Game of the week....... Patriots vs Jets. Woodhead back!

I'll bet that Belichick can figure out a role for Woodhead. I am equally optimistic that Woodhead will make use of his opportunities and hopefully figure significantly in the Patriots win against NY.Too soon totell however, I might have found my newfavorite NFL team.

Hartline just caught a TD to put the Dolphins up 7-0, but he probably needs to be replaced for good measure because he had one bad game.

I can't stand Dickdorf and Gumbel. When looking at the list of replacements for Taylor, Dickdorf said:"Peterson will be playing more on third down, and also Percy Harvin will be playing 3rd Down RB as well."

Nice to see Toby get his first carries.

The Browns need to keep Hillis in... 4 carries for 22 yards for Hillis, while Harrison has three for 4 and a fumble.

It would help if they didn't give Toby the ball in predictable situations. It was two obvious run calls in the redzone, although about 10 to 11 yards away from the endzone. The first one was a short yardage situation, both times the box was stuffed.

The announcers talked about people needing to step up to fill in Chester Taylor's role, they mentioned Peterson playing more on 3rd downs, even mentioned Percy Harvin possibly getting in the backfield on 3rd downs, just no mention of Gerhart. So far it looks like they are using him as a goal line/short yardage back. Yes teams spend 2nd round picks all the time onbacks that only get 5 touches a game.......No dwf questions Gerhart's small role in the offense? it isn't like the offense is doing well. I wasn't home for the first series, but my dad said they had Gerhart lined up as a slot receiver? I asked him if he was confusing him with another white guy, he said no, the announcers said he was lined up in the slot. Still not certain, but it seems possible being that slot receiver is appropriate for whites.Edited by: snow

Well, Hillis hasn't touched the ball since his TD. Jerome Harrison finally passed him in total yardage. Harrison is averaging 2.5 yards per carry with a fumble, and Hillis is average 4 ypc with a TD.

Jason Babin with a sack

btw Carolina is playing two white DTs two day, in rotation, Landri and Hayden.

Browns are giving way too many carries to Harrison. pound it with Hillis and use Harrison as a change of pace back, geez. it's not a rockey science, just look at the stats.

Does anyone know if Hillis got banged up on his touchdown run? As far as I can tell on NFL.com they haven't given him a carry since his TD run. They have been forcefeeding Jerome Harrison the ball since then and he's had pretty pitiful results.

Does anyone know where to see the Browns game? Hillis was actually getting touches earlier. All of the streams I find for that game aren't working.

Hillis was suited up and listening to the QB during one of the time outs, so he seems to be all ready to go.

That is stupid to force feed the ball to Harrison then, he is averaging 2.5 ypc. Yeah he might break off a big one and get his ypc up, but Hillis is averaging 4 ypc, I guarantee you if you give him more carries he will break off a 20+ yard run, maybe even 2 or 3, and his ypc will go up to 6 or 7. Instead Harrison will continue to kill drives, but hey as long as he hits one homerun the entire gamedwfs will think he is goodEdited by: snow

Yeah, this is insane. Hillis still hasn't had another carry, Harrison now has 14 carries for 28 yards, just 4 more yards than Hillis ran in 6 carries. Hillis is averaging 4 ypc but also had a TD run that was only 1 yard out.

Gerhart had two nice runs,There was a 12 man on the field penalty on the first one so they accepted that to have 1st and 5, but I could have sworn I heard them say he had a 19 yard run but then that wouldn't make sense to take a 5 yard penalty,I could have misheard it. Not sure how long itwas, but itwould have raised his ypc.

Hillis gets another carry and goes for 7 yards. He's 7 carries for 31 yards. Harrison received 2 more carries and ran 3 yards total. He's 16 for 33.

John Kuhn came out of nowhere to be the best back for the Packers so far in week 2. Definitely a nice surprise there.

Yeah it looks like the coaches have caved in to the dwf's whining of "why isn't Harrison getting the ball more, Hillis shouldn't be getting the same amount of carries blah blah blah". Harrison has more than double thecarries and 2 more yards than Hillis. Harrison is really showing his "explosive ability". He might have a big run when the game does't even matter anymore and the dwfs will forget how much he sucked today.

Bobby Carpenter just stuffed Peterson on 3rd and goal. Should have put Gerhart in. In fact Peterson just failed to get in for a td on 4 straight goal line carries.
