Jack Lambert said:So far, we have had three nearly all-white teams in St. Mary's, No. Iowa, and Cornell all advance to the 2nd round, with the Gaels going to the Sweet 16! Plus other white friendly teams in Purdue, Kansas, Gonzaga, BYU, Butler, and Wisconsin all advanced. So far, I think we are having a great tournament.
I'm sure if some of my friends were watching that game, they'll no doubt be shocked that a bunch of unathletic white guys can be a nearly-all black, athletic team like Villanova.
Don't forget Duke! Omar Samhan was amazing in the low post, unstoppable! He's Irish/Egyptian and I don't think I have ever heard of that unique combination before. The St. Mary Gaels stands for Irish-Warriors and that's what they looked like today and I hope they go all the way to the regional finals(elite eight) and meet Duke as they are in the same bracket. Awesome tournament so far except for Notre Dame going down but you can't win them all.
