Adam Morrison was starting to show maybe SMALL signs of "NBA" production early in his SECOND season with the Bobcats and blew out his knee. I think Adam Morrison should get one more chance with some serious minutes with a team to see what he can do (until then he is a bust). It will likely have to be a team with less depth than LA. LA can't try to wait for him to come around with the other talent they have on the team- as they are on the road to a possible repeat championship.

Tim Donaghy was a whistle blower about the Sacramento-LA officiating travesty. I think that's what bigunreal means. I don't give any credence to his latest accusations when he's long been away from being inside the NBA. Now he just wants payback. I believe him on the Sacramento LA series stuff. I have never seen worse officiating than that in ANY sport EVER, including the figure skating judge's scoring travesty that originally screwed the Canadian pair out of the gold medal (lol, I don't watch figure skating, but heard about this)!

Grant Hill is a better defender than Richardson, so Hill should have been out there to guard Kobe. However, Dragic should have stayed in at the end there over Richardson- with the way he was playing, but maybe coach Gentry wanted Richardson's elite outside shooting.

I think with Richardson playing a lot in this series, bringing outside shooting, the Suns should have used a combination of Robin Lopez and Amare and also Amare and Louis Amundson more. Dudley and Channing Frye should have been moved back further in the rotation. I'd like to see the Suns get David Lee to team up with Amare. Maybe they could sign Redick away from Orlando too, to bring him off the bench as a 6th man in place of 3 point gun bench player Channing Frye.

Bigunreal, you still never responded to my post. How exactly is Nate Robinson pudgy and out of shape? Please I'd like to hear your explanation on this one.

whiteathlete33,

You're right- I looked at a bunch of pictures of Nate Robinson online and he never looked fat. I don't know why he seemed pudgy to me during that game. I don't pay much attention to the NBA, except to follow the way white Americans really get screwed. I guess I'm so fed up with the chubby affletes I see in sports, that I'm starting to see them even when they aren't there.

As for Morrison, he has not, in any way, shape or form, been given a fair shot. Let's compare his rookie season to a player that is roughly similar in size. Ron Artest, for instance, put up very simliar numbers to Adam his rookie year (12 ppg, 4.3 rpg, 40.7 fg %). He also played more minutes per game that the much more celebrated college player Morrison did. During his second season, the afflete Artest went DOWN in all these categories (11.9 ppg, 3.9 rpg, 40.1 fg %). Then, he fell yet again in his third season, to 10.9 ppg in a year shortened by injury. No one gave up on him. I'm sure there are numerous, even more glaring examples of the double standard applied to white players.

There is not a single, high profile white American player who has been treated as fairly as ALL high profile (and most low profile) black players are when they enter the NBA. Consider what Morrison, JJ Redick, Joe Alexander, Tyler Hansborough, etc. must go through as rookies; black teammates refusing to pass them the ball and instinctively not respecting them, coaches who feed off the collective attitude of the black players, unequal coverage from the jock sniffers in the press and most importantly of all, the impatience of the DWFs, who stand ready with overpriced beer cups raised to boo them at the slightest opportunity. It's a wonder they can ever produce.

A black player of Morrison's college pedigree would not only have been an instant starter, subject to fawning attention by everyone, but the team would have been built around him, and the coaches would have instructed the other players to get the back in his hands. Any negative characteristics would have been glossed over, and Caste catch phrases like "athleticism," "raw talent," and "high basketball IQ" would have been emphasized.

If you don't think Adam Morrison has been subject to an unfair, double standard by the NBA, then I don't know what part of the Caste System you believe exists in profesional basketball.

His rookie season was poor. Injuries also have hurt his career tremendously.

A rookie season of FG 38% and 3-point 34% is not death sentence for any black player in the NBA. Especially when you consider that Morrison shot a large percentage of 3-pointers - his 3 point percentage is probably about average in the NBA. Just a quick look at a couple of other players; Over Jason Kidd's long All-Star career he average 40% FG, and Dwayne Wade is somewhere in the 20's for three point percentage.

bigunreal,

WE are not so "into" the NBA. I don't know what would make you think we are.

Look at the upcoming NBA Draft, where Derrick Favors is wayyy overrated, and it's simply because he was a "5-star" coming out of high school. WE know the score. Look at the "stiffness" of DeMarcus Cousins. He had a solid Frosh season, but it would be a mistake to declare him any kind of Superman. If he was White, the media would constantly describe him as a "non-fluid" big...

Morrison was more of a scorer than a pure shooter on college. Reddick was a pure shooter who could score so his game was able to translate in limited minutes in the NBA. Reddick was also more mentally tough in college as well as when he sat on the bench his first few years in the league. Reddick is also more athletic and has not had injury problems.

Morrison needs a system. Either as a third option on a disciplened team or as a
gunner/ 3 point shooter of the bench.

He is not really a bust; I think he needs a better chance. In that way he is like Darko. A guy like Marvin Williams is more of a bust. I think Singler, Hayward, and Luke Babbitt will be better in the NBA. Now if those guys get screwed over too...

Yeah, what nerve, huh? How dare anyone question the legitimacy of a league (the NBA) which features a team with "Los Sons"Â￾ printed on their jerseys as a symbol of their anti-white solidarity in accordance with their American Marxism overlords? Or the only professional sports league darker than the NFL. Or a league so engrossed in all things involving pro-African / rap / hiphop / wanna-be-ganster ideals. If these undeniable acts of anti-white camaraderie are not labeled a "conspiracy,"Â￾ then what is?

