The Suns will win the series easily. Trust me! Then they will take out your LaLa Boys. That is what you will have to watch for thinking Dirk is a choker. What a joke. You know basketball good but you were dead wrong on that analysis!
The Dirk choke thing first began when he missed that FT in Game 3 of 2006 finals. It even became for apparent in the 2007 1st round meltdown, and now, the most recent one. Obviously much of the fault should go to the management, coaching, and Dirk's teammates. Blame also has to go to the refereeing (2006 especially). Nobody can really place Dirk at fault for all these tragedies (save for the missed FT), it's just that many people (fans and critics alike) are frustrated, and much of the blame unfairly goes to Dirk, when it's the Dallas franchise, and the NBA league that's really at fault. I don't hate Dirk (never did), I'm just frustrated like many dedicated fans.

As for Nash, it's now or never for him. Since Gasol has a ring already, it would be very pleasing to see Nash finally win one, and starts by beating the Spurs.

Excellent reply. Thanks for stating where you stand. I was just really confused. You have always been a huge Dirk Nowitzki Fan and like many others, you turned your back on him. I don't think that's fair. The guy has done things most can only dream about. This is the last place I would expect to see fans turn on a great basketball player like Nowitzki. Sorry if I came off a little harsh but I'm just tired of white athletes in general always taking most of the blame.

I do love Gasol and he is a stud. He plays defense as good as anyone on the Lakers Team and up there with most in the league. I just can't stand the Lakers. This is the year for Nash. It has to be. He wants it so bad. I hear the local interviews and he is hungry. Trust me that they have a chance to shock the Lakers. It will take a great effort but they can do it. The Spurs scare me a little but the Suns are focused. They should get it done!

Now I'm really pumped up! I'm looking forward to a WCF match of Lakers Vs. Suns, and I'll be rooting for the Suns to win. But first, they need to pounce the Spurs away.

Out east, I'd rather see Boston win, can't stand all the stinking hype on LeQueen!

A ECF match of Magic Vs. Celtics if more like it, and with Magic going to the finals against the Suns.

Either way, best Finals picture is... Magic vs. Suns/Lakers!

Regardless of whether Dirk wins a ring or not (My deepest apologies), he'll ALWAYS be my favorite, next is Gasol, and third is Nash

It seems that the Lakers will make quick work of the Jazz. Being that basketball is a game of match-ups (perhaps more than any other team sport), the Jazz are in an absolutely horrible position here. They have become a sort whipping boy/punching bag for the Lakers and have no chance due to the huge size disadvantage up front. Even if they had Okur and Kirilenko, it would not be a very long series. I think the Lakers in 5 is a likely outcome.

The Suns/Spurs series could go 7 games. Edited by: foobar75

The Suns will win the series in 6 games at the most. Possibly in 5. While I may not agree with the teams views on some things, they are fun to watch. Nash is the best point guard since Stockton and it would be nice to see him get this team to the finals. As I said before the series started, the Suns are primed and ready. They will have a good chance to beat the Lakers. I just wish Gasol was on the Suns and not playing for the LA Fakers. LOL.

WL, I think J41181's point was that although Dirk is a phenomenal player and a future HOFer he doesn't have that killer instinct that Jerry West, Magic Johnson, Larry Bird, Michael Jordan and Kobe Bryant have.

If you put Steve Nash together with Dirk again, for the end of their careers it could work wonders. Dirk has improved his post game and defense and Nash is an even better passer than he was while with the Mavs. Nash seems to have that killer instinct/ penchant for the clutch shot/pass.

I have seen Dirk make a few huge plays in shinning moments in the playoffs, like his 3 point play against the Spurs in game 7 (the year the Mavs made the finals), but Dirk doesn't get any better in the big moments and seems to defer to other guys too much at times. Dirk will need to join up with other star power like Kevin Garnett did with Boston to win a title it seems.

