the guys helmet hit it in the right spot. They talked about lovie smith's defense flying to the ball, they never flew to the ball like this, at least in the other games i watched. They showed 10 guys come and hit Gerhart after 2 guys had him wrapped up. Said Lovie really had them coached to fly to the football....yeah thats what he told them, more like "fly to the white boy"

I will remain optimistic. This is on special teams/defense and the fact that Joe Webb couldn't throw 5 yards accurately. He was projected to be converted to wide receiver. If you are a black qb and they want you to play wr then it usually means you are terrible at passing, because they are desperate for guys like Michael Vick, even the version that was a mediocre passer.

Toby getting traded would not necessarily be a bad thing.

that was a perfectly-placed hit on the ball, but, plain and simple,Toby needs to hang onto the football. you just can't put the ball on the ground. especially, when you're already under the microscope.

68 yards in the first half had them sweating despite the weather, so of course not

i'm not trying to be nit picky, but has Webb hit a single receiver in stride yet? he simply hasn't thrown the ball the least bit accurately. every catch has the guy leaping or turning around or stopping and waiting for the ball.
now he throws into triple coverage, and it's intercepted. ouch.

It was 2nd and 2.Why would you not run the ball in that situation? Surely, the man who's been averaging 5ypc could pick up those lousy 2 yards, instead of getting fancy with Webb?

Yeah, on a couple of those play action plays, I didn't know if Toby had it or not, until the last second. Regardless, if he had it, he had wide open space on a couple of them. I guess it was not in the cards of him getting a 100 yards. Great first half for him though.

Only 3 f'n carries for Toby in the second half? Is that right?

Edit: Nope, looks like it was four.

Another INT.

You are in the redzone, you have shown the ability to run the ball (Gerhart, 5ypc), and your QB stinks. Why not run the ball a couple of times?

Oh well, given the situation, Gerhart did the best he could. Same as in CLE, I just don't understand some of this lousy play-calling that either puts the white RB at a complete disadvantage, or won't use his strengths at all.

It wouldn't have been any different for the Vikings tonight with a black RB.

There were so many mistakes in this game that I don't think even Yahooligan/White Rivals, BSPN and Wienieworld will be able to single out rookie Gerhart for one fumble in this weather without exposing their bias. His backup fumbled, the other rookie Webb struggled with two INTs and inability to throw anything deep. I even think most DWFs will realize that Toby Gerhart played great for a rookie in these conditions, running for high 4 YPC with 8 guys in the box for most of the game with Webb in there.

I still wouldn't put it past these cultural Marxists to be able to cleverly manipulate a few feeble minded DWFs with IQs under 70 to some hate on Gerhart though and to ignore the the special teams and Webb's undeveloped passing. They'll probably tout Webb as next year's starter already with no evidence that he'll earn this.Edited by: ToughJ.Riggins

Gerhart is 41 yards away from having 500 yards from scrimmage this year. Not bad considering they hardly played him.

To clarify what I mean on Rush Limbaugh. McNabb did have a few years that he wasn't being overrated by fans and some media, but the yahoowhiterivals types always overpraise a black QB for average play. They completely fawn and jock sniff when they play well like Vick this year, McNabb for 4 or 5 years in Phili etc. They make excuses for guys like Tarvaris and took almost a full year longer than CF's resident softliner TJR to call Duhmarcus a bust lol.

Thanks for the info snow, I think Hillis will still get 1,250 rush yards and 1,750 yards from scrimmage. Woodhead could go over 1,000 yards from scrimmage and Gerhart should go over 500 yards from scrimmage. This has been a GREAT year for CF so let's stay positive!Edited by: ToughJ.Riggins

To be fair, Vick has had a great year. Winning the MVP is between him and the All Time Pro Brady. If Tom puts up 300 something yard games with 4 or 3 TD in each remaining game, without interceptions and winning the games. The MPV should be safely in Tom's hands. But we all know the agenda favors an ex con, who has very dark skin, flourishing in his "upside" that can play.

Tough I think Woodhead should get around 40% of the carries with Green Ellis picking up the rest of the slack.

