I read that Brandon Wegher was released from his scholarship along with another Iowa RB. I wonder where Wegher will pop up at next.

Hampton, the overrated guy is the other guy transferring. It didn't mention where Wegher would transfer to but it did state he would transfer. Really wish he could have stayed. He could have found a way to make it work with his situation, and he had a better shot of making money in the NFL. He reminded me of a little bit of a bigger Emmit Smith. Well a better/more athletic version of Pierre Thomas seems like a better comparison minus the injuries, which if PT didn't have he would be in the top half of the NFL for yards from scrimmage. Excellent performance as a true freshman, Gerhart didn't even do that good his first year.

Iowa couldve had a Robinson/Wegher duo (I doubt they would reduce Robinson to only a few carries, but I could see Wegher getting the bulk had he stayed), it might have been possible for Wegher to hit 1,000 yards. Wegher really looked miles ahead of Robinson in the bowl game against Tech. It looked like he really found a rhythm in the offense. Robinson is nothing special, hes averaging 4.6 ypc on a team with great run blocking. That is okay for a freshman like last year when he and Wegher avg 4+ ypc. But he should be avg at least 5 right now. Adamn's production last year stayed the same pretty much every game, while Wegher fluctuated game to game, showing that he needed time to adjust in the offense, and that day came with 113 yards on 16 carries, 7 ypc. Robinson avg 4.2 ypc. Wegher had way more upside, I think he would be a little higher than Burkhead on that list had he stayed.

Jared Hassin joins Zach Line in the over 1,000 yards rushing category today. Jared ends his Sophomore season with 1,013 yards on 191 carries with 9 TDs.

Zach Line finishes up his Sophomore season with 1,498 yards on 244 carries and 10 TDs.

Taylor Martinez and Rex Burkhead are both within striking distance of 1,000 yards rushing with nice performances tonight.