Well it's looking like my prediction will come true. The Suns took a 3-0 lead behind back up point guard Goran Dragic. He scored 26 points in the 2nd half. 22 of his points came in the 4th quarter! This guy is a future all star. He can cross over on anyone. He can shoot, dunk on you an play great defense as well. The kid is amazing. The Suns are so lucky to have found Nash's Replacement down the road. One more game and bring on the stinking Lakers!

Just so you guys know, most Suns Fans are against the teams decision to protest the law. Most Suns Fans like the law!

Politics aside, It's awesome seeing the Suns up 3-0! I've always admired Ginobili, but he's got 3 rings already, and it's time for Nash to snag one himself. Gasol too has won one himself, and it's still quite a bummer to see Dirk out of the playoffs again, but there's always next year again I guess.

For all the drama surrounding Dirk's playoff failures, people need to realize Nash also wants to win the NBA title badly, and the room for error is even smaller for Nash. Goran Dragic is indeed a future all-star, so fortunate of him to learn from one of the greatest point guards ever.

How difficult it is to be Suns fan right now, you support the Arizona law, but have to support the Suns who are against the law. SUCKS!

Nonetheless, I'm looking forward to a Suns vs. Lakers Western Finals! Edited by: j41181

Goran Dragic reminds me of T.J Ford or Tony Parker for how quickly he can explode into the paint. He's phenomenal at getting to the paint, he's a good not great passer. He's getting better with his play making & FG%!

I have similar feelings. I am pulling for Nash for caste reasons and because I have been a huge fan for a decade but am disgusted by his political opinions. Hopefully they will stay out of the immigration debate for the rest of the playoffs and just focus on winning. I am very impressed by Dragic and he is the quickest white point guard I have seen since a young Jason Williams and/or Bob Sura. He has a nasty ankle breaking crossover and obviously Nash is a good mentor to play under.

Damn, Jazz lost! With all do respect to J41181's enthusiasm for LA (thanks to Gasol), I'd most prefer the Jazz to prevail. But it's not likely now since NO NBA team has come for a 3-0 series deficit. Kyle Korver had a brilliant game (23 points, 9-10 FG, 5-5 3pt's), the best effort by a white American in the playoffs. Gasol's really one luck SOB!

I agree indianwhite. What a game it was. Gasol is a monster on the boards. He had 14 points and 17 rebounds! The guy is an animal and he blocked a shot to help save the game for the Lakers. He plays so physical. The Jazz were stupid to not have the ball in Korvers hands. He shot 9-10 from the field. The guy was Mr.Basketall in the state of Wisconsin several years back. The Jazz need to have him on the floor at all times and he should have been the one taking the potential game winning shot.

It will be the Lakers vs the Suns. Phoenix is ready. Trust me on this. The thing that scares me is that the Nba would prefer a Kobe vs Lebron matchup in the finals. It's hard to beat the referees. We will see what happens in a week or so. Go Suns!

Sorry, I cannot root for Steve Nash any longer. Now that I know his political views and his support of the illegal vermin in AZ, I will be rooting for the Lakers to defeat the Suns the Western Conference Finals.

LA still has stud Pao Gasol to root for, plus I was pleasantly surprised when Phil Jackson expressed his disagreement with the Los Suns nonsense and actually stated that most Americans want the immigration laws enforced in this country, which is true. Phil is a liberal, but in this particular instance, I'm glad he's taken the correct position.

Steve Nash is not even an American, he's married to some South American woman, and he should've just kept his mouth shut in this whole matter.

Stating a position publicly, against this "Los Suns" crap, would likely have only gotten Nash trouble from his wife and the stupid Suns owner. He should have just given no comment, but I still think you're making too much of this foobar75.

The Suns give more minutes to white players than the Lakers- and have the two time MVP white PG on their roster who's a heck of a PG in an era where white guards seem to be decreasing every decade. And his future replacement Dragic is becoming a heck of a player too. And Louis Amundson is starting to bring a Paul Millsap type intensity off the bench.

Nash may be too liberal, but he seems like a caring guy overall- and after all he's Canadian. I must say- living up here- I'll tell you that 3/4s or more of Canadians are probably more liberal than your average American on economics, foreign policy and social "justice" (which with ultra liberals seems to be unjust).

