I'm not shedding any tears seeing the Bengals, Cowboys and Vikings all in meltdown mode.
The correlation between how black a team is and how bad it is has never been stronger than this season. Besides the three above, San Francisco, Arizona and Washington are struggling, the Bears are slowly but surely sinking after a good start, and the Seahawks are one of the worst 4-4 teams ever.
Meanwhile, every team with a majority White offense is a playoff contender except for the Browns, who are better than their 3-5 record and are clearly a team on the rise -- Miami, Green Bay, Indianapolis, New England, Atlanta, Houston, the Giants, and Cleveland. St. Louis, with the most White starters on defense, is doing better than expected.
Pittsburgh, Philadelphia and Tampa are the three best black teams. I'll be surprised if Tampa keeps it up, but the trend is clear and has been for several seasons now.
