Thanks Don. I was just going by the televised intros of the players shown at the start of the game. This is how the DWFs judge who is starting as they guzzle their beer and munch their chips.

The Packers need to draft Greenwood or another white safety. Their starting SS right now has 45 tackles and no sacks, interceptions, FFs, of FRs. Please draft Greenwood, Crick, and Casey Matthews. 6 whites on defense would be great with Zombo, Hawk, and Clay Matthews.

wow, after either McCarthy or GMs defending Jones' hands saying it's the concentration that he sometimes lacks, now this:

Coach Mike McCarthy tried to explain James Jones' hideous second quarter drop Sunday by saying the talented receiver has a "thumb he's dealing with."

We'd give this explanation more credence if it marked the first time Jones has dropped a wide-open deep ball that was in his bread basket. But he has struggled with drops all year, including sure touchdowns against the Jets and Cowboys in Weeks 8 and 9, respectively. Note that Aaron Rodgers did not target Jones once after yesterday's drop.
Source: Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel

even rotoworld doesn't buy it. i just hope they are propping him up so he doesn't lose too much trade value... Packers would be fine with Jennings, Nelson and Swain as their top 3 receivers...

Jones has a thumb he's dealing with alright ... at least one (or possibly both)is firmly wedged up his ass. the other possibility, considering how poorly he "catches" the football, is that unlike normal human beings this "soopa afflete" was born without opposable thumbs.

both scenarioes appearequally likely.

Yeah if he was white with all those drops he'd be using that thumb to hitch a ride out of Green Bay.

Classic!!! ain't it the truth!

I'd rather see them whiten the offense. Since their D has been getting the job done- although it's still too black/ anti-white- fans and media may start to protest if the D went majority white starters in this ridiculous Marxist hot headed era. If I could pick 7 lucky moves for the Pack's GM to make it would be:

1. Trade James Jones or reduce his role until his contract is up UNLESS he improves his hands which is a tough thing to do if you have a chronic case of the drops.
2. Jordy is already as much or more of an impact player than Jones (although a different style), even if Jones didn't have the butterfingers problem. Jordy being a large target as the #2 would be a nice contrast to the average sized Jennings at Split End. Put Nelson as the #2 Flanker.
3. Put Swain in the slot and only rotate Driver or Jones in in certain packages as Driver looks to have declined a bit in the last year or so.
4. Sign Jake Sharp to be used in a Danny Woodhead like role for the team in a dual threat backfield with either Grant or Starks as the more north/south style powerback.
5. Cut Dimitri Nance who isn't an NFL caliber player IMO.
6. Close, but I'd lean toward keeping Brandon Jackson around as a receiving back for rare packages to keep "racial peace" even though he is overrated and isn't needed with a superior player like Sharp there.
7. Keep John Kuhn around for short yardage duty, pass catching in rare packages and blocking in an H-back type role.

Also note that they'd likely want to get down to 6 RBs on the roster either FB Korey Hall or Quinn Johnson would have to be cut. Whoever the better blocker is would be the one to stay.

The Packers offense would get NOTICEABLY BETTER IF these moves were made. And although the Packers would be getting closer to racial fairness the team would still be anti-white/ pro black enough that I don't think the GM would get run out of town by the media or any racist black players on the team- particularly if the Packers offense improved AS IT WOULD and they kept winning!

Packers, you don't have to be reading caste football to figure this stuff out on how to evaluate talent- it's simple common sense for people with football knowledge who watch film!

There is nothing like "love" from the bruthas a week before the SuperBowl.

Packers TE Jermichael Finley helped prolong "team-photo gate" on
Saturday afternoon, seconding ILB Nick Barnett's criticism of Aaron
Rodgers after Rodgers appeared to call out the duo for not rehabbing
their injuries in Green Bay this season.
<div ="s_pNewsTextMain">
After Barnett tweeted "it's easy to speak about others when you are not
in their position" on Saturday afternoon, Finley responded (in all
caps) "true facts right there." He added "for my followers that want to
know why im rehabbing in (Arizona), (because) I get the top of the line
training" and "think before y'all speak." Apparently neither have gotten
the memo that their team has much more important things to worry about
this week.