A league this corrupt would not only deny a white player such as Morrison ample opportunity to succeed (especially with the Bobcats), they would bask in his failures. Sure, he hasn't been great for the 3rd overall pick"¦but that fits well with the 1st round blacks annually selected. Nobody would dare "give up"Â￾ on them, however.

I too am disgusted with Morrison's dilemma. You'd think a great college scorer like him should get at least 20 minutes a game no matter what team he plays for. The biggest negative about Morrison is always his defense, which is more like a lame excuse to keep him on the bench.

The problem with the NBA today is that MOST coaches are NOT in the business of DEVELOPING young and raw talent. It's all about winning they say, not about opportunity, and I find that philosophy so wrong. What good is winning of you'll not give opportunities to everyone (white especially).

Winning isn't everything, it should be about giving what fans want (drunk or not), and that's to enjoy the game of basketball, the fun and entertainment it can offer. Sadly, the NBA is becoming less and less fun to watch. All in the name of this so-called winning agenda. I find the Euroleague and International basketball more fun to watch these days.

The irony is that only 3 or 4 teams every year have a real shot at winning the championship. The rest of the teams' real goal should be to put an competitive, cohesive, entertaining product on the court. Who cares if you are a 4th seed or a 7th seed? You probably won't win anyway. But you can build on something for next year, especially if you have a good draft.

Hopefully more TEAMS win NBA titles. I would count the Celtics as one. A top 5 or 6 point guard with above-average veterans filling out the rest of the starting five. A team made up of good white players would build a dynasty around this concept. Plus, team basketball is more fun to watch. A superstar-driven marketing scheme is really killing the league; the NBA is basically where it was before Bird and Magic entered the league.

Morrison was projected to be better than Keith Van Horn coming out of college. I followed Van Horn's career from when he got drafted and hoped he would be a superstar. He was a very good player for years but never the superstar I thought he would be.

I am in agreement with Thrashen and bigunreal on this thread. The NBA got what it wanted, Morrison has gotten screwed and Tim Donaghy is a whistleblower who has a story that deserves to be told and listened to by the MSM. The NBA is by far the most corrupt professional sports league and has been for a long time. The white friendly Mavs, Kings and Suns all would have likely won championships in the last decade if that were not the case.Edited by: guest301

The NBA has gone through big changes in the years. Look at the Celtics today. The only white they have is Scalabrine and he gets limited minutes. Big difference from a few decades ago when they had Bird, Mchale, and Ainge. American whites are almost nonexistent in today's NBA. The excuse can't be made that white kids just aren't interested in basketball. Millions of them play organized ball in high schools throughout the country. It's just that they aren't being drafted and recruited to the big name colleges like in the past.

Nice opening win for Lakers, 102-89!
smiley32.gif

Despite several questionable calls, the Lakers were clearly the better team and Gasol had a solid night:

23 points (8-14 FG's, 7-10 FT's)
14 rebounds (8 offensive)
3 assists
1 steal
3 blocks

If the Lakers are to continue winning, it'll depend on Gasol's consistency on offense and defense. He's no doubt the pillar of the Lakers.

This will be my last post for now. I'll not post again until the final whistle blows!

That is great news! Hopefully the Lakers get another home game win and "steal" one from the Boston Africations home court.

Gasol set the tone early in the paint and did very well against the frontcourt of the Johannesburg Zulus. I look forward to another Laker win on Sun, and hopefully the series will be over in 5-6 games.

I agree that Gasol's performance is key in this series. He played great defense tonight and was very physical inside. He's now getting all the respect from the media types. Gasol appears to have joined an exclusive and small list of white athletes who's no longer being ridiculed by the DWFs and so called "analysts". He can shut-up any remaining critics about the soft label by having a solid series, which I'm sure he will.

Well, if there was ever any doubt that the NBA is corrupt and fixed it was evident tonight. The refs totally ripped off the lakers and handed the calls and the game in the celtics favor. tickytack nonsense on the lakers and one sided crap. they even looked at a video review of Garnett knocking out the ball (uh... duh, a black guys hand knocked it out , not Gasols...) and then gave the ball and the game to the Celtics. What a corrupt, fixed legue if there ever was one. Yid Stern must have given the commands ahead of time... how pathetic. i don't even know why i watch anymore...

I have not watched one minute of the NBA finals thus far. The NBA already ripped off the Kings of a championship in 2002, by a travesty of officiating. Then arguably you could say that the Mavs would have won in 2006, if not for the officials. Then you could arguably say that Phoenix would have won in 2007 if not for megalomaniac Stern's suspension of Amare and Barbosa for putting one foot on the court when there wasn't even an altercation, but simply a dirty hard foul on Nash by Robert Horry (when Duncan and Bowen had put a foot on the court after a big basket- when there was some taunting afterward the game before)! Didn't the Spurs go on to win that year? This league is a joke!Edited by: ToughJ.Riggins

Hey there TJ Riggins,

i had forgotten about that stuff. yep, it's insane.tonight was absurd as you can imagin. and the weird thing is the announcers just seem so flippant about the bad calls.

i hope they don't hand the title to the celtics. at least make those guys who almost all look like real thugs earn it. i am big Gasol fan and I really like Derek Fisher too for his work ethic. This would be bad for the already horrible caste system if Gasol and his effort is blackballed...if you know what i mean...

Gasol has been huge in this series. The officiating was very bad. Especially since the Lakers were at home. Hoping for a 7 game series. I just can't stand the Celtics. Nothing like the Bird days when they were the talk of the nba. Nothing to like about a team that lacks diversity. Where is the white Al Sharpton? Lol. Go Lakers.
