. He is 3rd in the nba is assists and sure to move up higher as the season goes on . Now if we can only get Chase back. He will make them even better. Let's go Timberwolves!

Yeah WL, Minnesota was the only team I could bare to watch last season. Nice update on the game. It goes without saying, but it would be nice to see them make a deep playoff run this season!

The Minnesota Timberwolves are no 3-0 beating the Knicks by a score of 109-100. As usual the leagues best player dominated from the start. Kevin Love had 34 points and 15 rebounds! I am pumped about the way this team is playing. They beat the Thunder and Knicks in back to back games and did it in splendid fashion. They are earning respect. This would have happened last year if not for the injuries. All I ask for is that they stay healthy. We catch so many bad breaks. This team can compete with anyone in my opinion. Especially when Chase is back. They will be a top 5 team in the nba. The Twolves are that good. Keep it rolling guys!

Despite losing the 2nd game on back to back nights on the road in Los Angeles, the Twolves are playing fantastic basketball. They lost one game by 1 point and this last game by 2 points. Other than that they have been beating playoff teams night in and night out. Kevin Love is the front runner for MVP so far. Yes it's early but the Timberwolves are really developing some serious chemistry. Kevin Love, Pekovic, Rubio and Martin have all been very good thus far. Rubio does need to get his scoring up but he brings so much to the table. His defense is as good as any point guard in the nba.

I would like to see Sved get some more minutes and regain his confidence of last season. Chase Budinger should be back in December so things are going to get even better with his scoring, passing and defense. Mark my words. One mission. Playoffs.

I can't believe my eyes and ears; ESPN is actually giving Rubio, Love, et al a ton of hype and respect during Sportscenter almost every night this past week. They're previewing a game between them and the Kings and all the highlights feature Love and Rubio, the announcer refers to them as the exciting T-Wolves...don't pinch me!

I wouldn't be too happy about ESPN giving Love and Rubio props. They're both in Caste approved positions. Think of it like ESPN giving Peyton Manning or Kuechly praise. Whites are allowed to succeed at linebacker and as pocket passing quarterbacks in the NFL. And in the NBA they're allowed to succeed as big men. They're also allowed to succeed as unathletic wings like Kyle Korver. Foreign players especially are allowed to have success at almost all positions except as athletic wings and score first point guards. The DWF don't really see the foreign players as being "White" in the same sense the DWF sees himself.

Whites are not allowed to succeed as dynamic scorers such as LeBron James, Durant, Carmelo, etc or athletic scoring point guards like Chris Paul, Derrick Rose, Westbrook, Irving, etc. Incidentally those are the players that young White kids want to be like. They're the most popular players.

So why aren't there any White players that can compare with those players above ? After learning about all the amazing White athletes in the NFL and college there isn't a doubt in my mind that White Kyrie Irvings or Kevin Durants exist out there. They're just completely shut out.

Robbie Hummel started the game last night for the T-Wolves scoring two early three pointers that helped set the tone of the game.
With Martin out Hummel started at the 3 with Brewer moving to the 2. Hummel has lost a considerable amount of athleticism due to two ACL injuries. It speaks volumes to his ability that he still managed to make an NBA roster.
I think when Martin returns they should keep Hummel in the starting line up allowing Martin to be the guy whenever Love goes to the bench. The Manu role if you will.
Although the wolves have been exemplary so far this year; in an 82 game season you need a bench. And so far the bench has struggled mightily. Shved is trying too hard to not make mistakes instead of just playing the game. He is a step slow reacting compared to last year. The kid can play, I think he may be better served somewhere other then the T-Wolves. They look great so far! Go Wolves.

I like Hummel. He is not as athletic as Budinger, but I think he is a better player with a better all around game. I'm interested to see how he does given all his injuries.
The T'Wolves need a strong bench to make the playoffs and do well there, and maybe Hummel and Barea can be the guys they count on.
Shved, for some reason is terrible this year, after doing well last year. He's only shooting 20% from the field. They need better from him, especially since Rubio is not a scorer.

The Minnesota Timbewolves will be playing 5 games in the next week. Wow that is quite a load. I've never heard of that many games in such a short time period. I hope they stay injury free and can at least win 3 of the 5. Keeping my fingers crossed. Here is a quick article and it talks a little about Chase Budinger and his recovery. He is gettiing closer to a return in the next month or so. Can't wait to see him back on the court as Minnesota needs more scoring, defense and especially outside shooting!

There are rumors have the Sac.Kings being interested in a trade for Derrick Williams. I wonder if they would consider going after Jimmer in a trade. That would be awesome but I won't hold my breath. Can you imagine this team with Jimmer and then Chase back soon? Wow would that be fun. The only problem is there isn't enough shots in the game for all the stars.

I'm not sure Jimmer going to T'Wolves would be worthwhile.
3 of their 4 guards are already white.
I wouldn't want him to replace Rubio.
Meanwhile Kevin Martin is averaging 24 pts/game, so they won't sit him for Jimmer.
So he would only be taking bench time from Alex Shved or JJ Barea.
Not much of a benefit for either party......

Disappointing loss by the Timberwolves 104-100. After being up by 12 at the half, Minnesota couldn't close the deal.

Love came out of the gate with 17 first half points, only to finish with 25 points and 11 rebounds. Not bad, but both stats are below his average.

Pekovic 13/6, below his average for points and rebounds also.

After beginning with 5 points in the first 5 minutes, Rubio finishes with only 10 points, but had 5 rebounds.

The T'Wolves are really slipping.
They've lost 5 of their last 6 games. Tonight they lost to Denver.
Their starters all scored in double figures, including Ricky Rubio with 17pts!
It's their bench that is a problem - only 10pts.
In the previous 2 games the bench scored just 12pts.
They need Budinger back quickly...

Very true. They have been careless with the basketball too. Way too many turnovers combined with a low shooting percentage. They did trade Derrick Williams to the Kings but got a scrub in return. I still think Jimmer could help this team. They have to shoot more threes at a higher percentage. They really miss having a shot blocker too. They had two or three last year and all three white shot blockers are gone. Now the defense suffers even more.