Lol wow Barnett should be out of Green Bay soon enough and I wouldn't mind seeing Finley leave Green Bay as well. Even though Finley will most likely be a Packer for a while, when he was healthy he took away targets from Jordy Nelson! THey can rehab wherever they want, but they will have to live with the fact that they were out of town while their team has been working towards the ultimate goal of a Superbowl.

375 lb sumo gets his weight down to 350. Let's give him a hand.

Packers NT Howard Green has moved into the starting lineup the past two games against the Falcons and Bears.
<div ="s_pNewsTextMain">
After Green weighed in at 375 pounds, he was cut by the Jets in October
for the 12th time by his 10th different team. He's now "down" to 350.
Coordinator Dom Capers has essentially gone with three nose tackles up
front in his 3-4 scheme, allowing the linebackers and safeties to roam
free.

Zombo ready to cap off dream year at Super Bowl XLV

By DREW ELLIS
Sun Sports Writer

A year ago today, Frank Zombo wasn't sure what the future held for him.

He certainly wouldn't have guessed he'd be part of Super Bowl XLV with the Green Bay Packers as they take on the Pittsburgh Steelers.

"I have been blessed,"Â￾ Zombo said. "It has been a crazy 12 months but everything has worked out for the best and I am glad I made the choices I did."Â￾

Zombo is one of four former Chippewas to be part of this year's Super Bowl, as he joins Green Bay teammates Josh Gordy and Cullen Jenkins, and Pittsburgh receiver Antonio Brown.

"It is real important to me to represent CMU in the Super Bowl,"Â￾ Zombo said. "I walk around with a lot of CMU pride. Cullen, Josh, and myself all break out the maroon and gold, and are proud of where we came from."Â￾

Coming off his senior season at Central Michigan University, where was an All-Mid-American Conference first-team selection at defensive end, Zombo wasn't thought of much as a prospect for the NFL draft, and four years of college football had taken its toll on him.

"I was definitely beat up after my senior year at CMU,"Â￾ Zombo said. "I was wondering if I could still play, and if I even wanted to still play."Â￾

Perhaps it was the success of his teammates that turned Zombo's future around as Dan LeFevour and Antonio Brown were being scouted for the draft by a number of NFL teams. So, when CMU held its Senior Day workout in front of NFL scouts, Zombo decided to give it a shot and participate.

He took part in all the drills and caught the eye of the scouts. Despite playing defensive end throughout his college career, Zombo worked out as a tight end and linebacker that day as well.

"I really didn't know what to expect,"Â￾ Zombo said. "I had teams working me out at different positions, and I got a lot of good feedback. I left there feeling like I had a shot."Â￾

Zombo went undrafted but was quickly contacted by the Packers to attend organized team activities and mini-camp as an outside linebacker with a chance to make training camp if things went well.

"I knew I had a shot, and my agent thought Green Bay would be a good fit,"Â￾ Zombo said. "I had never played outside linebacker before, but I was hoping to learn quickly and just earn a spot on the practice squad."Â￾

He impressed the coaching staff and was invited to training camp where his work ethic and injury problems for other linebackers opened the door to a great opportunity.

"I was doing good things in camp, and some guys got hurt, so I got a chance to prove myself on the field,"Â￾ Zombo said.

He was a big factor for Green Bay once the preseason rolled around as he led the team in tackles (18) and sacks (2) and had a sack fumble of Indianapolis quarterback Peyton Manning.

As Green Bay made its final roster cuts, Zombo was one of the players that was on the border of being cut, but ultimately he got the good news that he had made the active roster for the season.

