Here's an article titles "Brady would welcome back Moss with open arms". Charming. A couple of nice excerpts from the article;

"You never know in the NFL," Brady said on the Dennis & Callahan show, according to the Boston Herald. "I love Randy, he's one of the greatest receivers in the history of the game, one of the greatest players I've had a chance to play with. But unfortunately, I don't make personnel decisions. If I did, I'd still have all my friends here — Troy (Brown), David Patten(notes), Deion (Branch)would have never left. I've seen so many guys move on, some come back."

"I don't know (if he'll play again)," Brady said. "Who knows? I can't get into his brain. I love the guy, he's a great friend of mine, and if he ever did come back and play, I'd welcome him with open arms."

they got Gronk a brother! Pats just signed Dan.

There have been several positive developments in New England as of late. The Patriots have released CB Darius Butler, a former second round bust (with some of the worst coverage skills in the NFL), to make room for former Broncos TE, Dan Gronkowski, as well as former Dolphins LB, AJ Edds. Assuming there are no further roster adjustments prior to their 9/11 opener, New England will feature 23 whites on their opening day roster…

OFFENSE: Tom Brady, Brian Hoyer, Ryan Mallett, Danny Woodhead, Rob Gronkowski, Dan Gronkowski, Wes Welker, Julian Edelman, Nate Solder, Dan Connolly, Dan Koppen, Matt Light, Logan Mankins, Sebastian Vollmer, and Ryan Wendell.

DEFENSE: Mike Wright, Rob Ninkovich, Dane Fletcher, Jeff Tarpinian, and AJ Edds.

SPECIALISTS: Danny Aiken, Stephen Gostowski, and Zoltan Mesko.

Unfortunately, the Patriots also signed the “venerableâ€￾ black guard, Brian Waters, who, like all black lineman who exhibit any potential whatsoever, was undeservedly voted to multiple pro-bowls. Waters may or may not start over right guard, Dan Connolly.

Another possibility is if the Patriots choose to move one of their left tackles (Light or Solder) to right guard, in which case the offensive line could once again feature five white starters.

The Brian Waters signing is mystifying to me. I'll give Waters his due, in his prime he was a very good LG for the Chiefs, and was for years the strongest player on the team (according to the trainers that I know) and was the best pulling guard for the Chiefs. But the last three years he (like most blacks) has seen a precipitous decline in his skills to the point that he was THE liability in the Chiefs' line the last two years.

The player who he replaces on the Patriots' roster? Steve Maneri. Maneri played for Temple as a collegian. He is "raw" as NFL-types like to say, but is a great physical specimen, the anti-sumo at 6'6" and 290 pounds. The Chiefs have been slapping backs and high-fiving after picking him up off of the waiver wire. Here is his college profile, with his accomplishments. I can't wait to see him replace big, fat, slow, Barry Richardson at RT over the course of the season.

Edit: I forgot to mention that he played tight end at Temple, and is converted to the line. The Chiefs plan to use him as a hybrid TE/T on power formations as well.

Do the Patriots have an official fullback on the roster? I saw ESPN had Woodhead listed as the fullback on their depth chart a few days ago. Obviously that was a mistake(useless intern who barely knows football did that). I know Kettani was trying to make the team as a fullback, but the Patriots list him as a generic running back?

Most likely TE Dan Gronkowski will play the traditional "blocking fullback" role. Former Navy RB, Erik Kettani, made the practice squad along with white safety, Ross Ventrone.

The Patriots have not made any further roster moves...so 23 whites on the opening day roster seems accurate.

Thrashen, thanks for mentioning the younger Ventrone. his (and that of his older brother Ross) story is typical of how much White athletes are forced to endure in order to pursue their football dreams.

i think i'd like to get to know the Ventrone family ... two brothers (Ross is the requisite WSTD for the Cleveland Browns) who both started out their collegiate careers as walk-ons, went on to dominate and earn scholarships (and numerous honors), and then followed that up with a similar disrespected scenario in the NFL. fortunately, they both have persevered.

i bet they'd have some illuminating stories to share.

Bad news for Hernandez and New England, good news for Gronkowski, Welker and Woodhead.

