Starting with his last few years in Jacksonville, Tom Coughlin has gone to a formula of starting Whites only at QB, TE and the o-line, and none anywhere else. His teams are the most predictable that way of any. Which means Chase Blackburn is going to be screwed no matter how good he is, and he's been very good every time he plays:

Second-year linebacker Jonathan Goff could be Antonio Pierce's replacement for New York Giants

Now that
Antonio Pierce is officially gone for the season, the
Giants might be ready to take a look toward the future.
Jonathan Goff, a second-year pro out of
Vanderbilt who could be Pierce's long-term replacement, took some reps with the first team at middle linebacker during practice Wednesday and might get the start there on Sunday against the
Dallas Cowboys. He would replace veteran
Chase Blackburn, who has started for Pierce the last two games.
Both Goff and Blackburn said they haven't been officially told a switch will be made. If it is, however, Blackburn is sure the 6-2, 236-pound Goff will be set.
"He's always ready," Blackburn said. "He prepared hard. He knows what he's doing."