"I had a lot of guys tell me that they thought I would make it, but I didn't want to get my hopes up,"Â￾ he said. "When my coach actually told me I made the team it was a tremendous feeling, and it really all didn't hit me until we took the team photo, and I was standing next to all these great players and was now their teammate. It was surreal."Â￾

The injury situation forced Zombo into action right away, and he made his mark quickly. In the season opener, he sacked Philadelphia quarterback Michael Vick on his first NFL play.

"That sack was really pretty easy. Well, it is never easy to sack Michael Vick, but it was right there for me because of the way the play was designed,"Â￾ Zombo said. "Everyone else did their job, and I had an open look at him and got him."Â￾

Just a few weeks later, Zombo made his first NFL start in Green Bay and picked up his second sack of the year. On the season, Zombo had four sacks and 38 tackles to go along with two forced fumbles.

"As the season moved on I felt like I could play, and I knew I could play. I just kept gaining confidence,"Â￾ Zombo said. "I felt prepared, and I just wanted to make sure I did my part for the team."Â￾

The Sterling Heights native even returned to his home state on Dec. 12 to take on the Detroit Lions, but that would be the last time Zombo saw the NFL field as he injured his knee during the game and hasn't been able to play since.

"The injury was just kind of a freak thing,"Â￾ Zombo said. "I just landed on it wrong and sprained my PCL."Â￾

Despite missing all three playoff games, Zombo is hopeful to be on the field come Super Bowl XLV.

"I am going to keep working it out and we will figure out what to do,"Â￾ Zombo said. "I can walk and run on it, but playing football is another story. I want to be on the field, and if there is anything I can do to play, I will."Â￾

No matter what happens in the Super Bowl, Zombo has earned his spot with the Packers and has been an inspiring story for Central Michigan fans and his former teammates.

"The cool thing about Frank is he was brought in by Green Bay to be a ‘camZombvp guy'. He was a body that they could bang around in camp and give starters a blow in practice and preseason games,"Â￾ said Brian Brunner, Zombo's former teammate and former member of the Green Bay organization. "But Green Bay had some injuries, Frank got a chance to be productive, and he made the most of that opportunity and just played fantastic. He earned his spot on the roster and his opportunity to be in the Super Bowl. He is also a real media darling in Green Bay, and the fans love him there."Â￾

Despite the whirlwind of success he has had, Zombo hasn't forgotten where he comes from, and he doesn't let his new teammates forget where they come from.

"I was just giving Greg Jennings a lot of heat about Western the other day,"Â￾ Zombo said. Jennings played at Western Michigan.

"That rivalry runs deep and we jaw back-and-forth about it a lot."Â￾

A year ago Zombo didn't know what he would be doing at this time but now, he feels his future is pretty well set.

"I hope to be in Green Bay forever, and I know I can play in the NFL for years to come,"Â￾ Zombo said. "I love it here and I love this team. The city is just like Mt. Pleasant, and everyone treats you with respect."Â￾

"Hopefully we can get a Super Bowl ring and earn a spot in history in this great organization and do it again year after year."Â￾

Here's some entertaining highlights from the AP's story on the Packers' victory celebration in Green Bay:

The stadium opened two hours before the ceremony. The atmosphere inside was electric as fans watched highlights from the past season on the stadium's giant television screens set to a rousing orchestral soundtrack. The crowd waved world champion flags, erupted into chants of "Go Pack Go!" and danced to House of Pain's "Jump Around" and the Village People's "YMCA." [I wonder if the Packers donned their pink ribbons and shoes for the latter song.]
Green Bay Mayor Jim Schmitt addressed the crowd from a stage on the 50-yard line, announcing the city would name a street "McCarthy's Way" in keeping with a tradition that calls for the city to name a street after every Super Bowl-winning coach.
Republican Gov. Scott Walker was next, generating a mix of cheers and boos from the crowd. He handed Packers President Mark Murphy a proclamation declaring February Packers month.
But the crowd was more interested in seeing their heroes than their politicians, as evidenced by signs that read "Jordy Nelson, Will You Be My Valentine?" and "Clay Matthews Will You Marry Me?"
Kimberly Zachary, 19, of La Crosse, held a sign that read "Driver Your Smile Makes It All Worth While," referring to veteran wide receiver Donald Driver, whose ever-present grin has helped him emerge as a fan heartthrob.

