Here are the updated white starters for the Division Leaders as of right now.

AL East: Tampa Bay- 5

AL Central: Minnesota- 6

AL West: Oakland- 7

Do the AL starter tallies take the DH into consideration?

Stephen Strasburg K's 14 in his major league debut and gets the win.

He also gets plenty of help from the powerful trio of Ryan Zimmerman, Adam Dunn and Josh Willingham.

Unreal debut by Strasburg tonight. All of his pitches were plus-plus; He dialed up the fastball to 101mph, with great movement, an otherworldly hook, and a great change. He wasn't cheated on any of his 14 Ks, and pitched seven innings, to boot. Not to mention what separates him from other prospects in years past; his control. He surrendered no bases on balls.

What a phenomenal first start for the budding superstar. Washington now has their marquee athlete to rally behind, accompanying third baseman Ryan Zimmerman. With the addition of Bryce Harper, I see nothing but good seasons ahead of the Nationals. And take a guess what it took to pull them out of mediocrity into the national spotlight; superb white athletes.

What a concept, eh?

Ian Snell had another terrible game for the Mariners today.

He's making $8 million and causing problems with his pathetic attitude again.

Milton Bradley is rakin' in $10 million and batting about .200 when he's not in the nuthouse.

And the Mariners wonder why they're having such a poor season.

Justin Masterson of the Indians with a complete game shutout tonight.

I see a ton of white pitchers drafted this week. But then MLB teams will go crazy in Latin America later this year....

Youngsters Drew Stubbs of the Reds and Buster Posey of the Giants with big games.

Gotta find some positives from MLB because there is little good to be seen with the NFL and the NBA.

Don't forget Chone Figgins.. When Seattle signed him to a huge contract, ESPN constantly blathered - "What a great pick up! He might get them over-the-hump."

He had some good years with the Angels' -- but I didn't think he was going to be a good fit for Seattle. Seattle needs some players that CAN hit the long ball....

Forgot about him, deadlift.

Come to think of it, Seattle wasted tens of millions on Adrian Beltre after his steroid-inflated numbers with the Dodgers, so you'd think they'd finally get a clue about throwing so much money at underachieving headcases and 'roid boys, but I guess not.

I saw where, right now, there would only be 2 White fielding starters representing the AL in the All-Star game, Justin Morneau and Joe Mauer...

Josh Hamilton has been on a tear, and yet Ichiro is projected to start in RF, I recall.

The mindless stupidity of the DWFs is once again on display here. In more bad news the NL All Star starters will be no better.

Hopefully our guys will rightfully get selected as reserves.

White men are doing excellent today. Josh Hamilton continues his tear. David Wright explodes.

Joey Votto is the clear leader of the Reds. Troy Glaus (is he part Mexican/Injun?) adds 2 more long balls.

Stephen Strasburg wins again in his second start-5+innings, only 2 hits and 8 Ks.

Zack Greinke with a complete game win and 12 Ks.

I know baseball is not particularly popular on CF, but it sure is nice if you like this sport to be able to have plenty of guys to cheer for.

Don't worry, VSCF. I'm with you.

Cleveland Indians rookie catcher Carlos Santana was on the receiving end of one of the funniest "Welcome to the Majors" moments you'll ever see. Nationals first baseman Adam Dunn was coming home to score on a single, and Santana decided it would be a good idea to stand over home plate.

Ted Lilly almost throws a no hitter tonight for the very dark Cubs. White pitching continues to excel this year.

Both Ted Lilly and Gavin Floyd were dominant for the Chicago teams, pitching no-hitters til late in the game.

The Cubs continue to flounder, which they deserve for putting such an overpaid caste line-up on the field.

The White Sox have 4 starting pitchers who really could help them make a run in the second half: Floyd, John Danks, Mark Buehrle and Jake Peavy.

PhillyBirds: Thanks for the vid. I think more major-leaguers need to run into the catcher on plays at the plate. There is too much of this sliding around the guy to avoid contact. Sometimes this makes sense, but not as often as we see it in recent years.

But then we have to remember that Adam Dunn is like 6'6 and 280 and any sensible catcher, unlike the rookie affletito he crushed in this clip, would try to avoid him.

Adam Dunn is sitting at 330 HRs in his age 30 season. I've got to believe he has an excellent chance for the 500 HR Club before he calls it quits.

Jim Thome is at 569 HRs during his age 40 season. I don't think he has enought left in the tank to get to 600 HRs, but it's been a great career.

I'm surprised to see so many blacks in the 500 home run club. They lack great hand eye coordination so I'm lost as to what the reason for their accomplishments are.

I was pretty furious when the White Sox decided not to re-sign Thome as their DH this offseason. He hit 34 homers in 2008, and 23 in 2010, despite being a bench bat for the Dodgers in the latter half of the season. The Sox decided to do a DH carousel with three inferior/old hitters: Omar Vizquel, Mark Kotsay and Andruw Jones. Jones started out hot but has regressed, Vizquel is an over-40 defensive shortstop, and Kotsay is merely a good backup.

This decision, above all things, cost Jim Thome the chance to hit 600 home runs. I really can't forgive Chicago for their ignoring of one of my favorite ballplayers.

It's good to see that Colby Rasmus has hit some more long balls lately.
