Gordon needs to put on a little weight, and CJ Miles was actually hitting jumpers for once last night. I think that's why he didn't play much in the second half. It may take a little while, but Gordon will be the shooting guard the Jazz have been lacking since Hornaceck retired.

I think Hayward will have to work his butt off if he wants to be on Hornacek's level. It may prove difficult when you have a scoring guard in Deron Williams, not mention guys like Miles, Watson, and Price. It's simply difficult for a white rookie like Hayward to excel on a veteran loaded team like the Jazz. Jerry Sloan is not known for developing rookies.

Raptors pull an amazing 120-116 comeback win over the Pistons. Bargnani had 22 points, Kleiza (26 & 11 last night) scores 11 points.

Gordon Heywardseemed to be off to a great start in the pre-season,but things quickly spiraled downward for him when Utah's weirdo mullatto prince, Deron Williams, went out of his way to humiliate him on the court in game 2on national TV. He hasn't recovered since and might be in a "hostile" setting due to just one malcontent who hates him.

First,DW fired a ball at him at close fairlyrange (which was an assist), then screamed at him in a very scary way when he hit the sidelines. You could tell Jerry Sloan, and most of the Jazz players, where horrified by the actions of their fat-faced "team leader", but that's the NBA, so Sloan shut up. I don't know why the good people of Utah payto watchclassless turds like Williams, anyway?

Williams did publicly apolagize a few day after, but was giggling the whole time, so I doubt he meant it. Here's a nice article looking back at it. Author thought the same thing I did -- Heyward is being picked due to the way he looks:

It's ironic that all Youtube got was 37 seconds, ESPN focused on Williams screaming for over 60 seconds. It was as ugly as I've ever seen between "teammates"....My guess is Williams, who was raised by a white skankfrom West Virginia, that was dumped by her inner-city imported hoops star 'boyfriend' right before whelping out this punk, is just jealous of Gordon and can't stand looking at him because he's smart, classy, comes from a good family -- two supportive parents, a pretty twin sister, ect.

Deron Williams acted so immature, tyrannic, and classless for a "team leader." Hayward is one of those rookies (white especially) who needs time to grow. Yelling or Hasting at him will NEVER help. That's why Darko Milicic took so long to grow, he endured so much psychological (some physical) punishments wherever he went. Hayward is enduring the same thing.

I dunno what Doug Collins has against Spencer Hawes, but he's finally allowing Hawes some big minutes. Spencer has scored 18 points back-to-back (both Sixer wins), he's played 24 & 34 minutes in those games. I hope those games allows Hawes more opportunities as the season goes.

This is a terrible blow for Asians and Asian-Americans alike. While I'm not a fan of either, it's unfortunate at the same time. It's already stirred crazy naysayers that Asian players (Yao and Yi) are "as brittle as porcelain." Asian players also help expose the Caste System. All the same, best of Luck to either. I'd agree. I think they need to scale back the NFL season to 14 games & college football to 10. These athletes are expected to perform at a high level & it can be taxing on the body. 80+ NBA games is over the top.

Mike Miller is coming back soon so the Heat will have 3 white players among their top six or seven guys.
Not bad. They could still use another sharp shooter off the bench like JJ Reddick or Kyle Korver.

In other news Dirk was Sports Illustrated online NBA MVP so far this season.
Manu is having a great year, and Pau is rolling. Look for all three to be in the running for the MVP award.
Better yet, one of those three could end up being the Finals MVP.

Rashard Lewis goes to Washington, while Vince Carter goes to Phoenix. Hedo Turkoglu goes back to Orlando, but the trade makes JJ Redick Orlando's designated starter at shooting guard. Turkoglu will resume at SF and try to regain the success he enjoyed in Orlando (especially in 2008-09 season).

Marcin Gortat joins Carter in Phoenix, he's likely the Suns' designated starting Center (unless they'd rather go with Robin Lopez or Hakim Warrick), but Gortat has greater experience (2009 Finals) than those two.

The question now remains, what becomes of poor Ryan Anderson??? He's benched for good for reasons only SVG can comprehend.

Overall, I like the trade, it makes Orlando my favorite team (CF Perspective) in the East. The trade also seems good for Phoenix (and for Nash).

I truly hope that Redick is finally given a chance to be the starting SG. JJ IS an upgrade over VC and will no doubt shine if he's given a fair chance. This trade does look like it will at the very least give JJ many more minutes a game.

They picked up Jason Richardson and Gilbert Arenas, so Reddick will be coming off the bench, I'm sure.

I'm glad Sasha Vujacic is no longer in LA (traded to New Jersey), he'll never get minutes there as long as someone named Kobe is on the team.

This marks a fresh start and great opportunity for him. He'll get lots of minutes right away due to his Laker pedigree and vast playoff experience. He's only 26 years young!

Now that he's FREE, he'll become a solid 6th man or potential starter down the road.

If Rubio goes to the T Wolves and plays well then they will be an up and coming team.
The T Wolves could use another shooting guard but I am not sure who is in the draft.
Singler would be a better fit on the Clippers. It would be a young Big Three with Blake Griffin and Eric Gordon.
Then you would have Chris Kaman at center. They would probably need to upgrade at point guard unless Baron Davis can get his act together. Freddette would be good too. Fredette and Bledsoe would be a great pair of guards coming off the bench. Aminu fits better as a sixth man.

This upcoming draft doesn't look too good. Singler looks like the best all-around player. Fredette would be a great pickup for a team. Some of the white imports sound good. Other than that, looks like a lot of busts. Perry Jones is probably the top pick. I could see Jones being an all-star. Singler could have a great career. But he might be a second option or third option kind of guy. Last year he looked comfortable playing with Scheyer as the two alpha dogs.
It was those two guys' team with Zoubek doing the dirty work, the Plumlee brothers helping, and Nolan Smith and the other guy not doing too much. Singler needs a structured team and a good alpha dog next to him with some top inside players. He could then figure out what he needs to do, either being a pick and pop guy, a three point shooter, a slashing gunner, or a point forward.