Interesting stuff. It seems like this white girl Zachary has a thing for bruthas though. I knew those watermelon grins were good for something.

How can I respect Donald Driver when he wears "earrings?" He might as well be named DeSean Jackson or Michael Vick...

I noticed his earrings in a recent interview and couldn't help think he looks like an OLD fool. It bugs me when White guys over, let's say 30, wear them too. Like they are trying to cling to their youth.

No real man sports "womernz" jewelry anyways.

I remember as a teen, Dad told me (in no uncertain terms) that I ever came how with an earring...he take my ear off; if my hair got below collar length, he'd have Mom give me a bowl cut & if I ever got a tattoo....he'd take a cheese grader to it. Dad was an old-school, "John Wayne" hard@$$...and it was legit...he was All State football player, was in the 82 AB (Viet Nam) & boxed in the Army.

AJ is no longer with the team, at least for now. he may be smart to get his payday elsewhere if he wants to make more money

Packers released ILB AJ Hawk.
ESPN's Adam Schefter broke the news, and shortly thereafter predicted that Hawk would "return (to Green Bay) with a new deal -- soon." The Packers simply had to make the move now, or risk having to guarantee Hawk $10 million for the 2011 season. Unlike players with expiring contracts, however, Hawk is free to sign elsewhere immediately and will certainly want to max out his earnings. He led the Super Bowl champs in tackles last year.

I think the whole thing with Hawk was just a maneuver to avoid paying him $10 million next season. It pretty much seems that Hawk intends to remain a Packer and the Packers intend to re-sign him. ESPN has already reported that they are close to a deal.

It also looks like the Packers have an all white offensive line, backups included right now. I thought they had one black back up, Newhouse IIRC, but he's not listed on any depth charts right now.

Sumo caught with 600 grams of cocaine. 600 grams is a serious amount. That's about 30,000 dollars worth.

<div>

CBS Houston reports that Packers DE Johnny Jolly was arrested for possession of cocaine on Friday morning.
</div>
<div>
He's not going to play in the NFL again. Jolly, 28, was
already under a league-imposed indefinite for being a prominent member
of the Houston drug trade from 2006 through May of 2008. The former
Packers starter was booked at 12:45AM early Friday after police
discovered 600 grams of cocaine in his car following a routine traffic
stop. It's a felony charge and will ensure that Roger Goodell does not
lift Jolly's suspension anytime soon.

actually could be worth more than 30k if he was intending on breaking it down and cutting it before selling it which was obviously what he was going to do. Hes a big man but that would be enough to last a long time. Looks like he is venturing into other business deals now that there might not be football. I guess he doesn't know how to invest in something....legal.

With that amount he should do some serious jail time. Of course he's going to be charged with distribution. If you get caught with 10 grams you can be charged with distribution. I don't see him doing any less than five years.

Another black sumo avoids jail time. Is anyone surprised?

n what counts as a major surprise, Packers DE
Johnny Jolly will avoid jail time for a 2008 drug possession charge
after agreeing to a plea deal with prosecutors.

<div ="impact">
As part of the deal, his codeine possession charge from
late March was dropped altogether. Jolly had been facing up to 20 years
in prison for the two charges. Instead, he'll be placed on probation
while receiving mandatory drug treatment at a facility in Houston run by
former NBA player John Lucas. Jolly remains under indefinite NFL
suspension. We wouldn't bank on Commissioner Goodell intervening any
time soon, but there's now a chance Jolly will play at some point in
2011.
