Freeman to Tampa, another huge reach. Gives the Bucs three black QBs on their roster now.

The NFL never fails to disappoint.

Eagles pick up Maclin for WR. what the hell does maclin bring to the table that Curtis doesnt have? And they talk about Desean Jackson like Curtis isnt even there. I hate these analysts

Weird, I watched both Maclin and Freeman in high school and now they are being drafted. Maclin is a good player but Philly now has 3 WR's similar to each other.

Freeman has the tools but even in high school there were serious questions as Chase Coffman's (TE Mizzou) high school regularly owned his high school. Freeman is not good under pressure.

Hell come to think about it after Matt Stafford, no white has been drafted.

what about Sanchez (who's whiter than some people on this site, btw Mexican is not a RACE ffs).

Cushing and Alex Mack also got drafted by now.

Laurinaitis and Matthews are still waiting, and so is Eben Britton and Barwin...

they drafted Matthews for their new 3-4. if all goes well we could see 4(!) white LBs, since they are moving lampman to hybrid OLB. but it's more likely than Barnett will man the middle with Hawk and Poppinga and Chillar are backups, onve Clay comes through.

The Patriots keep trading down. Hopefully they're figuring Connor Barwin will still be around when they draft in the second round.

Bills take another white o-lineman in C Eric Wood. They're rapidly moving away from their sumo line this offseason, but at the same time taking DE Maybin earlier is moving away from having the whitest d-line in the league.

Just to remind everyone and compare 2009 to last year's draft:

Round 1: (picks 1, 2, 3, 28, 21) were white players, overall 5 picks, 2 QBs, 2 OTs and 1 DE

so far this year is better, 2 QBs, 2 Centers, 2 OLBs

You're right Backrow...I forgot a few. I guess I was upset about how the draft was going and didn't remember.

I beliee he will be one of the best runningbacks this draft has to offer. He really slid under the radar at Uconn. The Boise State runningback also looks to be quite fast.

Moreno is slower, smaller, and less tough than Hillis. Hillis will still be a big part of Denver's offense, but am still mad about Gaffney.

i'm still waiting to see where collie goes, i can't believe britt went before him. I'm a rutgers fan and i've watched every game this season, and i still believe collie is better than britt. Britt is a headcase and can almost guarantee he will become a player very similar to terrell owens in the nfl.

6 whites taken in the first round -- 2 QBs, 2 LBs and 2 centers. At least NFL teams aren't quite as eager to take projects at arguably the three most important positions.

St. Louis picks James L. with their 2nd round pick. Hopefully James will be able to start right away.

2008 Round 2:

6 whites taken: 2 QBs, 1 WR, 1 LB, 1 OL, 1 TE

this year should at least rival it, with Laurinaitis, Barwin, Britton sure fire second rounders.

Ok, lets see who the Donkies will pick in the 2nd round. They picked Alphonso Smith. Hopefully, Britton and Barwin will go soon.

I agree Van, that was stupid when Unger and Britton were still there for the O-Line. What I've come to expect from castewhores Kevin Colbert and Mike Tomlin.