Comcast SportsNet New England is hearing that Aaron Hernandez's MCL sprain could cost him upwards of 4-6 weeks, longer than the Boston Globe's original estimate of 1-2 weeks. CSNNE beat writer Tom Curran says the injury could sideline Hernandez "for at least a month" and "as long as six weeks." The Patriots don't discuss injury situations with the public, so Hernandez's precise return timetable is going to be a guessing game for awhile. In the meantime, Rob Gronkowski could push to become the top tight end in all of fantasy football.

Did anybody else find Tedy Bruschi's criticism of Ochocinco to be ridiculous? Ocho's tweet was lame and typical pro-team stuff, rather unusual for a diva like him. It's like Bruschi was upset by "his" team's offensive explosion or something. Could it be he was lambasting Ocho in an effort to force the team to feed this loud primadonna the ball? Was he really just angry at Brady spreading the ball around to so many "white boys?"

Bigunreal, you are the only member on this site that can turn something so crystal clear into something else. He didn't like the fact that Ochostino put no effort in, plain and simple.

What's puzzling about it? Bruschi's criticism had nothing to do with what Ocho posted. He actually was being very team-oriented, which is of course unlike him. Do you really think Bruschi lit into this diva because he was upset over his supposed lack of effort? He wasn't on the field all that much, and clearly isn't one of their top WRs.

Nope, I think it's more likely than Bruschi and ex-Patriots like Rodney Harrison are mad that one of the league's ultimate "affletes" is simply not a significant part of the explosive Patriots offense. More importantly, this overhyped drama queen is taking a back seat to a bunch of "white boys."

I think they're all still upset about Welker's 99 yard TD.

The morning after the Miami game, OchoHomoCinco wrote the following on that inane, For-Gays-Only website, “Twitter”…

“Just waking up after a late arrival, I've never seen a machine operate like that n person, to see video game numbers put up n person was WOW.”

Tedy Bruschi responded with the following statement during a radio-based interview…

“Drop the awe factor…stop tweeting and get in your playbook. You're not someone who's on another team or watching TV. You're not an analyst. You're a part of it. They want you to be a part of it. So get with the program because obviously you're not getting it and you're tweeting because you're saying, 'It's amazing to see'? It's amazing to see because you don't understand it. You still don't understand it and it's amazing to you because you can't get it. Wake up! If you're just waking up now -- I don't know when this was, six minutes ago? -- get out your bed and get to the stadium and watch some film if you still think it's amazing. If you're in it and you know what you're doing and you execute out there, you don't think it's amazing. You know why? Because it's what you're supposed to do.”

I’m also perplexed as to Bruschi’s “motive,” especially when considering the fact that his customary intentions on “NFL Live” (and any other time he’s tasked with “anal-yzing” NFL football for the Corporate Media) is to belittle white athletes and to happily inhale the vapors emanating from the soiled jockstraps of black athletes.

As Bigunreal stated, Chad Johnson’s comment was generic, tame, and very congratulatory in nature. In all fairness, Johnson hasn’t had much time to practice with the Patriots offense due to the lockout. He also hasn’t exhibited his usual self-absorbed, attention-seeking, reality-show, drama-whore characteristics during his time in New England.

“Tedy the Wigger” was either attempting to “motivate” Johnson into assuming a black receiver’s “rightful place” atop the offensive pecking order, or he legitimately dislikes Johnson (the first black male Tedy has ever disliked, mind you) and couldn’t wait for an opportunity to belittle him. Either way, Tedy is far more loathsome than the pea-brained black child he was antagonizing.

“Caste Incarnate”…

I'm not usually completely in line on big's conspiracy theories, but the entire framework for this theory sounds like it could have merit. Never underestimate the true intentions of the CM BSPN media.

Bruschi is a former Patriot. Shouldn't he (at least quietly) be taking pride in just how ridiculously good the team that gave him so many opportunities is doing. And they are winning. Why should Ochocinco get more catches when the current formula is working? The opposing D can't forget about Ochocinco or he could explode with a huge game. The issue is that Welker is simply BETTER at beating one on one coverage, in fact he has been since he arrived in the league. Branch has always been one of the few black WRs along with Davone Bess (possibly Percy Harvin) who is underrated and already is set into an important role in the Patriots offense from last year. I wouldn't be surprised if loathsome Teddy is really trying to stir up the pot, because he doesn't like the only offense in the league that is close to fair to whites. Ochocinco's tweet was essentially what a great teammate should say, especially after such a dominant win. I sense possible ulterior motives from Bruschi here.