Only 40%? So then you must think law firm is a better pure runner than Danny? Not me. I think in a caste-less world Danny would be getting nearly all the carries with Law Firm spelling him and doing some short yardage duty.

I think he is talking about the situations to run in (not including receptions) some are more favorable for Law Firm. Of course Danny can push the pile and be an MJD, but, look at Jamaal Charles and Thomas Jones, Jones has more carries, but Charles has more yards. IMO that would be the ideal situation for Woodhead. Why be MJD and have running situations that lower your ypc when he can be like Charles. MJD is avg 4.4 ypc and Charles is avg 6.4. Hopefully that is what the situation is next year, right now its too unbalanced, Law Firm has 200 touches and Danny has 113, while Jones only has slightly more carries than Charles. Woodhead did come in around the 3rd game and took him a week or two to get adjusted to the offense, and the Patriots have more weapons and run less, both Charles and Jones have over 200 carries, Law Firm hasn't reached 200 yet, he has 190 attempts and 10 receptions. Kansas has over 487 total carries to New England's 386. Would be nice if the Pats had more carries, with Woodhead receiving them.

My thoughts exactly.I'm not saying that Danny should never in his career get that many touches, but for now I think Green-Ellis has played well enough that they should continue to have Green-Ellis as 1 and Woodhead as 1A for the rest of the year. Don't fix what isn't broken.

I'd put Brady ahead of Vick right now. Vick should be second. No RB has had a year quite like CJ did last year, (but there has been a lot of great years including Hillis') so I think it will go to a QB. Vick is 11th in pass yards per game right now and Brady is 9th, but Vick would probably be slightly higher than Brady if one of his games hadn't been only 1 quarter. Vick is also running his team to victories when his first two throws aren't there- as he is making the second reads this year. Brady is just playing ABSOLUTELY lights out right now though. Brady has a bit higher season QB rating and is on a 12-2 team and annihilated two good teams in the last three games. Plus Brady has significantly more passing yards and more passing TDs too- of course he has the advantage of playing more games, but that still SHOULD hurt Vick with getting votes. Brady of the 12-2 Patriots should be league MVP.

As disgusted as I am with Vick's dog fighting operation, he put in his time in prison and has stayed out of trouble so far. If he is indeed a sociopath he isn't behaving like it this year.Edited by: ToughJ.Riggins

I forgot I asked that question to you Celtic, your answer makes sense. I think snow explained a fair situation. Woodhead should be used like Charles next year. The Patriots run less, but with Woodhead's ability he could still go over 1,000 yards rushing next year if he had a similar ratio of runs to Lawfirm as Charles has to Jones. With total touches Woodhead should get more than Lawfirm

Snow, I recall you agreeing with me on Woodhead's style being similar to Charles (despite a different body frame). Woodhead has a lot of similarities to Charles in rushing big play ability and power for his weight. Great minds think alike.Edited by: ToughJ.Riggins

It was nice to see MN play outdoors in that freezing rain...historic because it will likely be Favre's last game ever.
Awful performance by Vikings all around since they knocked out Farve. Even the defense got demoralized it seemed.
ST? Ha, laughably bad. Tackling like it was a high school game

Joe Webb should be moved back to WR or something. There is no way he can flourish as a starting QB. Yes, the footing and weather was terrible. Still, no pocket presence, no ability to hit receivers, total awkwardness, arm strength is mediocre.

To be fair, Bears are a great defense. Cutler is playing lights out.
Was awesome seeing Gerhart out there, running hard.

I hope he continues to stick with it. And yes, a trade from MN would not be terrible in the long run.
in other news, Frazier will not be coach of MN either..not that we really know much about the guy.

MN will soon need to gut the house and start all over again.
At least on offense. Peterson is gonna start to slow down after all the wear and tear.
OL sucks (how much do they miss Birk and Hutchinson?)

Bears though are a good team.
Who would be better from a Caste perspective to support? Atlanta, Philly or Bears?

Philly has Celek, Colt Anerson and Hall.

I still say Atlanta (I guess)
