2010 Colts

Great news for Pat Angerer. Despite Crissy Collinsworth's best efforts to send Angerer back to the bench, the Colts may finally be coming to realize that coal black doesn't work on defense.

According to NFL.com Peyton Manning "Continues to prove the theory that he can take any three schmoes from the corner bar and make them into 100 yard recievers." By any thre recievers I believe they are refering to Austin Collie, Blair White, and Jacob Tamme, three "schmoes" who clearly have no talent of thier own.

It's very hard for any white skill position players to get any respect. I wouldn't be surprised if that quote means what you say, Woody. All three of these guys are very talented receivers. I know Tamme is a tight end but he should be playing receiver.

Better yet, Tamme is listed at FB...not so bad but so is Danny Woodhead, and that makes no sense whatsoever.

Those depth charts are inaccurate. We shouldn't pay any attention to them. Brian Leonard was also listed as a fullback on one depth chart earlier in the season. The only important thing is what position they play on the field and we all know Tamme is a tight end who also lines up as a receiver at times, just like Dallas Clark.

True. But have you also noticed that on these depth charts they always put the white guy at the bottom? I'm not talking about who's starrting; lets say there are 4 at a position, and 2 white guys, they will always be at the bottom in a row. They're never in the middle or mixed around. See for yourself, it's rather funny. There are very few exception to this rule. It's like the people who put it together arn't really sure exactly where everyone falls, so they keep by this little rule of thumg that the white guys will always be at the bottom.

Accurate depth charts can be quite helpful, inaccurate and outdated ones obviously aren't. The best ones are sites that promote and host fantasy football, like Yahoo, CBS Sports, and ESPN, because they have acompetitive need to stay on top of things. They're usually more accurate than those on NFL.com and even many team sites. Some fantasy football sites, usually subscription ones, are also good sources. Edited by: Don Wassall

Looks like some bad news.

According to the Indianapolis Star, "speculation is rampant" that
Anthony Gonzalez's latest knee injury will keep him out "a while,
possibly the season."
<div ="s_pNewsTextMain"> The Colts
aren't talking, of course. Considering Gonzalez's recent history with
lower leg injuries, it certainly wouldn't surprise if this left knee
injury is season-ending in nature.
</div>

With this latest injury, we might have to do a deep ancestry dig on Gonzalez. Perhaps his great-great-great-great grandpa was black, and he's handed down the "perpetually injured" gene.

Some good news to counter the bad.

Collie (hand) was a limited participant in Wednesday's practice, the ESPN 1070 am Indianapolis reports. Collie says his thumb is feeling better, but calls himself "hour-to-hour," the Indianapolis Star reports.

Recommendation: It was thought he may miss several games, but it sounds like he may have a shot to return this week since he returned to practice on the first practice session of the week. Check his status later in the week.

Does anyone know if Angerer is now the starting outside linebacker? Several depth chart show Wheeler as the starting linebacker but a few reports I read stated Angerer would be a starter now.

Skip Bayless just had his "Bobby Bowden moment.."

He said, "Jacob Tamme and Blair White wouldn't be starting on many college teams right now.. trust me on that."

It was during their "NFL Quarterbacks" segment. It must be their darn skin condition.. WOW, that was simply blatant!

I always thought Skip Bayless had the workings of a woman's brain. I'm sorry I ever insulted women like that.

His comment is absolutely TRUE!!! Unfortunately, that is what's wrong with many college teams!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Bayless was insulting Tamme and Blair White...

with his tone of voice being used, it sounded like he had a personal vendetta against them.

Good point, Rednose.

Reggie Wayne, who has developed slow feet and bad hands, engages in excuse making. From Weenieworld:
Reggie Wayne leads all Colts with 9 drops on the season. Wayne has attributed some of his struggles to the lights at Lucas Oil Stadium. Said Wayne, "I've had trouble with those lights for the last two years. Some games are better than others. I don't know if it's just my eyes going bad, but yeah, I lost it in the lights." Wayne will be a WR1 for the rest of the season, regardless of venue. That being said, the team should look into why Reggie has trouble seeing at his home stadium.

The absence of Dallas Clark has hurt Reggie Wayne. Nobody predicted that. Wes Welker, it was predicted by many, was suppose to be the one to fall apart with the departure of Moss. If anybody didn't know how integral Dallas was to the offense, they do now. I Like Tamme, I believe Dallas is one of those rare weapons that comes along every so often, though. If Manning wants more production from Wayne, he should concentrate on throwing the ball to Blair White more often, if you know what I mean.

The Colts have serious problems this year because of injuries. They probably won't make the playoffs and if Collie was healthy all season he would be a huge help for Manning.

I can't be overlookedwith the Colts problems that they have been either behind or in close contests all season long, not necessarily because of injuries or offensive ineptitude, but because the defense, filled as usual, by affletes, is just plain bad. But these, we are told, are the "best of the best, most elite athletes" by DWF's. No white guys are good enough to replace these stellar performers.

Collie tears it up! 8 REC, 87 YDS, 2 TD
