Sunday nite football is starting, and I get to hear Uncle Cris wax poetic about the "great" Michael Vick.

The Bears nearly 10/11 coal black D is being thoroughly exploited by the Patriots O that has 10 white players at times. If this were 1965 and the opposite skin complexions, people would be calling for an all-black NFL after this game.

New England probably won't smash every opponent, but if one looks at the "state" of the AFC, New England has a fine opportunity to make a deep-run in the playoffs.

Pittsburgh is not as good as their record. Baltimore, who plays Houston on Monday and New Orleans next week, could very well struggle down-the-stretch.

KC was without Cassel today, but they don't strike me as a team that's "all that" if they end up making the postseason. The "Cardiac Jets" were given EVERY OPPORTUNITY to win today, but they LOST!!

I'm really hoping for a Tom Brady/Matt Ryan SuperBowl. Drew Brees could make another playoff run as well.

TD catch for Todd Herremans, a guard lined up as a TE. As a former lineman, I'm happy to see him get a score!

Nice to see Chad (Superman) Hall getting some catches. I'd really like to see him run the ball, but I don't care too much. It is just great to see him on the field. When he graduated from Air Force, I didn't think I'd ever see him on the field again.

ESPN has POZ with 9 total tackles (6 solo) against CLE.. That would mean he has 120 tackles now!

Vick with another INT. Whoever said on CF that opposing DBs or defenses take it easy against Vick so he succeeds, that's not happening tonight. Brooking, Ware, Lee, and the rest of the Cowboys are making sure he's miserable. Vick's gotten whacked good tonight a lot, and he's thrown two picks.

I agree with you!

But, before the Herremans TD, there was the DeSean Jackson catch-and-run.. he was WIDE-OPEN.

Just want toadd my name to this historic thread. Congrats Peyton Hillis! As far as the Gruden talk, no way, no chance he ends up in Cleveland at least IMHO. 2 reasons: Gruden is a warm weather guy who isway too cosmopolitian to ever be seen in "blue collar" Cleveland. If he comes back next year, my bet is on San Diego, Tenn, Carolina, or possibly Denver.

Colt Anderson is becoming a WSTD for the Eagles.

During a 2009 MNF game, they showed photos of Gruden wearing a Browns uniform as a child. He grew up in Cleveland and was a big fan of that team. I would've been inclined to agree with poster "Toby Hillis", that he would choose a warm weather site to coach next. But upon a quick google search, I saw a bunch of reports based on recent comments made by his son "Deuce Gruden" and it's good news and bad news, if true.

Bad news: Hemight eventuallybe in Cleveland, if this istrue, because he likes Holmgren, McCoy, ect.....Good news: He prefers, the 49ersandwants to stay another year on MNF, after this season....so that buys Eric M. one more season?

I think SF might force the issue, since they might have to fire their current coach/AA hireand can't hire someone for just one year until Gruden's son graduates from high school?

P.S: Congrats to Patrick Hillis ("the big, dumb white guy from Denver"), as one DWF on a Jets board referred to him last March....I bet himand all his gay little friendsknow it's"Peyton Hillis" now

Did not know that. For some reason I thought he was from California. And I did think about the Holmgren connection...okay, now I am scared! I guess I'll do as everyone suggests and just focus on the positive, the here and now.

I couldn't catch the San Diego/KC game or the New Orleans/St. Louis game, but I like the fact that San Diego tightened the Division race.. even though I don't "love" what A.J. Smith has done or the treatment of Hester.

New Orleans is stepping-up now, and they should be ready for their Tampa game in a few weeks. When I think of "who could be a Vick-killer in the playoffs?".. the name that pops-up is Drew Brees!

Atlanta has been "battle-tested" to some degree, but, in a "non-AA" NFL, they wouldn't be 11-2.. Michael Turner is "prone" to being stuffed in the postseason, and they are a team that could have their "great regular season" and flop in the playoffs. Just my 2-cents...

Frankly, I'm surprised that no one is talking about Miami's win.. I know that Hartline is on IR, but Fasano did some damage and I saw Lydon Murtha playing, alongside Incognito/Berger/McQuistan.

Also, Brandon Marshall's hands were HORRIBLE.. I know what other CF posters' are talking about now. The Miami win also helped New England immensely.. I will likely eat crow about my "Jets' winning the Division" prediction.. but I'm glad that I was wrong.

Is it common for a player after the game to get an autograph from an opposing player, the way I saw a (black) Dallas Cowboy get Michael Vick to sign a glove? I guess it's better than having him sign a Cowboy helmet, but still. ('You're a hero and an inspiration to all of us Michael.')

In the past, I believe I've heard of similar occurences happening with Favre. However, to have it happen with Vick seems strange, to say the least.

Gruden is the reason Mike Alstott isn't even realistic a dark horse hall candidate. I'm not saying Hillis will be a hall of fame candidate. But if Chucky is hired by Cleveland you know at best he will want a Dunn type to get 40 to 50 percent of the carries. Chucky is way too inflexible in his views on big White tailbacks/fullbacks....