Luckily, there has been a growing pro life movement up here though that me and my wife are getting involved in- and this is truly social justice.

Steve Nash has always been an outspoken tree-hugging liberal, but I still root for him. Dragic is good, but he needs to cut down on his turn-overs. I'd like to see him on the floor with Nash sometimes. The Suns will have a lot of trouble with the Lakers; they can't match up inside with Gasol, Bynum and Odom. The Lakers aren't as good as they were last year, mainly because they don't have the 3-point shooters Radmanovic and Vujacic.

Also, I hate Jeff Van Gundy. He is the most blatantly anti-white commentator. He has the self-deprecating sense of humor because he's short and bald, but then he feels like he can make fun of any white player. Luke Walton was on a fast break being chased by Kyle Korver and Van Gundy had to make a gratuitous insult of how those were the slowest two players to watch on a fast break. He's constantly pointing out how white players can't guard anybody.

That sucks about Van Gundy. I've always thought he was pretty funny and offered good insight. Since I only hear him a handful of times a year, I have probably just missed his caste comments.

Dragic was insane in that 4th qtr of Game 3! 26 pts in only 17 minutes! The Suns bench has been the difference! I hope the Suns beat the Lakers...only wish Robin Lopez could get back healthy enough; they need his inside presence.

If Boozer doesn't choke twice inside the last minute it's probably 2-1...1st he fumbles great pass for easy lay-up; then whines foul after he loses ball on the way up for a shot under the rim

Yeah heard Van Gundy say that too...what a goof-ball!

I'm not gonna let Nash's political views ruin my support for him. He's the best white guard (other than Ginobili) out there, and desreves all our support. There is an alarming dwindle of white guards in the NBA, outside Nash & Ginobili, the future doesn't look good for the white guard, the same way it is for the white cornerback.

One Eye Stevie with a game for the ages, 10 point and 5 assists in the 4th quarter with only one eye!!! Steve Kerr looks like a genius, Robert Saunders, makes Mark Cuban look like a jester. Congratulations to the Suns for finally beating the Spurs in the playoffs!!

The Lakers will have to beat Utah in order to catch the Suns less fresh, but I think the pressures on them. The Suns look formidable, they have a formidable bench, they are the team to beat in the West!

The Cavs are in a tight fight against the Celtics (which is good), and considering the Magic are having their way against the Hawks, it doesn't look good for either team. I'd prefer the Celtics to upset the Cavs (Lebron my ARSE!!!), and prefer the Magic to make the Finals.

Steve Nash is the Man!!!
BEST point guard in the NBA!!!!
Go Suns!!!!

Steve Nash has the eye of the tiger. The guy is possesed. He will get them past the LaLa Boys. I'm not even worried about jinxing them. The Suns will make the NBA Finals!

They also announced a few days ago that they will not wear those Los Suns Jerseys for the remainer of the playoffs. That is a relief! Go Suns.

Nash and Ginobili are my 2 favs. Both are great at what they do, and both are fierce, fierce competitors (without being chest thumpers). I just wish they were on the same team.

Magic beat Hawks. Their Great White Bench will give the Cavs or Celts fits.
In the West the Suns look good. 3 whites on the Suns including the HOFer Nash.
That is the preferred matchup with Pau Gasol as a decent consolation prize.

I was impressed with Miller's comment of Gasol and Odom manning the front-line being LA at it's best. Andrew Bynum has been really at best ineffective. I'm amazed how people say Gasol plays with little or no passion when it's otherwise true for Bynum.

Gasol by the way was a beast tonight (33 points, 14 rebounds), and he shut down Boozer (just 10 points, 6 fouls). This has truly been a redemption year for Nash, who is now regarded as the league's best PG. Such distinction has been always for Nash. With Parker, Paul, and Willimas out of the whole picture, the spotlight now belongs to Nash.

As Gasol, really lucky SOB he is, he played remarkable despite Kobe apparent ball-hogging-ness. Congrats to both Gasol and Nash.

Also congrats to the Magic, their white bench is quite a joy to see despite limited minutes.