Gentlemen,

What's your take on Ross Ventrone? He's been brought up from the practice squad.

Eric Kattani left the team so that he could, drum roll please, go fight in some of our illegal, unconstitutional wars with the U.S. Navy! Hopefully he doesn't end up as the next Pat Tillman.

Here's the story. Why doesn't he just send Ochostinko instead? Of course, it's not all his fault, the Navy is refusing to grant him a leave request:

The Navy's letter denying his request read, in part:

"As our nation is at war, it is important to ensure we maintain our commitment to the nation's defense. As such, a release from active duty would be inconsistent with that effort.

I appreciate your Patriotism and service to our nation and encourage you to pursue your goal to play professional football after completion of your service in the Navy."

Hopefully Ridley will get stuffed. Hes been getting big gaping holes, plays that should have gone to Woodhead because once Ridley gets to the 2nd level he goes down on first contact, no shiftiness to make someone miss or the speed to break off a big run. He hasn't gotten the passing game down as well, when Woodhead came in and learned it after a week or two.

Interesting article about the constant waiving and re-signing of Ross Ventrone. I'm actually surprised to see a main-stream sports pundit pick up on this story.

Ross Ventrone(notes) is a second-year safety for the New England Patriots (sometimes), and his name gets in the newspaper a lot. It's not often because he made a play or attracted attention to himself off the field, and it's certainly never because the Patriots provided him a secure, long-term future.

No, Ross Ventrone is perpetually a part of the quick little roster notes that get hastily attached to a story about some real news. In his young career, Ventrone has already been waived (and re-signed!) by the Patriots no fewer than four times.

I wonder if they keep the same locker for him, or if he has to keep switching every time he comes back. I don't know if the Patriots really can't figure out if they want to employ Ross Ventrone, or if there's someone in the organization who just really likes screwing with him.

Nice find, FBD. I spotted Ventrone playing special teams against Dallas last week, which I believe is the first time he’s seen the field during the regular season. Former Iowa linebacker, Jeff Tarpinian (#53), also played special teams last week.

With the addition of these two players, New England now has 4 white defensive players on their roster (the other two being Ninkovich and Fletcher). Mike Wright is on IR.

Looks like Edelman is in trouble.
Patriots WR/KR Julian Edelman will be arraigned on charges of indecent assault and battery in Boston Municipal Court Tuesday.

Per the Boston Herald, Edelman allegedly "reached under" a woman's party costume and grabbed her between the legs while on the dance floor. The incident occurred in a Copley Square bar. Edelman has appeared in four games this season, catching three passes and serving as the Pats' primary return man when active. He was a healthy scratch in Week 8.

Edelman hasn’t been able to play football since the Raiders game (due to an ankle injury), so why is he healthy enough to be out “dirty dancing†and groping random women at parties?

It’s hard to believe that Edelman has been in the league for three whole seasons…simply because he’s only healthy for a handful of games each year. First it was an ankle injury, then he broke his forearm, then it was series of nagging leg injuries, now it’s his ankle, again.

If you ever look at the players listed on New England’s “inactive list†for each practice, Edelman’s name is featured around 95% of the time. In a league full of fragile black p-ssies, his proneness to injury is one of the most pathetic of all. The sad part is that despite his mediocre hands, he possesses all the skills to be a quality NFL receiver. It’s truly amazing that he hasn’t been cut ten times over, as even the most talented, fully healthy white receivers are pitilessly purged each year. This incident certainly didn’t help his already-dim chances of (finally) realizing his potential in the Patriots’ offense.

And for those who think there is a “double standard†in the way whites are punished by their teams for these kinds of incidents…well, there should be.

I didn't know he was totally White, everything I have read said he was jewish. Well at least half jewish, raised Christian but considers himself a jew.