First off, a hearty congratulations to Peyton Hillis for reaching this critical milestone today. I have a feeling we will not go another 25 years for the next white RB to get 1000 yards.

I can see how it was sort of anti-climatic, though. The fumbles, no TDs, and of course losing the game all took a bit of wind out of our sails. If the Browns had a competent QB and an offensive coordinator who knows how call plays, it could have been a much bigger day. There's a reason even Rootrooter had him as their #1 RB this week. Everyone gets to pad their stats against Buffalo, so it was a bit of a letdown in that sense.

Still, he's on track on surpass Craig James' total with 3 games left. I hope he gets 1300+ yards and 15+ rushing TDs, perhaps 20TDs total. Those are all realistic numbers, but when you have washed-up Jake Dellhome as your QB, it really has an impact on the entire offense, so we'll see how things play out. I wonder why it's taking so long for Colt McCoy to heal-up. What is the nature of his injury?

I think the Browns need to finish 7-9 or better for Mangini to keep his job. It won't be easy, and if they lose all 3 games, then I think Mangini is out. Gruden coming in would be a blow for sure for Hillis' chances as the primary ball carrier. He'd at best assume a Mike Allsott like role, which is better than nothing, but he's so much more than that. As long as Hillis can fix his fumbling problems, the rest of his game has no weaknesses.

A worst case scenario I have heard is Walrus himself coming back to coach. I think that would effectively end the Peyton Hillis era in CLE after just one season.

Let's focus on the next 3 games and watch Peyton pile-up some more yards and TDs. Nothing can really put a damper on his incredible 2010 season. We'll cross all those other bridges if/when we get there.

Logan Paulsen catches a TD for Redskins!

I wonder what his "career path" is going to be in the NFL. What I mean is, the Redskins' might not keep him for that long.. so would he be able to land elsewhere?

With his skill-set, he could, especially if he can avoid serious injury, be a #2 TE for some team.

Wes Welker now has 80 catches for 787 yards. He'll need to average 6.5 catches and 71 yards in the remaining three games to reach his 4th consecutive 1,000+ yard, 100+ catch season. This could easily occur, assuming that New England doesn't decide to "rest"Â￾ their starters in the final weeks. They are two games ahead of the 9-4 Jets and one game ahead of the 10-3 Steelers (and own the tie-breaker). Welker's healing knee seems to improve with each passing week. No player is more deserving of success.

It was nice to see Julian Edelman excel in the punt return game. He was quite close to breaking a 42 yard return for a TD, and had an electrifying 71 yard TD called back. Edelman certainly hasn't played well this season. He's had a muffed punt, drops, a false start, etc. I hope he can continue his string of good games into the playoffs.

I sure hope Wes can keep his streak of 1,000 yard seasons alive. I must admit that earlier in the season I was worried about him. I thought he wasn't as effective without Moss but he has really turned it up during the second half of the season. He isn't 100 percent healthy, but if he was, he would already have 1,000 yards.

That's the best thing: he's better without Moss than with him.

Some great comments and analysis from CF members re a variety of Week 14 topics.
Overall, this season has been so far a clear success at (modestly) damaging the entrenched Caste system and its terrible agenda.
Peyton Hillis and the dominating Patriots offense are key aspects here.

Support Hillis 100% with positive comments to other fan sites you may frequent, or better yet, sign up to the Browns fan forums and keep up the huge support for Hillis.
And yes, astonishing that Cleveland had 6 white defenders during the last game. Having said that, Cleveland and Mangini are winning some battles here, but losing the war.
Anti-White evangelical third world lover, Mike Holmgren is waiting in the ivory tower for his chance to put forth his mark on the Browns.
The bottom line is that for Mangini, who is evidently giving White players a chance to shine, every win is precious. For Cleveland's big picture, it is imperative that Mangini stay as Coach.
And objectively speaking, the play calling on Sunday and throwing has been Delhomme in there is not going to get it down.

I think Holmgren is salivating at the chance to purge some of the White contributors. This is why every win is key for Mangini and it makes his 2010 resume look better.

Beyond this, sobering Monday for Packers. Just not looking good right now. Rodgers may be the Ken O'Brien of this age.

Heller from Lions scored the only TD.

I didn't even know Colt Anderson was on an active roster so thanks for noting his ST play. I hope he can continue to get a chance to contribute. Glad to hear this news.

Black dominated Jags and Bucs continue to march along into the playoff picture.
Teams such as the Rams and Browns need to win some close games.
They were making fun of Roman Harper for being chased down by athletic Sam Bradford. Hahaha...super afflete Harper getting run down with ease by Bradford. That's so funny to the Saints brothas...you know, blacks always outrun everyone.
smiley91.gif

Other then this, await the storm for idiotic Sal Alosi from the Jets strength and conditioning coach. He stuck out his foot to trip a black Dolphin during ST kick...not good.
No matter the race, this is a punk move.
At least he has quickly apologized and said he awaits his punishment. Yea, that will be a pink slip. Hope he didn't buy too many XMAS gifts yet.

Just what on Earth was this fool thinking?

I recall some old NFL Films footage that stuff like this used to happen in the 50s...big brawls would ensue.
