In 2009 34 WRs were drafted. The five year draft average for WRs is 33. An average of 78 WRs per year are given FA contracts as rookies. An average of 110 WRs will make it to an NFL training camp. So here is an update of all white WRs ranked- this year- in the top 78 by NFLdraftscout.com:

Here are my top White WRs with projected rounds of where they should be drafted without the caste system. Remember, some underclassman will declare and could drop senior players' draft stock down. Even so, Eric Decker and Jordan Shipley are 1st round worthy. Riley Cooper and Chris McGaha-if they have huge seniors seasons- could be 1st round worthy even (with underclassmen included) as well.

Eric Decker: 1st Rd: Top 16 Pick: Plays sort of like Michael Crabtree.
Jordan Shipley: 1st Rd: Top 32: The whole package-elite agility.
Chris McGaha: 1st/2nd: Very good athlete, he's been productive too.
Riley Cooper: 2nd/3rd: Should move up- 1st full yr starting- very fast.
Blair White: 3rd: Plays fast and runs good routes.
Bryan Anderson: 3rd: Big, grabs jump ball, avg. agility, avg. speed.
Kerry Meier: 3rd/4th: Smart, great route runner, quick, but not fast.
Marc Mariani: 4th: FCS- fast, quick, agile and productive.
Pat Simonds: 4th/5th: FCS- Big WR- Runs good routes- solid speed.
Ryan Wolfe: 4th/5th: Very good route runner-strong- below avg. speed.
Kevin Jurovich: 5th/6th: Now healthy- expect big yr.- quick and shifty.
Tim Toone: 6th: FCS- Small, but fast and agile- 4.4 speed.
Trey Stross: 6th: Talented & should move up list now that he starts.
Rocky Ross: 7th: Had big year in '07-big time stats in H.S-4.5 speed.
Matt Luft: 7th/UFA: FCS- Big, strong, runs solid routes- possible TE?
Johnny Spevak: 7th/UFA: Div. II- Runs solid routes w/ quick 1st step.

On the cusp (sleepers)
Brad Kanuch: UFA: Stats unimpressive, but former H.S RB has talent.
Patrick Honeycutt: UFA: Potential slot WR- he's quick and shifty.
Robby Parris: UFA: Has talent, but has barely played at ND.

JC always seems to know an incredible amount about players early on. I think he knows more about college players than most professional scouts from NFLdraftscout. When I first read his Peyton Hillis article, I was a little skeptical (I didn't know how good he was in H.S- and his senior year was the 1st year I watched a lot of college football). But he was proven 100% correct!

I think this year's comparison to Beanie Wells is Toby Gerhart. They have similar playing styles and ability, but Toby is probably a little faster and is probably a little stronger.

Russ Lande has Shipley, Decker and McGaha as his 8th, 9th and 10th top WRs, going in the fourth round... load of crap. not even in caste reality will they all go so low.

Shipley: "Shipley lacks elite speed but is dangerous because of his ability to make would-be tacklers miss. Shipley won't wow scouts in pre-draft workouts, but he shows the smarts, deceptive athleticism, hands and versatility to carve out a good NFL career as a slot receiver and return man"

Decker: "Decker, however, lacks the explosiveness, burst and speed to separate from NFL defenders downfield."

McGaha: "He hasn't shown much explosiveness or speed necessary to make big plays in the NFL."

backrow, from what you posted from Lande, it appears he believes that in order to be explosive, one must be shot forth from a cannon. If he doesn't think Jordan Shipley has elite speed, he's a true Caste garden tool and a fool. Of course he has Caste Media status so his opinion will likely be soaked up by tons of DWFs.

All we can do is watch all these guys in the upcoming college season and hope they have monster years. Then they will not get screwed over. Johnny Spevak is a legit NFL prospect but probably won't even make a team.

Guys don't forget, the recievers that he mentioned have that rare skin condition that takes away elite speed, swiveling hips, explosivness, playmaking and room brightening smiles.

Anyway, there is no way that this "scout" watched ANY of their games last year, from what this tool writes he doesn't watch College Football in general.

according to SI.com Riley is rising, and fast! good to see that. if everything goes well, we'll have at 3 sure fire top 100 WRs, with Meier being in the mix as well.

Riley Cooper/WR/Florida: Cooper was graded as a fringe late-round pick by scouts last summer but has significantly raised the level of his game and draft stock. Tim Tebow's most reliable wideout, Cooper is a big-bodied pass catcher with the uncanny ability to find the soft spot in a defense. He's been a terrific red zone threat, as evidenced by his six touchdown receptions this year. His average of almost 17 yards per reception is impressive for a 215-pound wideout. Cooper has elevated himself into the middle rounds and will continue the upward movement if he runs well prior to the draft.

I can't say for sure since the NFL likes to screw white athlets but I'd say we can expect Eric Decker, Jordan Shipley, Riley Cooper, Kerry Meier, Blair White and Chris McGaha to all get drafted. There are also a few fringe guys with Ryan Wolfe being the first that comes to mind.

Shipley, right now, slightly over Tate. Tate's issue is that he doesn't get a lot of separation. Shipley has explosiveness out of his break. Tate makes a lot of great catches in traffic. He's made a lot of explosive plays, but he doesn't have it out of his break. Shipley has the return skills as well.
