Poorly written article, but this is what the Caste System has come to...

The Rams need to get Barron back in the fold. They need to coach him. They need to challenge him. They need to remind him that he could write himself a huge contract ticket by playing 16 strong games at left tackle.

Ryan McKee, mentioned as essentially a nobody in the article, is a large White man, age 23:

If Rams pull the trigger on the trade Barron for Bobby Carpenter we might see a snow patrol in their 4-3 package with underrated Vobora (who even rotoworld gave credit to), Laurinaitis and Carpenter.

I'm excited for the Rams in this trade. They get rid of a bust, Alex "The Penalty Machine" Barron, and bring in an outstanding LB, who all of the DWF's label a bust. In the Rams 4-3, he's being slotted at the starting weakside LB, where he will be a great fit, unlike being one of the inside 'backers in the Cowpokes 3-4. In this system, with his size, speed, and range, we'll finally see the real Bobby Carpenter.

Vobora was arguably the Rams' best linebacker working off the strong side last season, but the team signed Ken Flajole-favorite Na'il Diggs to play SAM and plans to use Carpenter on the weak side. Vobora appears ticketed for a fourth linebacker role, as St. Louis' top backup at all three positions.

Interesting how that story is written. Vobora isn't losing his starting job to Carpenter, who is slated to start on the other side, but to the scrub Na'il "I's speak Ebonics" Diggs.

Na'il Diggs.. Geez how in the world is this scrub still hanging around? I remember the Packers spending a4th round pick on him way back when and he never ammounted to anything. Now 9 years later and with his third team he's threatening to take a job away from the younger more athletic David Vobora? I'm not buying thisand neither should Vobora. Diggs had 3 good seasons where his tackle stats were in the 80's('02-'04) since then he hasn't sniffed numbers that good.

well, rotoworld (or at least the guy covering Rams) is a big Vobora fan from his earlier posts, so it seems like he's saying: Vobora should start but the coach will favor Diggs. i really hope it's not the case, and even if it is i am sure that throughout the season he will beat Diggs out.

The Rams have extended exclusive rights free agent tenders to RB Kenneth Darby, CB Quincy Butler, LB David Vobora, and LB Larry Grant.
Vobora finished 2009 as St. Louis' starting SAM linebacker, playing well despite his unheralded status.

Rams starting SLB David Vobora left Sunday's loss to the Titans in the fourth quarter with a hyperextended knee and an ankle injury.
Vobora, who has been a revelation at outside linebacker of late, was injured while covering a kickoff in a 33-7 game for a 1-12 team. The severity of the injury is unknown.

Amendola seems screwed. He's an undrafted free agent that no team wanted until the Rams rescued him from the trash heap. Gilyard was drafted (first pick of the 4th round) and has "off the field" and "character" issues, meaning he'll be given every chance at redemption in order to be turned into a feel good story tobe fed tothe bottomless gullibility of the DWFs.

Well the best case scenario would have been for Amendola to have earned his spot as a slot WR based on last years play. BUT that obviously didn't happen.An okayscenario would be for Amendola to lose his spot as a slot WR but keep his return duties and still see time as a 4th wideout. Idk based on years past, Amendola might be in for a tough unfair year...

Amendola has had it tough so far. He was on the Eagles practice squad until Fat Bastard ending up waiving him. Then he puts together a nice season in St Louis and all of a sudden is likely to be replaced by a rookie afflete.

Amendola was also racially discarded by the Cowboys before joining Fat Bastard's crew.

It's hard to believe he was even signed by the Rams...let alone given a chance to be #3 WR and return man. I don't think he's totally screwed just yet...but white players (and white WRs in particular) are always the sacrificial lambs of the NFL.

From CBS Sports for whatever it's worth. Glad to read that he's a fan favorite: In three-WR sets, Danny Amendola joins starters Laurent Robinson and Donnie Avery on the field. That would seem to make fan-favorite Amendola the No. 3 receiver, but coaches are hopeful that fourth-round rookie Mardy Gilyard works his way into the picture.
